Performance patch (1.12) doesn't apply to simulated sessions
Dunky1980 replied to Sennup's topic in Gameplay Issues and Bugs TA
Yes I've noticed that to. If you skip qualifying the Ferraris are still using their performance from the pre patch. -
I think you're overthinking it Marioho. Having done multiple test basically the game is bonkers with the setups. It's no different to previous versions. Extreme setups wheel or pad.
-
Yes I agree the AI now is so bad getting off the line it's too easy to make up places.
-
Maximum Camber is to the left. Maximum toe is to the right.

I've got a feeling it will be abused. I can see on fast parts of the track players will put it in attack mode. On the slower sections put it in harvest mode. It wouldn't be as bad as 2019 but you could see it being used a few times per lap. it's the same as the stupid fuel mix you don't see drivers putting it in low in corners and high in straights.

Does anyone else feel like DRS and slipstream are very ineffective?
Dunky1980 replied to Ewanoss9's topic in F1 Chat
DRS is fine slipstream probably is a little too weak this year where it was overpowered arcade in 2019. I do like it as it makes overtaking more challenging and I've had some great battles. So I wouldn't want it to change too much from this year. -
Going to a save, neutral, attackmode. Will only bring back the problems we had with the game in the last few years. Players will end up going into safe mode in the corners and use attack mode or overtake on the straights. It would go back to being very unrealistic and micromanaging again.
-
No because people will end up turning it off in the corners and use overtake again on the straights. It would end up the same as 2019 micromanagement nightmare and not realistic
-
Yes I agree it's too easy now to get the jump on the AI at the start on the grid. I always make up a few positions. The AI pulls away ok then goes into wheel spin and loses momentum.
-
Oh yes I love Monaco grand Prix racing simulator 2 on the PC. That was my first game on on my first PC in 2000. I still have the game. Grand Prix 4 always go down probably for me is my best F1 game.

It's something codemasters need to look up with 25% races. The two strategies that the AI will run is soft/medium or soft/hard. It's strange because with the soft/hard combo. The AI does more laps on the soft compared to the soft/medium compound. Meaning the AI will run on old soft warn tyres longer. Then switch for a few laps on hard tyres which makes them very slow.

I don't have a laptop. Can it been used on Android phone?

Started at 100% won the championship so have moved up to 105%
-
I never use it. If I make a mistake you got a take it on the chin like you would in real life. Your driving style can change as you can take huge risk and just use a flashback if it goes wrong.
-
The AI is definitely a little bit soft. Especially if they're trying to overtake you. It's too easy to keep them behind you. I'm playing on 105%.

Been asking for this for years. In the championship mode you can only play as the real driver. Why is there not an option like my team and driver career where we can play as ourselves? I don't want to do drivers career as I can't be bothered to do the practice sessions or or upgrade the car. I just want to get racing and be able to play with my own name and not as max verstappen as an example.
-
Championship but I hate I have to play as one of the real drivers and not as me.
-
The full system was hated by the esport drivers as you were changing the ERS every single corner to be competitive. As the real F1 drivers said you don't do that as it made it over complex and unrealistic.
-
Because last year's ERS was being used unrealistic. People were changing it for every single corner because it gave an advantage. As the real F1 driver said that's not realistic and it was pretty much hated by all the esport players as well. the engineers in real formula 1 are not telling the drivers to change it multiple times per corner. They may have preset settings. But they're not micromanaging it.
-
Well I love it David it was the right choice and makes a racing so much better.
-
I disagree I think the slipstream is perfect this year makes it feel like proper racing where you have to earn your overtake. Don't want it going back to 2019 where it became like an arcade mode.
-
Yes I'm getting the same on the PS4 Pro. It's really painful when you restart a race the loading screen takes ages.
-
well I hope codemasters look at it as not all of us want to do the practice programs and the car development. I just want to focus on the racing but without all the technical stuff.
-
This is great news ERS on 2019 was awful. Very unrealistic I'm happy real formula 1 drivers have had an influence. you only had to watch League races of the top players and there was no strategy. Everybody used 0 in the corners and overtake on the straights which was ridiculous. Well done codemasters 😁 .
