That is exactly the point that nobody has been able to answer. Namely whether the Teammate really only gets faster with a car that has been 100% upgraded in all areas, or whether the effect occurs much earlier (e.g. with a car that has been upgraded to 90% or 95% overall). That is exactly the exciting question, from which upgraded percentage number does the fast teammate start. From my experience, I can only say that a single remaining upgrade no longer saves your career. At the end of my third season, where I became world champion, my car was 94% upgraded to the last race of the season. I still won Abu Dhabi, but my teammate, who finished second, was much stronger than earlier in the season.

They only depend on the level of difficulty set. With a worn engine, they will be more difficult to achieve because lap times will be slower.

Unfortunately this does not work with regard to the teammate. If I do that, then maybe I'm 10 seconds and more in front of the other drivers in every race and can always easily finish as second. But my teammate always stays faster than me.

Okay, let's talk again how it is when your car is 100% upgraded..... Currently, in my career the other teams are not all 100% upgraded, as I can see from the bar graph.

The general problem is that the teammate is much faster in a fully upgraded car than we are as a player. I have to pull this thread out again, because I am now in exactly this situation. I play 50% Races with 95% difficulty level / PC. I am now at the beginning of my fourth season in my career. One season Alfa Romeo, now the third season in a row Ferrari. Last season (third season overall in my career / second season with Ferrari) was my teammate at Ferrari Hamilton. I became world champion with a 100 point lead over Hamilton, won i.a. 12 races of the season. At the end of this season, the engine and reliability range had been 100% upgraded, chassis and aerodynamic were more than 80%. After the last race of the season, I ordered the last upgrades so that I now have 100% upgrades in all areas at the beginning of the fourth season. The performance in the graph is, I think, 1021. At the beginning of the new season my teammate is still Hamilton. I didn't change anything in the settings ... not in the setup, nothing. Now the results of the first four races of my fourth season in my career: HAM: 1 / 2 / 1 / 1 with the fastest race lap in every race. PC v1.22 / 50% Races / Career Mode / Third season Hi Folks! I play in my career the third season, and since some patch, I don’t really know which one, but it’s not that long ago, the Safety Car appears in almost ervery race. At the moment I have driven 9 races, of which it appeared in 7 races, sometimes even several times in one race. It annoys me so much that I am already considering whether to turn it off, which I actually don't want. Can someone explain this? Can this be just a coincidence? Has anyone else observed this? Now started the fourth season of the career, here are the results of the first two races: Australia: 1x VSC, no SC Bahrain: 1X SC, no VSC So basically it goes on....

In my opinion, the SC comes out justified in all of my examples. This means that it is okay in the positions of the eliminated cars I have described if an SC comes out. After a few days off I continued my career with the race in Monza ... and again with an SC! This time it hit Stroll in the 7th lap with an engine failure. It's really incredible, but things go wrong. @BarryBL Please, please, something needs to be improved with a patch, so it can not go on. In every race at least one driver has an engine failure, which ALWAYS dissolves an SC. I am now urgently requesting that this be worked on, as my feedback now shows a clear pattern. Perhaps the solution can be found in the fact that it is not the accidents of the AI cars that are to blame for the SC, but the engine burst, and the parking of the AI cars next to the track.
