    GRID Autosport DLCs removed Already?

Just download the torrent. It has everything, no DRM, no "licensing" nonsense.

    Bug F1 2020

So why post it in the GRID 2019 forum? 🙄

Ways to get race driver: grid?

PC: No Mouse Support Again... :(

Usually the ones typing "your" or "should of" are from USA or UK, where they "should of" known better. 🙄

I'll post whatever I want. Why are you so negative? If you have nothing constructive to say about my posts, 🤫

Lazy game by lazy developers. Instead, they filled your game with microtransactions. How do you enjoy your purchase now?

Lighting and shadows downgrade on foliage

Just requested a refund. What with graphical downgrades, microtransactions and the likeliness of seeing this year's new tracks in this game just make me feel meh. How cool is it that we have the Steam refund option, huh?
  8. So you saying that they added microtransactions and store that screams "BUY MORE COINZZZZ" but that they "haven't done it to charge people"? How childishly naive are you? 🙄
  9. @richie UE4 isn't very good engine in general (too many visual artifacts this generation), but for racing, it just isn't suitable for it. Any racing game you look, be it MotoGP, Grip or Competizione. I bet it's easier to use than writing or maintaining your own, that's for sure, but that doesn't mean it's suitable.

    DiRT 3

What a shame this isn’t ported to Nintendo Switch. Could have been a real winner.
  11. Epic fail by the developers. They switched to UE, which is terrible for racing, killed modding on PC, and couldn’t get it running faster than 40fps, and didn’t even lock it. 🤦‍♂️😂 Complete technical failure. Do you know if it was a porting house or done internally? On PC it has been out for a while.
  12. @lastbreath I will tell you what you found: the game still looks terrible, but now cars are driving on mirrors, so you can see the terribleness twice.

    CODEMASTERS you are alone.

"Remasters" worth a damn are far and few. At this point, I don't trust Codemasters to make a proper remaster.

    CODEMASTERS you are alone.

@FlashStealth So far, both Mafia 2 and Mafia 3 "definitive editions" are ranging from mediocre ports (2) to just as terrible manure as original (3). Mafia 2 looks worse in "definitive edition" than the original, due to shader nonsense, while the PhysX effects are removed completely, despite the possibility to implement them with compute shaders instead of PhysX. Mafia 3 is the same manure buggy garbage that was released in 2016. They didn't even fix the damn shadows in that trash. So what exactly does Codemasters need to look at exactly? With Grid 2019, they've accomplished exactly what 2K accomplished with the "definitive editions": lazy game with less content that looks worse than the original. 😂

    Final nail...

Oh, I'm intimately familiar with Steam's refund rules. 😂 This is my way of testing games, after all, since almost nobody bothers to release a demo of their crappy games anymore.

It seems they aren't expecting good community response with Dirt 5 either, because they are not opening a discussion forum for Dirt 5, only Discord nonsense. If you are on PC, remember that you can refund on Steam, so no worries about trying a game and refunding if disappointed.
  18. My point was that instead of continuing with that reflection algorithm and enhancing it for """next gen""", they just chose SSR for RDR2. 🤦‍♂️ GTA5 was released in 2013, and for its time, the reflection implementation was amazing (PS3/360). It's sad that we are regressing in technique just because these companies have bitten much more than they can chew with """""4K""""" on five year old hardware.
  19. With racing games, it is possible to fake reflections with more costly techniques at relative low cost. But in general, reflections are a hard problem. Until ray tracing becomes prevalent (it obviously isn't yet with RTX or the """next gen""" console implementations), I fear this SSR crapola will be (ab)used still. Rockstar had a very interesting reflection implementation in GTA5, where they rendered per-frame cubemap reflection, which looked much better than SSR obviously. They had a cost saving limitation in GTA5 where only the world was rendered, without dynamic objects such as vehicles and people. Of course, with the """""next gen""""" engine included in RDR2, it was converted to ******** SSR, warts and all. 😤😤😤
  20. Yes, you are right. Modern reflections are terrible. SSR has so many caveats, especially the edges of the camera. For years, we had proper reflections in racing games, all running in 60 fps. But now everyone has to be trendy and (ab)use those ugly SSRs. And make no mistake, what you see in the trailer is definitely SSR. It exhibits all the artifacts of SSR.
  21. As long as there is no "yo yo my wizzle fo shizzle yo gangsta yo x gaemz Ken Tardo Block yo yo" nonsense, I'm fine.
  22. It's just SSR at a flattering angle. Why do you find it so unbelievable? Both F1 and Dirt Rally 2.0 have SSR implementations that work acceptably. Grid is the joke game with the joke engine.
  23. Don't blame consoles for bad game developers. Both the original PS4 and Xbox One have much better looking and running games than this turd, let alone a modern PC, Xbox One X or PS4 Pro.
  24. I didn't preorder. I bought it full price, refunded it (yay Steam!), then bought it on sale from the ARG store. 😂 It costed me really peanuts, and I wanted to see if there was any change after "season 1".
