As Sloppy said, people have been asking for months and there hasn't been so much as a "No. **** you" from CM.

Yes x 1,000. Not having exterior cams linked with Assists is incredible for an open wheel game. By their own admission, people that use T cam do it because they can see better. By definition, that is an assist. The fact that those who want some semblance of sim racing are automatically placed at a disadvantage is ridiculous. In open lobbies, that's one thing. In Ranked and Championships, that's a joke. People have been asking for this since release. CM isn't going to do anything. But hey, we have new skins to purchase. So there's that.

DiRT Rally 2.0 - Version 1.8 Bug Reports
DaleRossi replied to PJTierney's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0 Support
Thanks for the update. That sucks, seems like a pretty fundamental thing to check would be actually driving in Greece before releasing.lol It's not a deal breaker, just makes it a little more difficult when learning an entirely new set of stages. If it is a manual shift car, it's not a problem for h shifter users. -

Is this available for console/XB1? If so, is it too late to sign up for the one starting next week? Thanks for putting all of this together. -
DiRT Rally 2.0 - In-Game Server Connectivity [CM Note: Check first post]

This. Same thing happened last month when none of the credits were working. It happened on a Friday going into the weekend and nobody came in to do anything until Monday. Really, really poor customer service. -
DiRT Rally 2.0 - In-Game Server Connectivity [CM Note: Check first post]

Masters of Code. Between this and the **** with F1, the people at Codemasters that actually Are competent should be embarrassed. -
Yep. MAYBE for 25% max, TT setups will work. If you're racing 100% with a full tank, TT setups will do nothing for you other than a good qualifying time. TT camber and toe may be the only things that dont need changing. You dont really need to add wing, but you do need to adjust the springs for all the Fuel and then everything else that goes with that. Brake bias 2 to 4 points forward with a full tank seems about right, also. If 54 is what you like for Qualifying/TT, then 58 or even 60 with a full tank and lower it as fuel burns off.

F1® 2019 - Compatible Wheels And Controllers
DaleRossi replied to Faya's topic in General Discussion
I have PCars 2 and Assetto also. This is an Xbox thing. Fanatec F1, CSW, it doesn't matter. Many buttons are redundant. RT and LT are break and gas, RB and LB are shifters. You could remap A and B to it, but it doesnt solve the issue of button redundancy. -
F1® 2019 - Compatible Wheels And Controllers

That was way too hard to read. My God. Sure, you can assign them if you don't want to be able to shift. This has been a fundamental shortcoming of wheels on Xbox One since its inception, but My comment is stupid?lol -
Clubsport 2.5 and clubsport 3 pedals, formula V2 wheel. It kicks ass. Just do it.lol
-
Yeah, I dont think they have to adhere to as many restrictions. Particularly the Porsche EVO. That thing obliterated every track record it saw.
-
Agreed with sim racing. Tracks are too far and expensive, so this is the next best alternative. One instructor, while showing us the line in a CTS-V, started drifting balls out. Turns out he was in Formula D. Didn't have much respect for that discipline until that little adventure.lol Have you done any other schools or have any others on your list? A prototype school would be really cool. Rally is on my short list, too. And now, apparently so is F1.LOL
-
Sounds like a blast! Yeah, things like that aren't cheap. I dont have kids, so rather than saving up for college, clothes etc for kids, I save up for tracks.lmao NASCAR was an eye opener. I went in thinking I would hit 190 no problem. Lmao Ended up the fastest of the day and that was just under 160. How they drive bumper to bumper and door to door is pretty incredible. F1 would be a whole new experience and after even 3 laps, I would bet your neck was pretty sore! The most terrifying track experience I had was riding on the back of Jason Pridmore's (Reg's son) GSXR 1000 for 2 laps. It's always interesting riding/driving with world class people. You think you're fast until you quickly realize that simply isnt the case.lol You're right on FFB. In general, a lot of people have it way too high. Regarding assists, I think let people drive how they want. However, it would be nice to have a no assists lobby.
-
That's awesome. Were they full powered cars? Did you get GoPro? Anything like that is worth the time and money! The only open wheel I have tracked was a day in Formula Mazda. No power anything though. The H shifter left my hand bloody and bruised for quite a while since I didnt elect to wear gloves the first two sessions. lol Got to do 18 laps in a NASCAR several years ago at Texas Motor Speedway. That was interesting. Couldn't see a damn thing out of those cars.

