    Thanks @StKnowhere. my SR is fluctuating a lot (yesterday it ranged from 1.4 to 4.3) the drops are manly due to unfair penalties by opponents crashing into me and I get the penalty for it. I even have phases when the whole purpose of the race is the stay out of the way of the opponent to get the SR out of the red / low yellow zone. It's hard to build a rating up through many races but it only take two idiots to drop you right down. (I think single races should also be rated in the SR) If some items are connections / lag related it's an issue on CODEMASTERS side and needs sorting (mine is 150MB/s up & down)
  3. hats off to everyone who is persistent enough to deal with this game. imagine the real F1 to be like the game we would all watch it constantly. It's soooooo random. Imagine: - the drivers getting on a plane turn up at a random track, they have no time to practice and have to memorise 20+ tracks with all the details - get in a random car (it doesn't matter what set-up I choose it's random every time), - drive the qualifying inside the opposition (just in case you haven't experienced it yourself, choose the cockpit view and it will look something like this) - the drivers will find out what their car feels like at the first corner of the race, - well one if they manage to not crash or loose position only to be crashed into by the "Intelligent" other drivers who seem to drive a race where your car doesn't exist, - if they are still alive their aero will be randomly removed in corner (one corner the car performs well and in the next it has become a shopping trolley) - if they managed the corner they will find out that their dampers and suspension has been removed and they get air on the straight and in fast corners at 300 Km/h - if they can manage this, as they should because they are the best drivers in the world, suddenly there are explosives the kerbs, and if they touch them they get catapulted meters into the air. - assuming they have survived all of that and managed to finish the race ahead of the opponent CONGRATULATIONS!!!, right? ... only to find out IT DIDN'T count (for weeks races and challenges I have completed have been ignored on the challenges board) I'm sorry Codemaster (@ChrisGrovesMCM) if you were a Formula 1 team the above would be a major failure and you would have to shut shop quickly. Why do you put us through something which doesn't resemble the sport we love. When the game was originally released it seemed to be the upgraded continuation of the amazing 2016 version but it feels like the developer have become obsessed with introducing bumps and details and have lost sight of what makes the game enjoyable. I still believe it could be the best ever F1 game and I'm optimistic and hopeful that something will be done. Thank You

    Hi all & @ChrisGrovesMCM, has promised above I've had a bit more time to test the update 6.5.1 and here is the summary: Issue fixed / improved: - bumpiness of the tracks - IMPROVED still get wheel spin at the top of Radillion ('top' of Au Rouge) also I believe the bumpiness should get less when racing in easy or medium mode - traction and stability - IMPROVED - still needs reviewing. Can you please consider that our accelerator pedal is only 100% on or 100% off. There is still no more downforce at Abu Dhabi or Monaco or Spa. - icy kerbs and white lines & 'catapult kerbs' - MOSTLY FIXED - there are a few left (ie. Singapore turn 20 is a catapult kerb) issues ignored: - my wheels stop rotating during races - IGNORED - the game is very jumpy - IGNORED - freezes for a second and when it continous it restarts down the road, you have to guess when to turn or brake etc. - the research box descriptions - IGNORED - research and the credit count to finish early) are to small for the greyed out box underneath - ghost car - no option to switch off the GHOST car - IGNORED - if you actually watch F1 you know how critical it is for the driver to get send out on a clear track with NO distraction to get the best qualifying lap - device overheating and game crashing - IGNORED - even starting from scratch my iPad Pro overheats during a 5 lap single race and starts 'stuttering' 3 laps in Issues worsened or newly introduced: - unfair penalties - WORSENED - being penalised for other people crashing into you etc. - grid start races - WORSENED - car performance reduced to 80% max compared to single races, over aggressive AI (they are trying to spin me by crashing into the back), opponent is invincible. Wrestling with AI until they point backwards but opponent is absolutely unaffected. In contrast I can’t have the slightest contact with another car without violently spinning out of control and if I manage to catch the car AI cars are just crashing into me at full speed. - opponent jumping all over the place - WORSENED - I've been catapulted high up in the air many times by an opponent disappearing and suddenly reappearing underneath me or an AI car & grid start I get a perfect start and seem to gain on the opponent, split second after the opponent is 2 seconds ahead as if he started on a rolling start, not needing to overtake cars, just driving through them as if driving a different race. - unrealistic and over aggressive AI - WORSENED - not using brakes and just crashing into you, slowing down in the acceleration zone of corners etc. & they now block you by driving two or three side by side at 'walking speed' ie. Spa at Blanchimond at 210km/h which normal racing speed is close to 300km/h or Monaco - opponents, AI and me seem to drive different races - NEW - this is the only conclusion I come to as it seems the races of the opponent, the AI and myself are disconnected ... that explains the random crashes and the jumping etc. - car set up - WORSENED - how can it be that choosing the set up with the 'best' braking makes the braking in the race worse? (that's just an example it also applies to all other set up aspects) - Snappy steering - NEW - car doesn’t turn in to the corner in duels as it does in single races ... and when corrected it suddenly snaps to turns even more - no DRS behind AI cars - NEW - I should get DRS when within 1 second of any other car, opponent or AI car, and this used to be the case but now I only seem to get DRS off the opponent. obviously this is purely my observation (played on iPad Pro without assists, drivers view, hard difficulty) as before I'm sure my fellow racers might want to add some other thing. @ChrisGrovesMCM I'm happy to help you test your beta versions. happy racing

