    It's been on our to-do list for months but is a notoriously tricky bug to reproduce (and thus fix).

    I had it once on Xbox, but going back to Main Menu and restarting the Stage cleared it up.

    Try Irish:

    I have no idea why but to me that co-driver sounds like some sort of Irish mashup of Petter Solberg and Sebastian Vettel

  2. This should clarify as to which year the car is from;

    There seems to be some confusion on the "S4" @dani211212: I have long understood the WRC97 to be the S4 and both the WRC98 and WRC99 to be classed as S5 (the car evolved but the Prodrive designation remained unchanged).

    In the last 12 months or so, I have seen several articles (and EWRC) start to refer to 1997 cars as S3, 1998 as S4 and 1999 as S5: I am still seeking clarification as to whether this is right or not (what I have been told thus far suggests it is not, but I am trying to find something official).

    The car in the promo images...

    ...is using an "R" registration, which would suggest it is a 1998 car. It matches very neatly with "R14 WRC" (but changed to "R14 DR2"), a car McRae used late in 1998:

    I think Codemasters are using the (potentially incorrect) "new" designation for the WRC98: they are saying S4, for what is actually an early S5. But hey, at least they aren't saying 22B!

    TL:DR it's a late 1998 car - I don't blame Codies for picking this one as, although it might not be the exact spec of car that was in CMR1, it is a close approximation which happens to be from the year in which that first game was released.

    Scenario challenges aren't my sort of thing, but the cars are great too - are you able to let us know what classes the new cars will be in please PJ?

    It's pretty safe to assume that the Legacy will be a Group A car, as that's exactly what it is.

    As for the Impreza S4, it's technically built to World Rally Car Regulations so that suggests it's in the World Rally Car 2000cc class, but it's age would make it a big outlier there - if you're looking for more appropriate competition IMO then put it in the same class as the Evo VI

    So there's two missing. From the trailer I guess the Metro is one of them. Maybe the other one is a Porsche ?

    The blog post mentions the MINI Cooper S in scenario mode and the trailer, as you say, heavily implies the MG Metro 6R4.

    I find this interesting:
    The scenarios take place in nine of the cars made famous throughout Colin’s career, including many iconic vehicles from previous Colin McRae Rally and DiRT games.

    Can someone say to me which nine cars these are?

    The blog post already mentions the following for Scenario mode;

    • MINI Cooper S
    • Peugeot 205 GTI
    • Ford Sierra Cosworth
    • Subaru Impreza 1995
    • Subaru Impreza S4 (implied)
    • Ford Focus RS 2001

    The following I'd also expect;

    • MG Metro 6R4 (new livery, trailer describes McRae's antics in one)
    • Subaru Legacy (new car)
    • Skoda Fabia (McRae livery already in-game)

    That is the last world rally car driven by our beloved Colin Steel McRae

    Actually, his last WRC event was in a Xsara in 2006... Codies, can we have a Xsara? Pretty please? 😘

    It was probably mentioned before, but is Peugeot 206 Rally stated for next week going to be 206 WRC or some FWD version?

    It will be the WRC version.

    Codies don't have the WRC license, so they replace "WRC" with "Rally" in the car name, as they have done for several other cars in the game.

    Do you mean the finals will be not in VR but they will be held in a physical place during an event with all the players playing on a monitor ? Otherwise I dont really understand what you mean.

    That is exactly what they mean. Check out footage from things like F1 eSports, World's Fastest Gamer finals and Sim Racing Expo - where there's lots of competitors playing 'live and in person', they tend to use identical rigs with a single monitor each. And this post is pretty irrelevant anyway because I got beaten by @Mike Dee

    Almost the same for Me (Steam version) Deluxe Edition, and i got all the cars, but Steam client show that i haven't got for example the Kadett C ... This Steam bug exist since first release

    The early unlocks for the Abarth, Alpine and Kadett were never a part of the Deluxe Edition / Season 1 & 2 content. They were only ever available as individual DLCs and as part of the Day One Edition (Abarth & Alpine) or as a pre-order bonus from certain retailers (Kadett).

    So according to Steam I don't own these cars. I have super deluxe edition

    I see you're subject to the usual, infuriating bug that happens whenever a DLC is released for this game

    Basically, seemingly random people's entitlements are slow to update and it's a bug that affects all platforms. The good news is that you don't have to actually buy the cars seperately, the bad news is that you might have to wait another day or two for Codies to sort out the entitlements and give you the content.

    Ehm...can someone please explain me why I have to buy the 306 and the Ibiza (I have the season 3+4 pass)

    Looks like the usual bug has happened again. If so then the cars will be added to your game within the next couple of days - far from ideal but at least you shouldn't have to pay anything.

    Codemasters - Why does this happen every single time a DLC is released??

  12. My method is to learn which co-driver calls can't be trusted and/or which corners I've ****ed up on and let the smooth Welsh voice in my ear guide me through the rest of the stage 😛 Sometimes the pacenotes that aren't to be trusted go to the other extreme and suggest going a bit too slow, such as at Bidno Moorland where there's a fast bit before the arena section;

    Damn, didn't realise they introduced a new structure for licensed liveries, the dream is over 😞

    Perhaps my wording was a bit off  - The dream isn't over, but it can only replace the black & gold Esso livery on the S4 and the Repsol livery on the integrale - these are authentic liveries that have been licensed by CM, hence my use of the "licensed liveries" term.

    On any livery where the number/names are yours as selected in your Profile (such as the DR2 Wurth liveries on any car except the 037) there is a different file system which doesn't let us mess with those liveries iirc. On liveries (such as the Repsol Integrale etc.) where the number & names are fixed, the livery files are editable (with some trickery to avoid Nefs file corruption) and can be modded 👍

    Not covered by your request but worthy of a note: all of the livery files for the DLC cars, regardless of format, are encrypted and can't be touched 😭

    Would it be possible for someone to recreate the Wurth livery from the Lancia 037, on the Delta Integrale and Delta S4? Ideally to replace the plain white Wurth liveries we currently have on both those cars

    latest?cb=20190528152814

    To make the skin is doable (by someone more talented than me!) but owing to the different file structure of the plain/fictional liveries compared to the file format of the licensed ones, I don't think it's possible to have them replace the Delta's Wurth skins in game
