DiRT Rally 2.0 - Version 1.12 Bug Reports

The "lock to horizon" on the trackir 5 does not work, unlike the vr.
  2. I bought the trackir 5 thinking to bypass the "lock" problem (considering that in vr the lock is fully functional) but I found, in spite of myself, that the problem persists even with this peripheral installed. Codemasters, you are unique for your works left in half.

    Something is coming closer...

Or may be a lock to horizon option in 2D? Naaa, I no longer believe in fairy tales.

    A proper analog handbrake.. čśĺ
  5. @PJTierneyI'm sorry but I'm afraid I didn't understand. We would like a 2D cockpit camera lock (not in vr, it already there). Pratically, a "lock to horizon" option in 2D, option that all driving games have. If you read this topic you will understand better. It is quite short (the topic). Thanks for your reply.
  6. @PJTierneySo did you understand our point of view?
  7. I'm sorry but I thought it was the only way to get your attention. čÖä Anyway, I'm looking for a way to able this locking in 2D. There are stages that I (like many others) just can't tolerate because of the excessive bump. And immediately I had to remove them from my go to list. The stages with less bumps, instead, I can tolerate them for a very short time. Then the usual headaches and nausea take over me (always in 2D). I saw the video of the just published Finnish rally the other day and I was going to be sick. I own the deluxe edition + S3 + S4 (PC, Steam) but let's say I have tried 1/4 of the game so far exactly for this reason, also considering´╗┐ the fact that I don't care about ra´╗┐llyc´╗┐ross´╗┐. Which for hundreds of euros is not bad. I only asked for 2 things, a proper working handbrake and the possibility to choose a fixed cockpit cam in 2D (the´╗┐´╗┐ "No ´╗┐Shake" entry in´╗┐ the "Camera Shake" does not seem to work as it should and for this reason I reported it in the "bugs" topic). For me everything else, apart from the already fixed audio bug and some wrong co-driver patch notes, doesn't matter. Liveries, sounds and visual bugs do not add anything to me. Please, help us. I only know that I would like to play my favorite rally game quietly. Sorry for my bad english.
  8. @PJTierneyCan you answer me how any polite person would do? Because I asked you something with kindness and education about this topic and for about a month I expect any answer, be it positive or negative. What's wrong with being a decent human being and having the common courtesy to reply me?
  9. Deleted for double post.
  10. Why the cockpit cam in vr is fully locked but in the traditional way it is not? Is there a possibility to solve the problem by ourselves through the config file? Because this problem would take 5 minutes to work.
  11. Deleted for double post.
  12. Please CM, can you merge this topic with "Please take out/optionalize shaky(static) cam" (same subject) and move it to "general discussions"? I don't think it is the right section since we know it's a code error (and for this reason it is not a suggestion). In this section this topic does not have the visibility it deserves and it would be appropriate to be able to talk about it with others. Thanks.
  13. One last thing: here on the forum we already talk about dirt rally 3, I would rather like to start playing the 2.0! čść
  14. I only know that I would like to play my favorite rally game quietly. There are stages that I just can't tolerate because of the excessive bump. I tried them but, immediately removed them from my playlist. I can bear the stages with less bumps, on the other hand, for a maximum of one hour. Then the usual headaches and nausea take over me. I saw the video of the almost published Finnish rally the other day and I was going to be sick. Let's say I have tried 1/4 of the game so far, also considering the fact that I don't care about rallycross. Which for hundreds of euros is not bad. I only asked for 2 things, a working handbrake and the possibility to choose a fixed cockpit cam. For me everything else, apart from the already fixed audio bug and some wrong co-driver patch notes, doesn't matter. Liveries, sounds and visual bugs do not add anything to me but I understand that someone might be annoyed.
  15. I would not say naive, you are just a little too optimistic because of the amount of complaints never heard here on the forum. As for the waste of time, I would prefer not to answer you. But you probably have already figured it out. čść
  16. I like your optimism. You almost convinced me. čśü
  17. Exactly. I don't think it takes so much work to fix it, I think instead they lack passion for cars and enthusiasm. For this reason I wonder, why carry on 4 projects (dirt, f1, grid and f1 mobile) with mediocre results? The answer is always the same, money. I would love to be denied with the facts.
  18. I am sorry to have to tell you but probably they will never hear us. We have resurrected a topic that has been going on for several months but to which they have never given an answer. I also reported the problem on the thread concerning the bugs of version 1.10 in "Technical Assistance" (the´╗┐´╗┐ ´╗┐"No Shake" entry in´╗┐ the "Camera Shake" leaves no room for further considerations, it seems precisely a code error) and, at the moment, I have not had any answer. PJTierney constantly enters and leaves the forum but he continues to ignore us. The posts that do not go unnoticed are those that are inconvenient to them and promptly they will remove them. Their only real interest seems to be to publish paid dlc for obvious reasons. Just a couple of bugfixes every month and nothing else relevant. I've never seen yet a patch focused exclusively on resolving bugs. It seems that they don't care about customer satisfaction. Unfortunately I must confess that I lost hope. Sorry for my bad english.
  19. Yes, it seems to me that in vr the camera is locked. I'd like it if they could explain it. Hopefully good, in the meantime I invite you to follow this topic as well: https://forums.codemasters.com/topic/35533-please-take-outoptionalize-shakystatic-cam/
  20. I have a complete sim rig and I can't seem to immerse myself without the view from the cockpit. This lack is a great contradiction for a title defined by themselves "simulative" (for this called Dirt Rally 2.0 and not Dirt 5). To me it seems more like a programming error than anything else. And the "no shake" entry would confirm it. Not to mention the lack of a proper analog handbrake, which, perhaps, will be corrected after almost 9 months from the release of the game (9 MONTHS!, a natural birth pratically). Among other things, I preordered the game in question, but never mind. Now, to fix this lacks would be, in my opinion, a form of respect for those who, like me, spent about 150 euros, including dlc of course, to support ´╗┐their work´╗┐.
  21. Sorry DEVS, I would like to understand better your point of view about this argument. Your silence confuses me.
  22. A simple´╗┐ "lock to horizon" option would solve the problem for those who, like ´╗┐us´╗┐, use´╗┐ ´╗┐the internal camera. It would´╗┐´╗┐´╗┐´╗┐´╗┐´╗┐ also be ´╗┐essential for vr headset ´╗┐users´╗┐. All driving games have this option and I would´╗┐ be really grateful if Codemasters added this possibility.
  23. As the title suggests, I would like to bring back to light a now forgotten topic: https://forums.codemasters.com/topic/35533-please-take-outoptionalize-shakystatic-cam/
  24. @PJTierney Is there a real possibility of having this option? I don't think it takes that much work to put it in. I repeat, any driving game has this option and add it in progress, considering the myriad of bugs that, in my opinion, will never be all corrected (most of the team has already switched to other projects), it would also be a form of respect for those who, like me, spent about 150 euros, including dlc of course, to support your work. It would also be essential for vr headset users. N.B.: the "no shake" entry in the settings should leave no room for any other possible interpretation.
  25. My hope lasted less than I expected. čÖé Yes, I knew it and my shake settings are already at a minimum. For this reason I asked to devs if it was possible lock it completely. Thanks anyway.
