I'll be honest, @urgaffel is either drunk, or an insomniac, or, both? -
I just hit reply and the quote didn't match your post ;)
Sorry if i wasn't clear, just trying to get some DR in before D4 release :)
-
@urgaffel Thanks for the extra effort you put in :)
I'll enjoy the bonnet cam with it, no problem without it, i just hope the bumper cam effect is appropriate, we're not exactly wading through an "off road water crossing" :D
Gripped, sorted....

Would still like to know if there's any difference to CM if you buy from their own store instead of directly from Steam.
This is a good point actually, I know steam does take some for their service, but I'm fairly certain that CMs own store link thing actually just goes to Steam. -
Lots of problems with those key sites, have used some in the past but will.never pre order from them, only immediate availability.
The dirt team have done their work very well, to me, that deserves maximum return, so I pre ordered at full price through steam.
Water splashes arent deep enough for the bumper to hit the water or be splashed by the wheels (that are behind the bumper)
Like Ryu said, 2 second mark in online RX let's you change gears, been playing it a few times this week, more fun than I remember. -
That'd be cool to have updated, but if push came to shove, I'd take another car getting a genuine sample over a 'more correct' version of the Evo X -

I predict it to be a face-lift DMack car with a 4 banger soundtrack & a licensing issue :(
I will wager you otherwise ;) -

As per the earlier comparison, pCars puddles are bloody dangerous! Hopefully the D4 puddles will have some interaction with the car and require reaction
Can you clear up how many cylinders the R2 Fiesta has @KickUp?
They have some drag
Oh man, cylinders with drag, sounds like it needs some oil.....
I think the radiator's damaged....
Just so you know, it's going to sound pretty stupid if they model the old version of the R2 Fiesta ;) -

We will have the car pictured. -
Thankfully, we're good :) -

Sooo, answer me this.... do we have visual confirmation of the Fiesta R2 (3 pot) in D4 then?
Yes. Check my post with all the rally cars in the DiRT 4 Confirmed Car thread. You'll see it's the face-lifted Fiesta, which, according to M-Sport is only available with a 1.0 liter turbo.
1.6 liter body style

In which case; R2T confirmed, correct sound confirmed, ass ton of ALS confirmed ;)

Erm, i'm not sure we get 3 pot fiestas? do we? Even if spec'd we did, i don't know if we have the recording for it :(
The vídeo showed the facelifted Fiesta which is the R2T, but we may have the old 1.6 engine in the Facelifted Car

@KickUp
With all this talk over FFB, have you done anything with the display of FFB settings in D4? By that i mean, indicating which settings are driven by the physics engine, Vs the simulated options?
I don't like to play with the simulated options enabled as it ends up being messy and undefined, but without finding someones guide, we didn't know which was which in DR. -
I liked the sideways tyre deformation, though the generated engine sounds grate on me and stand out like a sore thumb :( -
Oooh, 900 pages :)
Body is one copy of D4 too short. -
Don't forget the Skoda Fabia :)
My R5 is too short. -
Something like that, yeah.
I'd really like one, not used one before, but I spent ages in DR trying to get nice angles and flattering shots of Codies great models.
The Driveclub devs showing off photo mode actually got me interested in Driveclub, but didn't bother as older game, otherwise beautiful in photomode though. -
Usually allows complete freehand positioning of the camera, angle, sometimes lighting and or weather effects.
I think they can be set to use higher quality models and or graphics as well. -
Additionally, a little more detail on Your Stage surfaces.
They can transition multiple variations on surface types, just not complete type changes, like gravel > tarmac etc. -
Possible gossip.....
Paul was asked if the Fabia R5 was in D4, he said, not at launch.
I asked if that was one of the 4 we have had confirmed (of total R5s in game) and he said it was not.... -
Yeah, their description apologieses for the muisic too, they didn't have a choice due to the event music being played.
I'm still confused (as another video poster was) exactly how to setup a rally event, it's the only unclear portion of the menu system in my opinion. -
Yeah, i know, but i think my point is made, dear Lord, i *hope* it is! I honestly think he believes the car goes under water, not just the wheels.

And yes, suddenly, now my pre-order is in and staring me in the face in Steam, i'm getting more impatient :D