    Thanks Chris for the update. Could I ask for an urgent fix for all of us who are racing in cockpit mode. Please give us the choice of having a ghost car or not ... I prefer to race agains and invisible opponent just like the real F1 but I'm constantly impeded by driving inside the opponent. thanks

    No grip after update

    Actually my setup with less handling, more lightweight and more power is much more playable, balanced and controllable than the setup that looks much more balanced (50% more handling, 35% more aero, double the braking, 35% less power, 25% less lightweight ... overall 5% more R&D points) seems very odd. Not sure the parts are actually doing what they say they do.

    Hi CHRIS, it's a week now since the update was released and I'm what you've taken away from the feedback so far and WHAT IS THE TEAM WORKING ON to make the game enjoyable by F1 lovers. So far the game has gone from a good F1 game with gigantic potential to the opening race of Ready Player One (you can watch it online) I'm excited to hear your learnings. Thanks

    I've actually performed this stunt a few times ... once I actually ended up in the habour in Monaco (opponent kept disappearing and suddenly reappeared beneath me and catapulted me high up in the air) ... another time I was looking vertically down onto the Singapore track (just by clipping the kerb though)

    Update 1.12.6 - issues (as posted before this one was create) By akajk88, Friday at 08:33 in Technical Assistance I'm struggling to believe that these updates are actually tested before being released. From the start I found graphic issues (sooooo obvious) and have major issues with racing. Here are a few examples: Graphics: - my wheels stop rotating during races - the game is very jumpy (freezes for a second and when it continous it restarts down the road) you have to guess when to turn or brake etc. - bumpy tracks ... I appreciate that some tracks are bumpy but in real life your vision is different and gets balanced because the focus is on a point in the distance which you can’t achieve with a flickering screen ... this updates feels like driving with binoculars and makes me dizzy and my eyes hurt and gives nausea ... - the research box descriptions (research and the credit count to finish early) are to small for the greyed out box underneath Racing: - car feel like racing on rubber ball ... the car gets air and wheel spin on the straight at 300ish km/h when going over a bump - all my downforce I used to have has disappeared so the car looses traction. I can't drive corners in the same way I used to without spinning. - kerbs and the white lines along the track are now made of ice. touch them with a single wheel and the car spins off violently. this is the first impression of a game which I still believe could & should be the best F1 game ever. I can't see any improvements with this update unfortunately. All the issues with unfair penalties (being penalised for other people crashing into you etc.), opponent jumping all over the place (I've been catapulted high up in the air many times by an opponent disappearing and suddenly reappearing underneath me or an AI car) , unrealistic AI (not using brakes and just crashing into you, slowing down in the acceleration zone of corners etc.), no option to switch off the GHOST car (if you actually watch F1 you know how critical it is for the driver to get send out on a clear track with NO distraction to get the best qualifying lap) are still unchanged.     June 6 patch notes

