I dont know in Norway man but in Holland they dont make enough noise. You cannot hear them especially with an Amsterdam city background white noise constantly over 60 db when you are on the road. This not to mention the noise produced by the other real cars on the road covering the Tesla's dying cat sad sound entirely.

Is the warning for the driver or for the pedestrian it is not very clear (I did not want to bother watching it all) ๐Ÿ˜„

Totally agree with using electric engine and reduce pollution as much as we can. I am 100% in. Just add the sound and that is it ๐Ÿ™‚

    DiRTy Gossip

To me it takes away a huge part of the racing at an emotional level. We all grew up with the noise of the engines and we all know automatically without even thinking a second the noise we have just heard must come from a powerful car. It is just my personal humble opinion but a fast and powerful car HAS to make also a powerful noise ๐Ÿ™‚ Call me nostalgic, call me old but come on guys VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM ๐Ÿ™‚ Apart from this 600 hp and instant 1100Nm is insanely cool .. just add the noise and I am happy ! One more thing about normal electric cars not racing ones. They are extremely dangerous because not making noise pedestrians or bikers cannot hear the noise of the car arriving. I have experienced that myself with a freaking hipster and his bs useless electric Pegperego Tesla. I did not hear it coming I almost crashed into it. Electric cars MUST make noise like a normal fossil fuel powered engine otherwise nobody can hear it coming and it is VERY dangerous.

Indeed fantastic but what about the sound man ? ๐Ÿ˜ž

    DiRTy Gossip

I can accept it only if they put loud speakers on the car making the same noise of a proper engine ๐Ÿ™‚ Electric cars are cool and surely the future but the sound, the roaring of a powerful engine, is a big part of the whole racing thing. You need to vroooooooom vroooooooom come on ! The noise of an electric engine sounds like a dying cat .. in one word: SAD eheh

    Assists faster vs Non-Assists?

Might be a personal thing but the added precision and the much better ffb of the 300-RS really made me def faster. With the t-150 it was a totally different experience. Again it can be just psychological but as soon as I started with the t-300 I have immediately seen an improvement in terms of racing times.

    Assists faster vs Non-Assists?

Ok so it is confirmed. I suck ๐Ÿ™‚ It is not because of the tuning or not tuning you make awesome times because you are just a lot better than me ๐Ÿ™‚ I started doing racing games with the wheel basically since 2 years. Never did anything before, but I dont give up practice is making me better and better. After switching from a t-150 to a t-300 RS my performances improved a lot.

    Assists faster vs Non-Assists?

@Ialyrn OK I finally understood the first letter of your nickname is a I not at L and that is why I could not tag you before lol ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you very much for your tests and confirming that I was really wrong ahaha I am really impressed by your times man. The best I have managed so far is a 20th place in a stage in Sweden and man I had to sweat a lot to make it. I guess you are playing this game a LOT to be so good dude. Do you play a lot with the tuning settings of the cars ? I am limited to the final drive which I put shorter or longer depending on the stage. Maybe a part of my problem (being slower) is not only being worse than you as a driver but also maybe not doing basically any tuning affects my times. If only we would be able to share the tuning presets I would be so happy to test the tunings of the best drivers in this game. It is really something important that is missing in this game IMHO.

    Assists faster vs Non-Assists?

Then maybe it might make a little difference after all if you use just TCS and keep everything else off. Of course 2,5 seconds is far from being a problem with the leaderboard's fairity I assume, but it is interesting to notice that with just TCS enabled there is indeed a little advantage.

    Assists faster vs Non-Assists?

I have done my tests with all the assists on and to the max. I did not try enabling just one of them at a time. @EHY can you test this on gravel, snow and tarmac and see if there are differences in times ? TCS enabled only.

    Assists faster vs Non-Assists?

Indeed I was wrong saying assists are giving you an advantage in terms of racing times. I am not the kind of fool that pushes his reasons against the pure evidence. When I am wrong I admit it. I am sorry we had an argument and I would like you to know there are no bad feelings on my side.

    Positive thoughts

Hi @bogani. Indeed you are right I have ran tests together with the help of @PJTierney and indeed I was wrong. Using assists make you slower on average. I guess the only reason assists are in the game is not to discourage beginners because the game looks too difficult for them. In my tests I am actually 10 seconds faster without any assist compared to my time with assists on the same track. I have verified this at least on 3 different track conditions (Snow, Gravel, Tarmac). Only with tarmac the times are similar but on snow and gravel without assists you are much faster. I was wrong I admit it.

    The game remove himself

I am sorry for you guys and I dont want to add anything to your frustration but why did you buy the game on the Windows store when you could have got it from Steam like everyone else ?
  16. Does anybody know if you can play Dirt Rally 2.0 using the Oculus Quest link ? I have the game for my Rift and I am thinking about buying the Quest for Xmas but of course I want to be sure that DR2 will work using the Oculus Quest link cable. Can someone please shed some light on this ?

    Assists faster vs Non-Assists?

I anticipate that I had set all assists to on and to the max. I tried on snow, on tarmac and on gravel. I was wrong I am afraid. On tarmac the times are almost identical. On snow with assists on I am 9 seconds slower and on gravel same thing. 1) Slower and the car felt unnatural 2) Def bogged in some points 3) I did not feel it faster but I hate driving with the assists because it really takes all the fun out of the experience. It is a rally car ! It has to drift as much as it can ๐Ÿ™‚

    Assists faster vs Non-Assists?

So it looks like also with snow in Sweden the gap between no assist and assist on is big but opposite to what I have thought ... Without assists I am 53rd in the world with 03:018:625 on this stage in the NR4 class. With all assists on I do 03:27 at best. Was I very wrong ? P.s. I'd love to see your time with this stage here @PJTierney ๐Ÿ™‚

    Assists faster vs Non-Assists?

@PJTierney lol I cannot get less than 02.26 with Subaru NR4. I have tried several times. I believe it is due to you being better than me (highly expectable) and my tuning skills being very very low. Basically I only play with the final drive setting and that is it. And as you guys said ... I did the same times with or without assists. I really did not expect it. I still did not try something that is not tarmac yet. I am going to test on a different rally like Sweden before saying I was wrong and look stupid.

    Assists faster vs Non-Assists?

Well the change from T-150 to T-300 RS did make me a LOT faster. It is like day and night the difference. So much more precise and the ffb is much more realistic.

    Assists faster vs Non-Assists?

With a joypad ? Wow. I have tried only once or twice to play with a joypad with disastrous consequences. How are the suggested settings for playing with a joypad ? I'd like to try with a good setup. I have both X-box controller for PC and PS4 controllers for the PS4. Is there any difference between playing with an xbox controller or with the PS4 one ?

    Assists faster vs Non-Assists?

OMG you are right ahah my bad I did not notice that. Since that category it is just two cars I never paid attention to it. I am not a rally fanatic and I dont know all the classes in real rally ๐Ÿ™‚

    Assists faster vs Non-Assists?

Sharing the tuning presets would be AMAZING man and yes I would be very happy just if the leaderboard would display which kind of Assists they have enabled. At least I would know ๐Ÿ™‚ Saying this I will never stop stressing how great this game is and how much I am enjoying it. I dont recall in 34 years of video gaming a single one I loved more than DR2.
