  1. I haven't been in there, i did help out during DR stuff, not sure how much i want to go back at the moment.  I agree it's very much like a closed off community, they know nothing, and happily spread misinformation.  On the other hand, it's not like there are sites/places out there (other than this thread) that accurately purvey the correct details.

And yes, suddenly, now my pre-order is in and staring me in the face in Steam, i'm getting more impatient :D

  2. Lots of problems with those key sites, have used some in the past but will.never pre order from them, only immediate availability.

The dirt team have done their work very well, to me, that deserves maximum return, so I pre ordered at full price through steam.

Water splashes arent deep enough for the bumper to hit the water or be splashed by the wheels (that are behind the bumper)

Like Ryu said, 2 second mark in online RX let's you change gears, been playing it a few times this week, more fun than I remember.

As per the earlier comparison, pCars puddles are bloody dangerous!  Hopefully the D4 puddles will have some interaction with the car and require reaction

Can you clear up how many cylinders the R2 Fiesta has @KickUp?

    They have some drag

Oh man, cylinders with drag, sounds like it needs some oil.....

    I think the radiator's damaged....

Just so you know, it's going to sound pretty stupid if they model the old version of the R2 Fiesta ;)

  5. Sooo, answer me this.... do we have visual confirmation of the Fiesta R2 (3 pot) in D4 then?

Yes. Check my post with all the rally cars in the DiRT 4 Confirmed Car thread. You'll see it's the face-lifted Fiesta, which, according to M-Sport is only available with a 1.0 liter turbo.

  6. @KickUp
With all this talk over FFB, have you done anything with the display of FFB settings in D4?  By that i mean, indicating which settings are driven by the physics engine, Vs the simulated options?

I don't like to play with the simulated options enabled as it ends up being messy and undefined, but without finding someones guide, we didn't know which was which in DR.

  7. Something like that, yeah.

I'd really like one, not used one before, but I spent ages in DR trying to get nice angles and flattering shots of Codies great models.

The Driveclub devs showing off photo mode actually got me interested in Driveclub, but didn't bother as older game, otherwise beautiful in photomode though.
