Controller or not, still impressive. -

Great video! I was surprised to see how soft you made the roll bars and will give that a try. My ride height was too high here for the longest time until I figured it really wasn't that bumpy. Greece is certainly unforgiving! -

On most cars, the stock camber and toe seems to work well. For camber, if there are many long sweeping turns, you want higher camber. If the track isn't set up that way, less camber. Less camber will give you better grip for acceleration and stopping, but it will hurt your turn stability. RWD cars can benefit from a bit of inwards toe. The stock setup with clue you as to which ones. A couple FWD cars benefit from outward toe on the front to help turn-in. -

JorritVD, that's really good. I just can't get the hang of the supercar RX class. At all.lol. I've been able to set a top 5 here and there in other classes, but strictly mid field 50% in these. Assuming you're on a wheel? -

DiRT Rally 2.0 - In-Game Server Connectivity [CM Note: Check first post]

I thought it was my connection. Yeah, Racenet has been BRUTAL. Not sure what's up with Codemasters as F1 19 is a mess. Guess they're more concerned with Grid. -

Definitely. Wonder what kind of tune it is..a good tune or one of the BS max camber max toe deals. -
Excuse the bloom, but I did this quickly. Medium tires, 100% race fuel with no underfueling. Not the cleanest, but it will give an idea. This is with a leader board hotlap setup, no extended ride height or springs etc.
-
I just did it with a full tank and regular Hotlap setup. On Standard fuel and medium ers, short shift to 4th and you will be still giving more throttle..after the bump you will go into 5th WOT.
-
True. I have a problem not carrying enough speed into that section since the chicane is blind. At least in cockpit it is.
-
Valid points. I've been testing for my 100% coming up. Don't bump the ride height so high, but stiffen your springs. It is 53 laps. Is 100kg fuel for 53 laps or are you over fueling the car? If you take a lot of curb on the left before going right into that bump/straight, it will help get the car over. Still as you know if you race with that much fuel, sacrifices have to me made. Running 3 4 springs and similar height just won't do well. This game's tuning is very sub par as it is, as evidence by identical camber and toe on every Hotlap top time from Monaco to Monza.

It is Sunday and I am positive it won't go well! Lmao Just asked what stream it is and will send it.
-
I don't really like Suzuka, but that bump isn't bad once you get the line. Coming into it, keep all the way Right and hug the inside line/apex while keeping your eyes UP to the corner exit down the left side of the straight. Short shift from 3 to 4 there and you can open up the throttle while you unwind the wheel back down the straight. In other words, keep it right and you take the bump straight on. I was going straight left for a long time like another poster suggested. It was a mess until I realized I had to clean up my line.

Interesting track. I despise it for road racing, but love the RX layout! Keep hoping we can take R-GT cars to the RX tracks at some point! -
Disappointed at F1 2020's release date
DaleRossi replied to FOneFanatic's topic in General Discussion
Agreed totally. They've known for years when the season starts, it's not like this was suddenly sprung on them. But they need ample time to write scripts for the Butlers and Webers. That is really the only improvements F1 2020 needs. (Sarcasm) -
Is there any chance DIRT 2/3 handling will return in the future?
DaleRossi replied to lastbreath's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
The balance is pretty good and they could have gone very arcade with it. So I'm glad they have it how it is. If the handling is too difficult, turn all the assists on and practice. It's a rally game and the surfaces make driving difficult. That's the point. I'm very thankful they didn't dumb it way down like the F1 team did for that title. There are Tons of arcade racers out there. -
2 Weeks on this thread along and Nothing. Amazing.

Sad, but true. Ranked is an absolute ghost town. The game has some shortcomings for sure, but a couple very basic decisions kept it from being what it should be. No virtual mirrors (and no way to see them with about 80% of the FOV in cockpit on the major console release) shows they have a complete disregard for wheel users that want even a barebones immersive F1 experience. No chance in Hell I'll get next year's. This is the first one I purchased since 2014. The Dirt Rally group at least makes a friggin' Effort.

If that cam you posted has similar capabilities of GoPro, they are going to make a TON of $$$$$ That's really cool, definitely looking into that. I'm able to attach a GoPro to one of my motorcycle helmets just below the visor. It is the only one I have that is flat enough there to securely hold it there, though.

I have a ton of buttons and dials and switches on the Fanatec F2. They're all either unavailable to use or redundant on Xbox One. For all the L1 2 and 3 or R1 2 and 3 are either throttle, brake, shift etc. It's a common Xbox problem that CM has been aware of going back to last gen. That's why it is so inexcusable in this game, which heavily markets wheel compatibility in and outside of the game, to have such limitations of cockpit racing.
-
LOL True. Saw a video on YouTube about how to get a realistic view and it was TCam. It doesn't even require critical thinking, just common sense.
-
With a wheel, there are not enough available controls for look left and right on consoles.
-
Ah, I need to get through that. Still in the 2nd tier. I'm loving the RGT cars. As a rule of thumb, if you're struggling with RWD you can set accel diff to around 24 and the decel 1 click higher than that. Then preload anywhere from 15 to 30.

Got it yesterday! Love that car. Thanks, man.
