    Thanks for the suggestion, appreciated.

But i tried it, and it is no deal.

Too much performance loss, not mentioning the audio problem, you need to mirror audio as well with some app, which means even more performance loss.

And anyways DR2 doesnt work in vr if the game window itself is not onfocus.

ok, I did a recording of a run using obs and got audio in the video and i didn't notice any performance loss.

If you have enough performance headroom you can also use steamvr if you want to have friends over at your house watching.

edit: Well, the recording was done in Sweden which is the location i have most performance headroom so its possible id notice it more in a location like wales or scotland.

I own Steam version of DR2 and i play it launching in Oculus mode (I got an Oculus HDM).
The window on the monitor is doubled, you can see both eyes.
Which is incredibly stupid. Cannot record videos, cannot make friends watch a race.

    Any help with this please?

Very late answer so maybe you got it fixed but otherwise go into C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics and start oculus mirror.

My CPU and GPU usage are between 0 and 5 percent while this is happening,

Try to turn off your gpu monitoring software. Im aware you are on AMD and this is from Nvidias patch notes on their latest WHQL driver:

"[Steam VR game]: Stuttering and lagging occur upon launching a game while any GPU hardware monitoring tool is running in the background. [3152190]"

...but maybe AMD have that kind of issue too in DR 2.0.

I would like to keep the realistic performance attributes of the cars, however there could be an option in Dailies, Clubs etc to assign the Player a random car from that Class, you might get a quick car and be under pressure, as it were, to do the performance of the car justice, or you might get a slower car and have the challenge to get it further up the leaderboard than it's performance merits.

I really like the idea about getting a random car assigned in community events!

  5. How about the idea to make the faster cars more prone to getting damage and also lets say that the delta and metro getting the same kind of damage but it punishes the delta more? Have them more difficult to drive but still keep their "soul", if thats even possible? And another example is the 2000cc class, group them up in 2 with older and newer cars and allow for multiclass if the club owners want.

Thanks for the clarification!  Almost every swedish driver I've seen or known uses the Swedish co-driver and I just assumed it was in the game. 😄 Other than that there is DiRTY Pacenotes and Crew Chief where people can add their own notes with a lot of work obviously.

You need to be a part of a group on facebook to get the pacenotes and it has 230 members as of now, so thats how many thats (supposed) to be using it. 🙂

There are so many people using the Swedish co-driver that I think it's actually in-game. 🤔 Correct me if I'm wrong. 😆

It was a swedish guy that made it, he is using his own voice. It should be in the game though and i really hope that Codemaster consider that dude in their next game.

I still wonder why my boss pays me some days when I can't help but see reddit comics as DR2 memes...

  9. If the Subaru and Mitsubishi really is that different in real life in terms of performance I have no issues with it because i assume they race against each other? I just find it difficult to believe. But im not that much into rally so its plausible.

It certainly feels slow, even when short-shifting (which the car prefers) 🤔

It's fun to drive but thats pretty much the only reason to use it.

And being in the Mitsubishi and having a Subaru infront of you on the leaderboard is one of the worst feeling in the game.

Does anyone know what happened to the sound of Polo R5? I tried it now and it sounds like before the big sound update... why is that? I play PS4 and it is disappointing to hear it like it was at the game launch.

It's a known issue and only affect PS4.

I would say because those events are special events, designed to promote these cars... If you want to drive others, than please skip these events and stick to the regular ones... I like the way this is done, because a) it keeps the field levelled (in the sense that everyone drives the same car) and b) it's the way to encourage most of us to drive some fun but slow or sluggish car that we wouldn't pick, if there was other options.

But its ALWAYS the same car when its DLC-classes. They was not all the same car before they started to do it after the McRae DLC got released. And they are still using cars like the citroen/ford/lancia so its not always the slow and sluggish ones.

    No, CCU is normal.

There was a quick refresh of some things (like Clubs website) to help improve connection speed however, incase anything did go wonky. From our end everything seems solid.

I was about to play and made sure that it could connect before turning on the game in VR and having a seat in the rig. It went flawless and i got ready. Fired up the game again and it wasnt possible to connect. Just did another try just now and now it was without issues. This up/down/up/down is really bad because its so easy to lose progression in weeklies/monthlies/clubs.

I spotted the same when I was about to do my lunchtime Dailies.

I checked and there's some minor general Codemasters maintenance going on at the moment, which slowed various game servers down a little earlier. It didn't knock them out completely as the majority of players were still connected, however any new connection requests would have been a little slower.

It should be all good again now (I've been informed); I just checked now on Xbox and I was able to claim my Weeklies and repair a few cars.

Watched a guy on Twitch getting racenet issues right now so its not completely good yet.
