[Suggestion][Wet Weather] Please increase rain spray density
TheEmpireWasRight replied to TheEmpireWasRight's topic in General Discussion
@TomAAA Checked the mod, it is phenomenal Only the white spray should get a little bit more transparent and it will be perfect. Thanks a lot for sharing, you made my day @Coffer . -
Blinking rate of the Red Backlight, F1 20XX
TheEmpireWasRight replied to TheEmpireWasRight's topic in General Discussion
Speaking of ERS, irl the Red Backlight does start blinking at a faster rate when the car is in harvest mode, i never saw that in any of CM's V6T Hybrid games throughout F1 2014 - F1 2019. Attention to detail is lacking in some parts of the game. -
Blinking rate of the Red Backlight, F1 20XX
TheEmpireWasRight replied to TheEmpireWasRight's topic in General Discussion
@chen255 If that is the case, it is gamebreaking to say the least, as why would all cars have the same strategy? It doesn't make any sense, hope CM will look into it, if they haven't already. -
[Suggestion][Wet Weather] Please increase rain spray density
TheEmpireWasRight replied to TheEmpireWasRight's topic in General Discussion
@DirtDiver25 Thanks for the advice, i do drive in cockpit mode, it's the only way to drive any racing game or sim imo. The rain effects are obviously quite good this year, but still way off to real life experiences and hence not good enough yet, once again the rain spray is not as dense as it should be and the Red Backlights actually are supposed to be a bit more distinguishable. From what i recall, CM actually never specifically talked about the rainspray density in the past. Maybe it is either a design choice (a realistic wet weather representation could scare off casuals) or a hardware limitation (PS4 and Xbone are quite underpowered, only the PC and XBoneX platforms could easily handle all the stress imo)? Hopefully they can open up about this. -
F1 2020 - Wishlist/ideas/hopes/suggestions for the future F1 Game(s)
TheEmpireWasRight replied to Mobcat94's topic in General Discussion
Nice list, here are my suggestions: -Helmet Cam, for maximum immersion. -VR, Dirt / Project Cars / Assetto Corsa / GT Sport etc. has it, why not F1? -Increased Look To apex Values, as we currently don't have access to VR this could be a viable alternative option. -Higher rainspray density, currently the rainspray is too forgiving and not dense enough, Lando Norris commented on that stating that he sees too much compared to real life. -Correct blinking rate of the Red Backlights of the cars, especially in the wets the blinking rate is way out of sync to real life. -Correct and improved Engine Sound, at the moment the Engines sound as if they are barely revving. -Slower R&D upgrade ratio, upgrades are too fast and a backmarker should not be able to get to the Top 3 in 1 - 2 seasons. -AI driving in multiple lines, opposed to what we currently have where the AI always forms trains. -
My simhub dash design download:UPDATE 16-8-2019
TheEmpireWasRight replied to AlexTT's topic in General Discussion
Used your Hub design on PC and loaded it into my Tablet, simply phenomenal, can't thank you enough. Imo CM could learn a thing or two from these designs, as that is what we need in the official game. -
[Suggestion][Wet Weather] Please increase rain spray density

@Coffer Thanks for sharing the info, will look up the mod, i play F1 2019 on PS4 and PC, thankfully on PC we have plenty of mods and alternatives. Sadly console players always get the short end of the stick. A slider to adjust the graphical option of rain spray density would be amazing. If i remember correctly, Project Cars offers multiple graphical options such as Bloom, Motion Blur, Shadow quality etc. on consoles to be adjusted to our liking, would be nice if CM did the same. -
Blinking rate of the Red Backlight, F1 20XX
TheEmpireWasRight replied to TheEmpireWasRight's topic in General Discussion
Here's a video of how the ingame blinking rate of the Red Backlight is being shown by CM during wet weather conditions, basically it is the same rate throughout the whole lap, which is wrong if compared to irl footages: 20190802_104029.mp4 -

Here's a video of the ingame rain spray density, which is not even close to what we see irl: 20190802_103538.mp4 -
Blinking rate of the Red Backlight, F1 20XX
TheEmpireWasRight replied to TheEmpireWasRight's topic in General Discussion
Indeed, but in real life the rain spray vortexes are really dense and hard to see through, therefore the Red Backlights probably need to be a bit brighter i guess. Speaking of which, imo ingame the Red Backlights could be a bit brighter as well, especially the Rear Wing lights are almost not visible ingame. -

No, @Worntoathread made this one. But you can easily find it on the SimHub community, just search for templates made by "Vincent". -

I use 45, 60, 90, 90, 30, understeer enhance off and 360° on both my Thrustmaster T300 / T150. Feels the best to me, sadly it is still not close to Assetto Corsa in terms of FFB on consoles.

Cockpit Cam Halo Transparency 2019

Offtopic Hope that F1 2021 will have this type of cockpit protection, looks futuristic, almost like Nintendos F-Zero back in the days. -
Cockpit Cam Halo Transparency 2019
TheEmpireWasRight replied to BiohazardBGR's topic in General Discussion
Awesome idea, totally agree, you have made some great pics there to showcase your point. We need this as a option for the players as irl the halo transparently gets out of the drivers vision (same as with our own nose on our face), but on a 2d flat monitor this effect can not be properly simulated without a transparency slider. I guess many people surely will be happy with this one, me included. Though imo only the halo column should get that transparency option, as that is the only part blocking our view directly, the halo bar should stay untouched. -
Can someone please link a source to Nico Rosbergs Vlog where he shared his opinion about F1 2019?

PETITION: OFFICIAL TV GRAPHICS FOR F1 2019
TheEmpireWasRight replied to AllenB2609's topic in General Discussion
Maybe we get to choose between the official hud and the CM version in the option menu? Also, the Cockpit Cam angle never has shown the full hud in the past, it might look different once T-Cam has been selected this time. Let's wait and see. -
PETITION: OFFICIAL TV GRAPHICS FOR F1 2019
TheEmpireWasRight replied to AllenB2609's topic in General Discussion
To be fair, this is only the cockpit cam (off topic but, hopefully we get a helmet cam this year) and inconclusive at that as well, they could possibly surprise us with more footage to come. We can only wait and see to be honest.
