  1. My favorite number is 55, but ofc I can't pick it.

Some years ago I used to pick also #24, because was a good number at school and Kobe.

Now I use #42, because in IndyCar Series (2003 Codemasters game) when you created a team that was the number they give to you

  2. Asking as an ignorant, but is there any line in the contract with FOM that says "representation of the actual F1 season originally planned/at the date of January 1st" or something like that? If not, isn't F1 already breaking this point?

If they can break that point, an actual representation isn't possible anymore, so people can represent the season as they want.

Remember, I'm an ignorant in contracts, especially UK ones, so I'm probably saying BS

Classic cars were little used and short circuits were not used.

    Are these big losses, no.

Short circuits were not used also because they were GP only.

Imagine using shorter versions in MyTeam last year, that would have been cool, especially that we didn't have Bahrain Outer.

Classic cars... yes I agree. At this point, only few people care about random classic cars. Instead, a lot of people would prefere an entire classic season to play, like 2003 Mod for 2020

The R&D screens are different.  That's about it really IMO.   My Team is basically unchanged too.  Maybe a few new sponsors to use, new liveries, but other than that it'll get stale pretty fast because it's the same too.

As others have said; Braking Point has clearly caused the rest of the game to take a back seat this year.  I'd have rather seen them focus more on the QOL improvements that have been necessary for years now, and see them expand on My Team mode rather than neglecting the core modes of the game to make what sounds like a one and done story mode. It's likely a cool addition; sure but I dont buy and play sports games for that kind of scripted thing.  Id rather be immersed in the core game modes of my team & driver career; especially now that you can only run 3 saves total combine over each mode.

So, basically as a MyTeam player I can save €60 by watching for free Braking Point on YouTube and playing F1 2020 with my comfortable 6 slots?

  5. Hi!

I was watching some video on YouTube about MyTeam in 2021, but I noticed that the 3 people I watched they all chose the "Full Calendar" option at the beginning.

So, as an heavy "Custom Season" user, are in this option any changes or is it the same of last year?

    Thank you

A much appreciated feature, I doubt they'll be removing that mate.

    Finger crossed 🤞

I can't say I'm a fan of the new HUD from first look though.

Agreed, I was expecting something more realistic, like the ones people made on Simhub.

This Hud? Mh, the bottom part gives me some sort of late PS1/Early PS2 Studio Liverpool/EA type of F1 games vibes. Which was cool at the time, but here, for me at least, doesn't impress me.

But anyway, still from me just a minor aspect, I'm more curious about other stuff

  7. I've seen the TM gameplay.

All the settings looks really cool, I hope we'll see something from MyTeam in the near future before the release.

A thing that I'm worried, I haven't seen the 8/16/Full races option before starting a career.

But I've still hope, considering it's a early early access

  8. As the title says, we had 7 legends announced for MyTeam.

But, what about reserve and third drivers? I think they are more important than any legend. People like Kubica, Albon, Hulk should be included in the game, because they're actually part of the licensed teams.

It would cool to have them also to increase the market pool, and maybe to have another R&D to develop, because usually the third driver is the driver who spend more time in the simulator than any driver.

    Hope EA/CM will announce them

  9. I'll repeat myself: will we be able to disable them if we want a realistic career?

I don't wanna see Raikkonen retiring and AI teams getting Schumi or Prost if I'm trying to do a realistic career.

The perfect solution will be like PES: an option to enable or disable them. If they're enabled, every team can sign them, if not anyone except you can sign them.

Anyway, disappointed that like always F1 started with Prost and Senna, nothing happened before. Other drivers from '80s or '70s/'60s/'50s should be included: Fangio (5 WC in 4 teams, in the 50s, for me the truly GOAT), Lauda, Clark, Ascari, Farina, Mansell, Piquet, Surtees (the only one to win a WC in Motorcycle and F1), G. Villeneuve, they're iconic too.

Ok, it's all about rights, but it's sad

It does look like it's something more of a choice and that they wouldn't be in the career mode if you don't pick them

    Hope so.

The best way is like the older PES: there was an option where you could choose if the legends were able to appear or not, and if they appeared, every team could have signed them.

  11. I hope they will include at least all the tracks from the original calendar and the actual calendar from 2021, and give the choise to change the order of the tracks in career modes (so we could manually put Australia in November instead of March)

  12. My Team:

    • Community sharing livery, a place where you can share or download a livery created by others
    • Possibility to change the order of the GPs on the Calendar
    • Possibility to add a track more times (perfect for simulate double-headers like Austria/Styria 2020)
    • At the start, possibility to chose every driver. It's a game, if I want to do a couple of Myself & Vettel/Hamilton at season 1, why not?
    • Option to disable driver requirements (example Fame or Departments levels) for joining a team
    • Option to disable retirements
    • Adding third drivers

    Other

    • All the actual 2020 new/returning tracks in 2021, even if DLC
    • Option to modify attributes of cars and drivers
    • Option to disable damage only for the player car (Ok this is just for fun, but I remember in Indycar 2003 between championship races doing some destruction derby races in quick race for fun)

    Utiopia

    • Option to transfer drivers before starting a career mode. Again, it's a game, if I want to start a career with Hamilton & Vettel in Williams, why not?
    • Option to do a career with an existing drive

Never underestimate how petty any marketing department can be.  Marketing won't give a monkeys about race performance, all they care about is corporate image.  Race performance is down to the team themselves who in turn won't give a monkey's about perception.

And this right here is the actual problem with Ferrari in F1.

Isn't really Binotto, but after the death of Marchionne we have a couple of bosses (Camilleri and Elkann) that don't care at all about performances. They care only about money and profits (and from a business-only view, they're actually right).

So yeah, it's more possible that Ferrari will do anything for trying to preserve some force in the F1 Game than actually build some proper F1 cars in the next couple of years

  14. In 2003, one of the greatest F1 game ever came out: F1 Challenge 99-02
Why is this game great? Because EA, at the end of licensing, made a game comprehensive of all the 4 EA's licensed seasons, and plus in the PS2/XBOX porting you could make a 1999-2002 career (the gameplay of this porting was awful, but the idea is great).
The same game, PC version, has various cool features (options you could set on), like:

    • When skipping qualifying, the grid was in the same order of real life
    • Failures exactly the same as RL
    • Weather exactly the same as RL

    I repeat: 2003, 17 years ago.

A mention: in the Studio Liverpool F1 Games, 2003-2006, you had commentary in-race.

    So:

    1. 10 years career with ACTUAL 2009/2010 - 2020 cars
    2. CREATE A TEAM IN CAREER MODE (as an alternative of point 1)
    3. A short weekend mode that NOT penalize gaining R&D points
    4. When all the teams reach the maximum power, all the power of teams should be the same, not like season 1 like Merc, Fer, RB, ecc...
    5. What is the point of having classic cars when you don't have any classic track? ALSO OLD LAYOUTS of tracks already in game would be cool, for example, i'll prefer the pre-2000 Monza Layout than a boring Short Bahrain
    6. Commentary in race
    7. Official HUD Layout
    8. TEAM LOGO AND SPONSORS ON YOUR HELMET