    Dear Chris ... I have to disagree with the term 'improvement'. My experience since (being forced to) downloading the latest patch is the following: - AI cars are even more aggressive (they keep crashing into me and keep spinning me around in corners) - PLEASE MAKE THEM USE THEIR BRAKES - "Reduction is bumpiness at certain bumpy areas of circuits" - I feel the opposite. my car is bouncing all over the tracks. much more than before. - car stability ... whilst opponents and Ai cars wrestle (and I mean wrestle ie. driving sideways interlocked without loosing any speed or going off track) the slightest touch from me with an opponent sends me into a violent spin. - loss of car performance - I can't drive the same way as before because my car spins out of corners I used to be able to take at the same speed before and the brakes performance is random. - kerbs are now made of grease or catapults - even just touching a kerb will either send you spinning or flying (literally !) - opponents and Ai cars can run off track without slowing down while I get slowed down even though I'm still on track with half the car. there are a couple more things that need addressing: - ghost cars in quail modes - PLEASE GIVE ME THE CHANCE TO SWITCH THEM OFF. (if you have watched the quali of the Canadian GP you will have seen Max complaining about being put off by traffic which was miles ahead. Imagine how off-putting it is if you are actually driving inside another car.) - there should be an option to switch off all aids including the racing line. CAN YOU PLEASE CONCENTRATE ON THE RACE EXPERIENCE AND NOT KEEP INTRODUCING STRANGE THINGS WHILE THE MAIN GAME IS STILL FLAWED.
  15. just like to add a few things (not sure this just happens to me but): 1. unfair starts ... it might just be me but 90% of the sprint & quali races I start on the back foot and the head start of the opponent just increases until the first corner. at least previously I still won the duel if I finished within the 2. ghost cars in quali races ... because of the head start most of the first corner breaking I have to do blind because I'm INSIDE the other car (and those cars are not even fully transparent anymore instead they are solid in pieces such as the rear wings). No real F1 quali will have a car closely in front of them ... so why shall we? Just add a setting to switch the ghost OFF. 3. grid races power and performance ... the opponents and the Ai cars are still much faster similar to a real F1 car losing their hybrid power. 4. challenges counting ... completed challenges (ie. perform a perfect start) are frequently NOT counted. 5. opponent matching ... needs looking at so we are not paired in duels with people in totally levels. 6. in app help ... it's useless ... I only get generic answers and nothing gets addressed.

    May 13 Status Update

    Hi Chris, it seems your focus is on the GP events whilst the general gameplay has a lot of other issues to address ... ie. loss of performance during duels etc. I have a long list of what I believe needs addressing to make this game what it should be. one suggestion on the penalty system ... introduce damages as it was in the 2016 game and you can't opt out during duels only in single player mode so everyone can practice not to crash ... so crashing into someone has a high risk of breaking your car.
  18. Hi Chris, I think in this case it is the game ... the issue with the frame rate has only started since the update (5) but it also seems to be local ... I had a number of duels where I stuck in slow-motion while my opponent went off to gain an 11 second advantage before I even crossed the line. Also since the update the game is jumping during the duels.
  19. I admire your optimism Colinobe ... I agree this could be the best racing game ever but I don't think the Codemaster really gives a damn about our experience and feedback. This game is following the MVP route (Minimum Viable Product). What's the minimum we can get away with and it's not about user experience. Hence the poor customer service. I've worked hard to get to 9999 and have been giving feedback and reported the issues during this time ... unfortunately the answers I got were generic that let me assume that the real Codies (the once who want to be proud of producing the best game ever) don't see any the feedback. The next step by Codemaster was to just delete my comments and tell me to stop spamming them (it's their bigs in the game I was reporting) and now I've just been locked out of my profile and my app stopped . I agree with you all that the 2016 was miles better.

    Game stuck on loading screen

    There seems to be another reason for being unable to load the game ... and that would be that CODEMASTER locked you out. I seem to have happen to me after trying to help to improve the game by contacting the in app help. I only got very generic answers and the issues I've raised only got worse over the updates. The peak was the latest update which almost makes the game unplayable for me. however me asking for help was ignored and classed as spam and were just deleted by CM. Finally as of today I can't open the game anymore ... I've deleted the app and reinstalled it but still can't load it using the previous user name BUT starting from scratch WORKS. I guess that is the reason why.
