Teammate became faster in Career Mode ???

not 100 no, but close to, ok then it maybe change soon :D how is the situation when all other AI cars are upgraded as well?

Teammate became faster in Career Mode ???

this I cannot confirm, in Qualy we are separated by 0,100 - 0,300 but then I did not had the perfect lap. Anyhow in the race we are pretty equal, 2 races he got the fastest lap and 1 race I had - so all in all everything looks pretty realistic to me.

Teammate became faster in Career Mode ???

I like that, I am also in my 4th season now, Leclerc my teammate, after 3 races He is leading by 4 points the championship. Last season Toro Rosso was "the team" they had the best car and were killing the rest. Isn`t that normal that the best car is the fastest?? In my season Ferrari is like Mercedes in 2017 - 2019, I do not understand your general issue here, for sure you are the fastest with the highest upgraded car oO ? Cannot wait for this season battle with Leclerc

    Monaco tips

if that is your "mid" AI value which you use normally, you need to decrease it in Monaco as the AI is a bit overpowered there, besides they never make mistakes -.- same for Baku and Singapore.
  5. sure thing, i will send it to you later today, in my first 2 seasons with Alfa I did not really look at it (did it all 90), but now in my third with Ferrari (just finished it) I adjusted it that in between me an Leclerc are just + - 0,200 sec - so Qualifying and races are quite exciting are mostly realistic in regards of my car performance. When you checkout that topic you find also other guys who adjusted AI per track as the AI is not balanced to all the tracks.
  6. I do 50 % - if you want I can share my AI settings with you per track, as 90 does not work for all tracks (e.g in Austria the AI is way too slow, in Suzuka too fast...)
  7. I also use 90 as a basic value and adjust it by nearly every race, on some tracks I go up to 95, on some I have to lower it up to 87, I always use my team mate as a reference and it works pretty well like this. But I adjust before Qualifying, I cannot share the thought that the AI is faster in race, I find more in Qualy.

    Mechanical failure

I guess that would be on of the biggest gaming comebacks, GP5 😉 But that was a failure which I "acknowledge" if the car lets you down you can do nothing and the race is over, hard to get but it is just an engine which can fail. better than an AI driver who you overlap and in the middle of a fast corner he hits the brakes big time to let you through and you crash into his rear because that would have been the worst position he let you through...(just happened to me in Austria, final corner 2 laps before end of race, I was leading)....there I use the flashback function then as no real driver would have done that....if the engine would have failed, ok so be it, happens in reality as well. Further I don`t get why AI has it and player not @BarryBL is there a statement why it is like this???

    Mechanical failure

seriously? ..... Geoff Crammonds GP2 had engine failures already 😛 well ok I just thought I am lucky, then this is a big minus point now for F1 2019

    AI damage setting

cool Barry thanks, also for the quick feedback! it is kind of annoying when I run simulated damage and the AI can drive like auto scooter - this makes me using too much of the replay function which I want to try to avoid, but I say to me, "hey kind of unfair from the AI as well" 😛 it is my first season in red 😉 two previous ones have been with Alfa

    AI damage setting

Hi community, yesterday that question came up again in my mind when I had a rainy race in Suzuka. After start of the race, turn 1, Perez crashed straight into the inside barrier, after that he was going backwards back on track, not waiting till everyone is through (because it was race start, so tight grid) no backwards into his teammate. (in this case Lukas Weber) Perez only damage he faced was a minor front wing damage, the little thing on the outside of the frontwing, when Weber crashed in him, nothing, Weber no damage (his frontwing should have been wasted) neither Perez (his right wheel in the rear would have been gone – normally)….to conclude this – he should have received a time penalty for dangerous driving returning on the track in dangerous conditions. So this 1 scene made me think – when I touch someone, it always brakes something, even with a little touch, does the AI use has a “lighter” damage option?? What do you guys use? Further, do the AI get time penalties??? I realized this earlier in other races as well but never asked here, yesterday it was the topping of the cake for me and now I need to ask. AI level 93% I think I use. Thanks for feedback and your settings Cheers

    AI damage setting

@BarryBL there we go,yesterday i was reminded to take a video. When you look at it,the HAAS hit the other guy 2 times with the right frontwing,at least the outer part should have been gone as it happens when i would be that guy, every single touch is punished with a lost part. I am the good looking no.24 in the back. :) so which damage "setting" has the AI? 20200318_225624.mp4

The Worst Formula 1 game you played

I sign that! just total cockpit view is the real deal, you can sit on the Halo when you watch the replay. The worst for me: Tough to say, I am also in this line since GP2....hmm I would go with Official Formula One Racing from Eidos - this game was a mess. The most time I spent in was GP3 I would say, with all the mods and stuff, loading 100mb livery updates with the ISDN over night 😄 and happy next day that you can use the actual season liveries. I like F1 2019 by the way!