I'm not familiar with Thrustmaster and am using 2.5. At least there are quite a few FFB settings in the game. Would be nice if they including s clipping app for console players. Nobody else does that I know of, but it seems it wouldn't be that hard for Masters of Code.lol
-
Yeah, the only reason I did was because I knee AC did this. All the forces are there for sure and it just adds another option. With the on wheel settings at 100% as usually recommended, around 40% right now feels pretty good. You definitely feel a difference between the modern cars and the older ones with no power steering etc. Without doing it this way, it seems nearly impossible to have a good balance.
-
That's strange that it had clipping. It was worth a shot, I guess. FWIW I have my Clubsport at 100 on the wheel, and then 40 in the game FFB. For F2, I have it a bit lower. Understeer enhancement Off. The suggested default settings for my wheel in the game were very strong. AC's FFB isnt as strong, at least with my settings, but it is a lot cleaner. There isnt much on straights and the more Gs you pull, the much stronger it gets. Some of the esports people use extremely light settings, but that just doesnt feel right to me. However, I probably use a lot lighter than most. Regarding Thrustmaster, I've noticed a lot of people have their FFB on wheel less than 100. I dont know if that is a Thrustmaster thing, but that may make it tougher to get in game settings dialed in.
-
If anyone still hasn't found ones they like and/or is fighting clipping, you can turn the FFB to what you like (40 for me on Fanatec CSW 2.5) and everything else to 0. I stumbled across this after playing Assetto Corsa again and remembered they said if you have a relatively strong wheel, you don't need all the other FFB enhancements. It works well in F1 and you feel all the curbs, road etc, but everything feels more balanced. Keep your on wheel FFB at 100, which is usually recommended so you then just adjust in game.

[Dirt Rally 2.0] [Xbox One] Missing deluxe edition content
DaleRossi replied to danasp's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0 Support
Happened again. We get this great new message about cars and credit drops (of which I've yet to receive ANY of them), and then as a Deluxe owner it says you have to purchase the new cars. -
F1® 2019 - Compatible Wheels And Controllers
DaleRossi replied to Faya's topic in General Discussion
On Xbox they do not work. Xbox is absurdly limited with button mapping. No RT, RSB, LT, LSB, no dials, switches, or left stick. -
Anyone found good Fanatec settings? Clubsport rim and Formula V2 wheel, but any would be good. In afraid this is going to be like Dirt Rally 2.0 and take months to get FFB right.
-
Try turning the steering linearity to -10. That made a world of difference on my Fanatec CSW and it feels perfect now. I'll try to post the rest of my settings when I get on later, but the game feels incredible. As others have mentioned, being able to automatically having the correct shifting activated per car would be really good. Assetto Corsa does an excellent job of this. PCars does not.lol PCars has the worst clutch function I've ever seen. Overall, DR2 has great wheel support, but it was odd that it took having to put linearity into full negative to get it to feel right. But, at least there is the option for that. I'm on XB1 X

DiRT Rally 2.0: General Clubs Discussion
DaleRossi replied to PJTierney's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0 Clubs & Leagues
Audio is so good in this game, which makes these bugs that much more frustrating. On XBox at least, if and when audio cuts out, pause it and go completely to the Xbox Home screen. The go back to Dirt and you cam resume with full audio again. Just make sure you pause in a good spot! -
Get Good at DiRT Rally 2.0 - Community Rally School
DaleRossi replied to SkyRex's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
Left foot braking for all cars and driving line in R2 and FWD is crucial to not lose speed. Keeping momentum up with them is crucial. I don't have a handbrake on my setup and havent found a good way to set it up, so I rarely use it anyway. But you'll just have to test hairpins with it on hairpins with FWD. The Diff settings are really important. GTR Technical and SkyRex have excellent YouTube channels and setups, definitely check out their channels.
