I dont get the message what's the big issue with the licensing for the 2015 cars?
Well , of course they're given to noobs rally dev's Kyloton. But who cares ?
Why not licensing the 2014 season Polo WRC , Fiesta WRC and I20 WRC for Dirt Rally ??
Wouldn't make any remarkable difference gameplay wise .... and I doubt, the 2014 car's licenses are reserved or have been aquired by any other Dev, are they ??

One more post regarding the Peugeot 205.
This is me in the 205 GTI Grp N at No Limit's Rally school here in Austria some years ago. :D
was a very nice real life rallying experience; would be kinda interesting to somehow relive this experience in Dirt Rally ;)
(one should notice the weird opening angle of the driver door.....the poor 205's were "heavily in use" by the trainees ....)

Well, well, well... we see who go (stole?) some of the license from Codemasters. Toyota, Renault, Citroen and Mitsubishi have played nice with Milestone.
This is especially disappointing about Toyota
Truly hope there wasn't signed and Exclusive licence between Milestone and Toyota.
I hope the marketing dept wakes up and relaizes they*d jsut licecsed their brand to the first loser of the battle for the Rally Game Crown.
2015:
1. D.R
2. SLRE
3. WRC5

Sorry for low quality!
(This is a actual screenshot from DiRT Rally with a little filter  Guess the car and stage! lol)
I think I can see a yellow house on the top edge of this shot, yes, it definately is..
the car livery seems fictional though ;) -
pls... give us some kinda low res screenshot or something more to gossip about !
-
hehe detailed report about the fuel mishap.. ..so what ! such is life. Life would be boring without such moment's no ? :D
Lets move on with the DR gossip , how about teasing us with some finland research photos ? (did I just see a yellow house on the photo ? ) ;)

(IMPROVEMENT): authentic night pods
Ok, this one goes out to the 3d models car artists: the cars in DR are wonderfully modeled, but some of night pods are simply wrong. As for example on the replicated Impreza 555 Impreza, the light pods should be the typical 2 fingers layout on the hood , instead of 4 in a row:
Im not directly asking for re-modeling the existing 555 impreza , but pls get the night face right on the "most likely" upcoming 2001 impreza WRC:
-
seeing this picture, my opinion is somewhat split in half.
On one hand, Im happy about every further content coming to DR even if its RX content .
On the other hand I'm like: "Pls get Paul and his Dev crew into a van, take them about 70kms up north to Llloret de Mar and drive them along the beautiful and fast Costa Brava tyremac roads so they can recreate the legendary Rally Catalunya !"
It's obvious that a sim with FIA RX license will not drop on further RX content, but I truly hope the focus get's kept on the RALLY contenct.

Is it a coincidence that @Kickup was the first to 'like' that comment, or is there some other reason behind his actions...

Dont know if the licensing issue has been discussed more in detail about Toyota here, but if not pls @KickUp could you at least mention a few words about this, we had Toyota in many CMR Rally Titles and even in Dirt 3 still. So it's quite hard to understand, why a brand should suddenly be so reluctant to refuse licensing on this ultimate rally Sim. Would appreciate any more detail here.

AT LEAST 2 cars? :p Hoping for the 206, I love that car.
As the most likely appearing car types and makes seems to be pretty clear; why not focussing the gossip on the remainder of the "at least two cars"
keeping soo much fingers crossed for Peugeot 206 WRC as "number 3" and Mitsubishi Evo 6 as "number 4" additional cars ...any more 2000's class WRCs very much welcome of course...

tbtstt said:One more time, here is my 22B/Impreza WRC post...
Prodrive used a "S" number to designate the various generations of Impreza World Rally Car they built. The '97-'98 World Rally Car was the S4, the '99 World Rally Car was S5, the '00 World Rally Car was S6... you get the idea. (Prodrive also used a similar system for their Group N cars, except they are identified by an "N" prefix, not an "S"). The only exception to the rule is the 2007 Impreza WRC, which was identified as the S12b WRC (rather than S13 as you would expect). The Japanese are a superstitious bunch and so Prodrive avoided the number with their car designation!
The 22B was a road car released in 1998 and designed to emulate the look of the 1997/1998 Impreza World Rally Car. The two door, wide arch, Impreza World Rally Cars were on stages for well over a year before the 22B hit showrooms and its name is actually homage to the rally car: "22B" is hexdecimal for "555".
There is a lot of confusion between the 22B and the World Rally Cars of the era. This is compounded by the fact that there are a huge number of online articles about the 22B that contain incorrect information.
Officially there were 424 22B's (400 for the JDM, 24 for export). Of the 24 export cars, 16 were for the UK, 5 for Australia and 3 were prototypes. As with a lot of Subaru limited edition runs though, some of the numbers are a little hazy. It was originally stated that there were three #000 prototype cars (which were given to Colin McRae, Nicky Grist and David Lapworth), however a #000 was recently identified in the STI Mitaka showroom, which implies there were four #000 cars (I have subsequently read that David Lapworth actually got #400, but that's not been verified).
The 22B came with a 2.2L engine: WRC regulations of the era limited cars to 2.0L so, by its very nature, the 22B couldn't be a rally car. Incidentally, although they look similar, the S4 WRC and 22B have different panels. If you look at the two side-by-side you can see it, it's most noticeable around the front end and rear arches.
as KickUp seems to be quite the same way impressed as i am, I hope the "S4 WRC" makes it into the sim some day to remember us every day that its not a 22B  -

although it seems that the already teased Impreza WRC 01/02 will be next Subaru in the Sim (still very happy with that ! ) ... it would be a dream come true to have the earlier and much more famous 22B WRC sooner or later in DR , ... shown here the San Remo Winner car with the awesome 1998 season livery. Imo, one of the most good looking rally cars of all time and iirc the promoted "star car" of the first Colin Mc Rae Rally game.

bogani said:I would rather have the 98-99 Impreza WRC than the ugly frog but that is quite similar to the one we already have. I would love to have the Focus WRC but no rally game is complete without a Mitsubishi Lancer(unless licensing prevents it).
I'm really eager to try out these new cars as they are V2's. I also hope that the current 2010's will feel more alive with new physics.
A Mitsubishi LANCER is missing badly. No rally sim is a complete Rally Sim without a Lancer. period.
edit: in general I think the "old" Grp N class would be nice to have in the game..or at least the suceeded R4 class...
Pls give us an Evo 9 Grp N/R4 and/or Impreza Sti WRX R4

DiRT Rally feedback list
in DiRT Rally Series Suggestions
Posted
just completed the Survey - thanks for keeping up with the players ideas and demands for future Dirt titles that way.
As one of the selectable points in the survey was: "ability to create my own tracks" I think you pointed out one of the most crucial things for rally sims for being enjoyable for long time and attracting many different players (see all the location requests in the suggestion box)
As I said here many times before - once more: : pls YES, let the fanbase/modding community participate in creating own stages / real world rally locations.
Be it in future Dirt : titles or still in Dirt:Rally , I dont care, but pls let it happen in the future ;)
Thanks and keep up the great work !
