I've always viewed it as - doing good things selfishly is not a bad thing so long as the good deeds are still done. Sure it's a marketing/publicity stunt, but you know what? Everyone still comes out a winner. The family for getting a new car they could never afford, viewers for getting that feel good story they like around the holidays, and Lambo for PR.

I know there is an old saying about this but I can't remember what it was. In the end though it says doing good, regardless of the reason, is still doing good.

Straight to the point @Mike Dee. Exactly what I mean.

i dont pretend its my opinion. fake stories or promotions sales i hate. the people were used to show lambo in a good light to drive sales. the only difference is people actually believe this kinda stuff. as said doing at christmas as well makes it even worse. its like we could do this in october....no wait ! save it until christmas for ultimate exposure. there was no kind hearted thing about it. its a set up to sell. if you like it fair enough. nothing wrong with that. i dont. its fake. its social media bs people swallow and promote which i hate.

im sure the kid did enjoy it. fair enough. im glad he doesnt realize why it was done.

Still the kid's happiness is real and the one of his father too. They are not fake characters/actors. They are real. That's why it is a nice thing. It is in front of you and still you don't see it.

Who cares if Lamborghini decided they could make money out of it. They are not an ONG. It is a company and they behave exactly like all the other companies in the world. Scope = Make money. I don't know in which world you live but on planet earth that's how it is man.

yes and look how the video goes out at christmas.....if only the true generosity wasnt a promotion event. id give it a like.

We all know that we live in that kind of world you know ? But sometimes it is also nice to pretend a bit and being happy for the kid and his very good father. Little buddy had the best present and experience of his life. Look at his face ! He is nothing but pure joy !

It's completely normal 😄 I did 10 day break and after it I wasn't able to complete anything. Currently I play different game and hope one day I will come back again. It's about time. I can invest around 3 hours per day max which is not bad at all but you can't play two games.

Now you got us curious. Which is the other game ? 🙂

  6. I dont see any new RX 2019 class anywhere. I have checked twice it is running version 1.11. Why I dont see the new car class in RX ? Actually I dont even have the chance to choose any new car cause there are none.

What is going on here ?

Off topic but Started watching some Jim Clark rally videos from 2011-2014 some amazing stages and great variety of cars, from mg 6r4 to polo s2000 and variety of older wrc cars too. Well worth the watch.

Actually you are on topic 🙂 We are not !

Yeah: not getting holiday pay is a nuisance, but I think it is worth it in the long run.

Of course everybody has different necessities. Personally with mortgage, family and kid I prefer to earn a bit less but to have all the rest of the advantages and guarantees.

Not if you're self-employed: no sick days or holiday pay!

Yeah of course man. That's normal. There are pros and cons in being a freelancer compared to being an employee. One big pro is earning more as a freelancer the big con are the risks involved and no holiday pay 🙂

Many not even that much. The last job I worked at for almost 9 years had zero paid time off. And to be clear, the US has no federal law requiring employers to give any PTO at all.

That's sick man. How can this be possibly legal ? Basically in the US you are allowed to work yourself to death ... that's insane and inhuman. Here in Europe thank god employers cannot make you work more than a certain amount of hours a week (which in NL is 60 hours) by law. A company allowing a worker to work more than 60 hours/week is committing a crime and in the worst case scenario the government would even force the company to shut down. This is human and thank god we are protected.

The number of paid days off in Europe is between 20 and 30 days + national holidays according to the country.

I’m officially on Annual Leave from now until January. I’ll be around for World Series (and general banter) but don’t expect much else

Wow. How comes you have such a long break ? How many vacation days you have in a year ? In my current job I have 27 days off a year + national holidays.

  12. @PJTierney I never tried but if I enable hardcore damage does it reflect the real life rally damages ? What I mean is when I watch a video of a real rally stage I see sometimes it is enough to touch a rock on the side of the track to screw the car entirely and force the crew to retire. In DR2 I can crash at high speed, roll over 10 times and still being able to drive the car (which is a good thing btw) 😛

LOl, yeah I keep playing once , twice a week.Hard  to devote more than 4-6 hrs or so per week with real life , unfortunately.

I understand you perfectly. Work, kid, wife and friends here. Not so much time free for myself as well but I kinda manage to play 2 hours every two days more or less.

I have also noticed that switching from the T-150 to the T-300 RS improved greatly my gameplay and times. The T-300 RS is a lot more precise than the T-150 🙂

    you guys are Superhuman ……………………...

I thought the same initially. Instead I proved to myself that practice and the right tuning makes you better and better. At the beginning I was even thinking the top of the rankings were full of cheaters because I thought how could they possibly be even 1 minute or more faster than me ? Practice and persistence made me 20th in Sweden R5 (Algsjon sprint) and I play only since a couple of months.

I am sure I still have quite a bit of margin for improvements if I keep on practicing 🙂
