Public lobbies coming January 13 - 'Session Search' walkthrough
CordedQuill42 replied to ChrisGrovesMCM's topic in General Discussion
Today we shout for joy, our thoughts are being heard! -
Sorry for the inconvenience, I couldn't log in.
Back to normal now, hope you all have a nice day.
-
I only qualify in Project Cars 1 and 2. Otherwise, I fight through the pack from behind.
-
So you want every single game to be a visual masterpiece, otherwise it sucks? If we are divided in our complaints, we will fail to nail the point into the developers.
-
@Omiley Although we cannot make them join us, there is one thing that we can still do. And that is keep going forward and not giving in to them saying rude stuff to us. We need to keep pushing for the changes we requested to eventually get into this game.
-
No confirmation on the date. And I still don't think Season 2 will release on the final weeks. Chris will likely release the news this or on the next week.
-
Actually @FlashStealth. You have missed the Steam Sale. It increased the player OVERALL player count greatly. The more population will improve sales. The population is higher than Grid Autosport on Steam Charts.
-
@ChrisGrovesMCM Liked the comments, so he is listening.
-
Well that will be done OVER TIME with seasons. Only one track was added because Codemasters was testing the waters. We need to focus our efforts ELSEWHERE. My opinion of the game has still NOT changed. Codemasters, Good luck with your next game, and I hope they will make another great game.
-
The original poster is trying to bring this game back up to a great state. So why are you guys hounding the OP, attacking him for bringing up good points? Seems contradictory, giving the fact that @Omiley brought up some good points. So I am going to add two more. Oh, and the sale upped the count to 312 players. More sponsor options. Even if they are restricted to specific livery types, like NO FEAR for Motorsport and Yokohama for Tuner. Adding extra options to your color choices, like metallic, matte, Pearlescent, and Iridescent. would bring more variety.
-
There is a minor thing about the tracks, I think it should be just an option to toggle standard / reverse (as removing it all together would be a bit extreme). I also don't think custom liveries would not do much, as it could only force Codemasters to censor some of the community art (like Adult content and Curse words). Maybe add options for color (Metallic, Matte, Pearlescent, and Iridescent,) would help fill the gap a little bit. I do agree with balancing the class and increasing the tracks per season. There is more stuff I would add too, Like Endurance to consoles and the ability to save my custom championships. Don't take this the wrong way though. I am not saying your argument is invalid. I am telling you that two of your points might not work.

Perfection! This should be a road map Codemasters need to follow to bring this game back.

Lets try again. @ChrisGrovesMCM will be tagged here to address this, as this may have been a bug. -
They won't stop until I get banned from this forum or worse.
This may be my final stand until I can get this resolved with Chris and PJ. And this WILL be to the end.

For the guys that argue custom lobbies grant more freedom. It is more like you guys will just run 2, 3, maybe 4 (If luck is a main factor) tracks for your so called "Custom Lobbies" (Massive Air quotes). Not saying that is going to happen, but this might be reason this guy is against that feature. The main reason stuff are forced is because of the game wanting you to try new things. I can get tired of racing Sport GT's on Dubai on Forza 7, but thankfully the game has GREAT tracks like COTA, Yas Marina, Bernese Alps, Rio, Prague, La Sarthe (WITHOUT the chicanes for more fun), and other classes such as Forza Touring Cars, Hypercars, Supercar Renaissance, Formula 90's (RIP Aryton Senna), NASCAR (Albeit with only 3 main cars), you get what I am saying. Anything in Emerald and Bolded are tracks exclusive to the Forza Motorsport Series. @SlimCharles, I applaud you for bringing TRUE facts about the custom lobbies. Ignore what these guys are saying to you, your argument still stands as a FACT. Custom lobbies will just make the player base want to race the same old track again and again. Keep doing so with the fact in mind I will be behind you 100% of the time. I might not look like such, but TRUST me, it is happening. @senna94f1, Codemasters is a business (Like Activision and Electronic Arts), They have shareholders to attend to and families to feed. What is generated in the sales becomes their PAYCHECK. Without it, they lose their ability to care for their families. It is not a scenario in which they buy luxury stuff and spoil their kids. It is more of a scenario in which they NEED the money to provide food, water and pay the bill for the roof over their head. -
Can you find any proof that they said Season 1 was free? Only Paris and Renault Clio S1600 was free as far as I could tell. Will still be getting the game for Christmas. I also see you are upset with F1 2019, something about it becoming too much for the pad. Direct Message me about it so we can discuss it. I might not get to you right away. @senna94f1

That will not work. You cannot sue a person for something that you don't like on a game. The PEGI rating is 3+, which is the same as E for everyone in ESRB. You would lose your case ten out of ten times. Also, good luck finding a lawyer who will not turn down your case. Codemasters will not be liable for false promises. They aren't just appealing to children. Operation Flashpoint and Overlord are games with a higher rating than E for everyone on ESRB and 3+ on PEGI. What does Christmas Spirit have to do with ANYTHING of the game being bad? You do realize their staff have Christmas Break off? They have a family to be with. They work this job to support them. GRID is a racing game, not a homeless helping game. Your argument of having Christmas Spirit to be a good company is therefore invalid.

The Grid 2019 Trial! It contains 3 racing scenarios, which are from the intro. I played it, and for me it is a very great game. Will be looking forward to getting it for Christmas.
-
@ChrisGrovesMCM. Sorry to mention you again, but what are the contents of the grid 2019 trial?
-
That is mostly on Slightly Mad Studios end, not Codemasters.
-
Played it while it was installing. Raced the following scenarios: Will play more footage when game is done installing. Corvette C7R on Shanghai. Standing start on the grid at night. Won that race. San Marino on the Brickyard Oval. Had a massive crash that I narrowly avoided. Used some flashbacks here. Golf TCR on Brands Hatch GP. Went off track in turn one and had to defend my position. Also my Teammate Nick Whittle won.

I have acquired the Free Trial for Grid 2019 on Xbox One. I will take a look at it, see how it does.
