DiRT Rally 2.0, Version 1.5: Bug Reporting Thread

H2 fwd AI stupidly fast - not fixed yet.

    End of bug fixes

I just want to play the game comfortably. Many of the complaints posted in this forum were not a problem at all in DR1.Why did the CM made the dicisions that aggravated gameplay from DR1? These are very frustrating for many people, I think. Certainly it has evolved from DR1 in terms of driving cars, but many points got worse in gameplay imo.
  3. I also encountered similar situation. There must be some bug in tire changes.

I completely agree on that point.

As I said before, I was also puzzled by the difference with DR1 in the first play of DR2. However, after playing for a while, I realized that I became able to grasp the behavior of the car and the road surface condition more accurately than DR1. This process is "understanding" in my word. And now I think FFB of DR1 is quite unrealistic. Of course I don’t think that everyone would go through this process, but I expect some people might have the same experience by playing DR2 for a while.

I don't think so. He just recommend to have an open mind, not to have prejudicing. In my eyes, those who are complaining about DR2's FFB doesn’t seem to be trying to understand DR2’s FFB with little effort.

It may be frustrating for you, but I think it is better to try playing for more than 10 hours with DR2 first than discussing here. Then you may possibly change your mind a little. In my case at first I felt there was something wrong , but my mind changed after playing.

physically correct micro vibration caused by gravel is beyond the limit of the computer of today, as @Laserjones said. so implementation of that must be imitation. our discussion seems about which would be better that it exists or not. the answer is simple: all exist and then customers choose them.

Certainly there is no micro vibration, but I can certainly feel the road surface information such as bumps, curbs, and the intrusion from tarmac to gravel. If that micro vibration is so important to you, I will respect it, but for me the micro vibration is not so important.

maybe the really good FFB that people in this thread imagine is the same. To put it very simply, I think there are two types of people who have complaint about the current FFB of DR2. One is people who are looking for FFB that simply contains more feel of reality. The other one is people who just say that DR1's FFB is better. I have anxiety about the latter people. I hope that the apparently artificial and fake FFB elements in DR1 will not come back. Even if so, it should be adjustable.by the way, i think the road contact information is there in DR2 (by tweaking xml on PC)

I think the FFB of DR2 is one of the best too, especially in terms of SAT and feeling of suspentions. but for people who think DR1 is better, just exaggerating some vibration according to the road texture might be a nice solution. Also, it may be good to emphasize the beginning of SAT a little bit. Anyway, I never go back to DR1, because that FFB is so artificial, I feel now.

I am here, the one who believe the feel of weight transfer is the most important in FFB.