    AI simulated times

Hi all, I am in my third season now, just moved to Ferrari which have the worst car in the grid according F&E table, that is why I recognized the following as I nearly never make it to Q3 Toro Rosso are the new super heroes in my season, they are 1 sec faster than the rest nearly in Q1 & Q2 - as I never reached Q3 so far it gets simulated. Even in practice they are faster with Mediums or Hards than everyone else on Soft So when I see the final grid, suddenly the Toro Rosso are in place 8 - 10 with over 1 sec slower than before, everyone is nearly 1 sec slower than before. Are the simulated times treated differently ? I would get a Pole Position every time when they would drive those times which are simulated. In the race then, even when Toro Rosso starts at 8, normally they also win the race, so in the race the actual F&E is active again. So something must be wrong with simulated AI times right? Was this a topic already?

Safety Car appears in almost every race

Hi, PS4 v1.22 / 50% / Career Mode / third season actually I had this situation before some patch was released, but I cannot remember which version it was, there it also appeared nearly every race. Right now I just face a Virtual SC in nearly every second race. The real SC just came out once in the last 10 races I would say if not even more.

    AI simulated times

that makes absolutely sense then how you describe it, haha what a silly bug that is. I have the same with Mercedes, normally Vettel (he is with Mercedes in my season) gets always the pole, but don`t even finish on the podium.

    Coronavirus and F1 2020 - Thread

just release it like you have planned it - as said it is only a game - race calender as it was planned, car performance until you have some data and then update the rest. With the progression system the car performance is anyway mixed after 2 seasons, Toro Rosso is so far the best team in my season, Mercedes is mid field and Ferrari LAST
  18. svensenk86

    AI damage setting

if I think of it when it happens to make a video afterwards I can do, but normally it would be enough if you just play the game as it happens all the time Anyhow, thanks for feedback

    AI damage setting

Hi Barry, just start the game and play - the damage model is really "bad" I must say. You cannot tell me no one at CM thinks "well besides all, our damage model is pretty realistic, no need to improve there guys..." In Grand Prix 2 more damages could occur. Ok in reality when Vettel crashed into Verstappen in Silverstone, Verstappen also could kept driving which was really a surprise. The only damage which happens in F1 2019 is, front wing & once I had a flat tire because I was driving over a lost part from another car. AI bumps into each others, especially when they try to overtake in corners, they hit the other car in the middle, so at least one suspension must be broken after that and the other car at least should face a dent on the outside. I would be surprised if that issue never was addressed before as it was the same issue the versions before....

    AI damage setting

Hi Barry, as the race already happened, no video footage available - need to do this next time when it is happening. But I cannot be the only one with this issue. AI never has the same damage realism like me when I do the damage setting "simulation" or however it is called.

    AI damage setting

can someone from the Forum owners answer this please? yesterday, rainy race in Austin - some RacingPoint dude crashed in my back, gave me a push, in reality, or even on my "realistic damage" settings, my frontwing would have been gone, sure not this guy (I think it was Perez) if the AI drives without realistic damage, in this case then the option before, I will switch it as well to this

I think the race calender will be as it was originally scheduled

    Wet Weather Performance In Career

ah good to know, I wasn`t aware of this - damn I could have had a better race/result then!

    Wet Weather Performance In Career

I just had a whole complete rain session in Singapore - heavy rain. I do 50% race length - so I was planning 1 stop (as usual) during the race I realized that not everyone is doing a pit stop, just a couple of drivers did. So the AI went through with the original tyre. Should it be like this?? Is it ok that the AI do not pit during a rain race? I do not know what the rules say to be honest.
  25. svensenk86

    Wet Weather Performance In Career

it is really rare that the AI makes mistakes in dry races either, at least run to the gras once or something like that would be cool to see. Or it happens and I just don`t see it because it happens somewhere else in the grid did codemasters give a statement to this topic anywhere else already?
