Do we know if the AI will be accordingly faster too?

DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

CHROM3 has uploaded a comparison between sim and gamer mode. Strangely, some drifts look more realistic (momentum is kept longer and ending smoother) in gamer mode. Anyway, most notably is the time for the same stage: sim mode - 3:18.273 gamer mode - 3:04.221 That's quite a lot. Do we know what exactly the difference is between both modes? Are the physics different? Does gamer mode have more and better assists? Different tyres? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4UMcFqJC_Y

Can anyone who has the game test if apps like dashmeterpro already work with D4?

But I guess there is still no option to save the replays?

Thank you for the reply! 1. It's ok, was just wondering. 3. Good to know. I am on PC  5. Ahh, alright. I thought it was in the chassis tab.

Watching this rallycross, some questions come to mind. - Cars are squashed in the rear view mirror. - Does the spotter give us information about opponent position for overtaking (inside/outside/clear)? - Is a virtual rear view mirror optional? - Can we activate position indicators (inside/outside/clear)? - Looking at the repair menu, I am missing the option to clean the car. I could swear that I've seen that in some older videos?

Another thing that concerns me watching some videos, is that the tyre noise with regards to grip level starts way too late. For example here: Watch from 3:30 when he's in the DirtFish area. https://youtu.be/T56DhEny7OU?t=204 You can only hear the tyres, when he is already fully sideways. That's way too late. In every other racing game, you get an audible indication about the griplevel of your tyres. That may not alway be realistic, but is really important because of the lack of seat-of-pants feel. The lack of tyre noise also makes the cars seem somehow floaty on tarmac.

That's what I am saying. As soon as the car goes sideway, it loses all the momentum. This was present in DR and judging by the videos is still present in D4. Maybe someone with enough skill can make a test in the Dirtfish area. Drive at let's say 100 mph and - brake with ABS - brake manually (Threshold braking) - brake with handbrake and throw the car sideways I suspect the third option will result in the shortest deceleration distance, which it shouldn't.

Great looking WRX tracks. I hope you guys at CM are working on comment-generator for WRX replays with Andrew Coley's voice for Dirt-5. ;-)

Yes, the behind drivers view is so much more realistic and better, especially now that we have full animation of steering wheel rotation.

The stuff by aki1337 looks good so far. TV replay also looking good. But why aren't they always using the onboard cam behind both pilots whenever they switch to onboard for a short time?  The pilots eye view interlude is breaking the immersion for the TV replay. The cam for the view from behind  the pilots is already there and is used in reality too. Why don't they use it?
