  1. Sorry I have to disagree with you on this. I have played since day one. There has only been one patch for FFB. You are correct that this added surface effect. This IMHO has not ruined the existing FFB and can be turned down with a slider. Since launch many people have said their bit about FFB. The general consensus was too little FFB too often, lack of surface feeling which meant no difference to FFB between driving on gravel or tarmac and no feeling of when the tyres begin to loose grip. For now we do get a bit of FFB when the tyres regain grip under lateral load, but nothing when we loose grip. We can only work with the rotation of the car. Part of this missing FFB would also increase wheel resistance, when turning hard into a corner, a sudden reduction in this force, would indicate loss of grip. I admit these signals are over blown in driving sims, but not as unrealistic as some people claim, as I do get tyre slip feeling in a real car. When people buy a FFB wheel they hope to get a lot of feedback to assist with immersion and improving how they interact with the car under certain conditions.

He is where PJ is monitoring and passing on info to the developers
  3. This is a bug thread and moaning should be kept to a minimum. If you want to see change, dont try to bash CM, just state what improvements you would like to see/feel in the FFB and leave it there. Your moaning will only help to loose the interest of the developers, in even considering giving us another update. So try to keep it a little more positive please.
  4. Christina promised that update 1.4 was only the beginning of the improvements to the FFB. Surely for that reason alone, there should be more updates, or people will lose faith in what CM says it will fix in future, which will only hurt future sales of any CM releases.
  5. Fingers crossed the developers are feeling generous about our requests then. Thanks for your help on this issue PJ.
  6. We were promised that there would be futher updates/improvements to the FFB and that's what people here are asking for. The fact we were promised further updates should make this a priority, or it will only cause further damage Codemasters reputation, as a company that does not care about its customers. I do realise that wheel users are in a minority, but we are the life blood of these type of games. We are not casual players and want something better than an arcade game. IMHO the FFB is not terrible and people that think is should be completely redone, are not being realistic. The main thing that is missing now is tyre slip effect. This would help us to feel when we are are on the edge of the available grip. So common Codemasters remember your promise to us wheel users and give us another FFB update.
  7. Hi PJ thanks for listening and good luck with getting these issues sorted so that more wheel users will have less to complain about. My 3 biggest issue I have listed below. I think a lot of people will agree on the two biggest issues with a lot of differing views on the 3rd. Not getting enough feedback from the tyres, Tyre Slip in particular. Lack of vertical suspension feedback, most obvious with On some locations (mainly tarmac) the road surface feels too smooth, resulting in less feedback through the wheel

Can you add tire slip FFB please
  10. Based on the many threads I have been reading, the consensus is, we want tire slip effect. We want to feel better when we are on the edge of the available grip. Other games have this effect and many people like it. Even DR1 had this effect. If you put it on a slider then people who don't like it can just turn it down or off. Many people have asked for this since day one so pleas can you add it soooon. 🙂

    DiRTy Gossip

Open letter to Codemasters. It is bad PR and bad business practice to not effectively communicate with your customers. If we take the time to give you guys feed back, we deserve to get a response, even if its just a link to a previous response that could be used for other peoples posts. Codemasters has a poor reputation, for releasing buggy games, that are not properly supported after release. If Codemasters wants their business to grow, they should be looking to learn from the mistakes, begin to engage more with their customers and give us news about what updates/bug fixes are currently being worked on, with a rough release schedule. Failure to do this either makes you look like amateurs, or worse, that you guys just don't care what we think of your game support. Two months ago Christina promised that the FFB updates, would be on going and the previous FFB update would not be the last. Since then no updates have been release for FFB, no community posts from Codemaster's officials, to even state that you still care about this issue. I do realize that us wheel users are in a minority, but we are the heart and soul of games like this. Wheel users helped to make DR1, the fantastic game that it is today. We are the voices in the forums, alerting you guys to bugs, that are helping you guys to make this game better too. Die hard fans of your games help to sell this game, to other more casual players. So Codies please give us some news, please interact better with you player base and provide us with more news about future updates. Having said that I am loving this game despite its issues. If you iron out some more of the wrinkles and hurry up with seasons 3 and 4, I think it will really help to improve your reputation in the gaming community, which surely is long term good business sense.
