I didn’t like them, so I don’t mind them not making it to the 2020 game. I actually skipped F2 in the career mode, just to not have them in it. I also stopped driver transfers, as soon as the added that option. To be fair Championship mode was where I spent most of my time.

I bet there are some office supplies flying around the Codemasters office as we speak 😄 Poor guys. I wonder if there will be anymore last minute changes this week.

Is the Schumacher content just the cars or are there special events like with the Senna vs Prost edition?

It will be interesting to see if they’ll release an update for the new consoles at the end of the year. Perhaps graphical enhancements or compatibility with the ps5 controller.

Ai behaviour, the aformentioned “bot train”. The ai should use different strategies, make mistakes, crash, etc. Instead of that one mandatory dnf every single race. Mix it up a little, @Nick.RufinoI would also recommend racing in a league. I’m in a league with some people I know offline. You’ll enjoy the game much more without the aggravation. I gave up on playing with randoms a long time ago.

It’s going to be very interesting to see if and how this is going to happen. If it’s going to happen, I would like to see SMS develop it, since they’re already part of CM now. Perhaps start with F1 cars and tracks (or perhaps a full F1 season expansion pack) in PCars 3. I’d go for that.

@BarryBL Looks nice! Have there been any changes to the cockpit view? It somehow looks different to me, in a good way. Maybe just the camera settings?

I’ve been playing MotoGP 20 the last few days, and I wish Codemaster would “steal” some of their ideas (and vice versa). To name few: Career progression: you’ll start your career with a Moto3 team, work your way up to moto2 and try to get a contract with a MotoGP team by winning races. So one full play trough consists of a minimum of 3 seasons and you’ll have to earn your place with the big teams. (If you want, you also jump straight to the main thing) AI: They make mistakes, slip and fall. Sometimes they’ll make a stupid decision and get in trouble. This makes for unpredictable races, while still being fair. Classic content: historic tracks, bikes and riders! Also helmet cam and no microtransaction!

I’ve actually seen that video, it’s called “Monaco Grand Prix 1962 - high quality footage - flying clipper”. It’s such a great clip. This makes me want to revisit Project Cars too, thnx mate 😄

I don’t ride motorcycles myself, so I wouldn’t know if it comes close to the real thing. Also, I haven’t played the first one, so I can’t tell you if it’s been improved or anything. But I’m having fun with it. Most reviews give about a 7, so it’s good, but don’t expect it to set the world on fire. I’m playing it with a controller. Yes! For me it’s the vintage Lotus on the historic Monza or Hockenheim circuit.

Cool topic! I’ve played a lot of different racing games recently, including all CM titles. These are my 5 picks: Project Cars 2, probably my most played racing game of this generation. And the oldest game on my list WRC 8, I found it to be the better rally game last year (for the first time). I hope they continue this with WRC 9. MotoGP 19, if you like MotoGP, this is actually pretty good. Looking forward to MotoGP 20. TT Isle of man 2, released just last month. A very fun an definitely challenging racing game. And F1 2019, I know there are a lot of complaints about this title. It’s not perfect, but it’s still a pretty good racing game and it’s just a lot of fun, especially in a league with friends. Hopefully they’ll do a good job on F1 2020 (and don’t go crazy with the mtx, but that’s a whole different conversation)

Never understood that either. As an F1 fan I like the realism of seeing the actual cars, teams and drivers on track. Yes, please!

I get it, it’s the same for me. The whole multiplayer car-antics, left me with a bad taste in my mouth. For me, this kills the game more than anything else. Hopefully I’m wrong, we’ll see.

I get what you’re saying, but also, it’s a €60 - €70 game (on release day). Personally I wouldn’t want to play a career mode littered with microtransactions, when I’ve already paid full price for the game (I wouldn’t mind dlc-packs). Anyway, it’s still too early to tell, we’ll just have to wait and see. I’ll just wait for the reviews this year.

I’ve bought almost all previous F1 games at release. And I’ll most likely buy 2020 too. Was 2019 perfect? No, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. the only thing that kan kill this game for me, is if they go overboard with the microtransactions. Frequently updated, obtrusive, all-the-time-in-your-face microtransactions. I hope I’m wrong, but all those “My Team” liveries, make me fear a mtx-fest. We’ll just have to see...

I agree, they do look pretty bad. But I’m afraid the whole 11th team, (as fun as it may seem,) is just a way to sneak in mtx in the career mode.

Forgive me if this has been answered before, but I’ve been away from this forum for a while. My friends leaderboards aren’t updating (ps4). At least 4 friends that I know of, have posted lap times on various tracks, but their lap times aren’t visible to me. The game simply says: no times posted yet. Same goes for them, my lap times aren’t visible to them either. Does anybody know what’s happening, or how to fix this? Thanks! Unrelated, has there been any news about using F2 and classic cars in leagues?
