Multiplayer always defaults to offset TV

It just happens the first time I go to Multiplayer. Once changed in Multiplayer, it stays until I exit the game. Once I start the game again and go to Multiplayer, it's back to offset TV pod.

Multiplayer always defaults to offset TV

It does change it for subsequent multiplayer races but next time I load the game, it's back to tv pod offset again. In single player mode, it's set to cockpit but multiplayer always defaults to tv pod offset.
  3. How can I change the default? It always defaults to offset TV pod - very annoying. It never saves my preference. Thanks

Endless crashing in pit menu - F1 2019

I'll try it but it'll make no difference. I've tried every config change that I can think of and as I keep telling you, I've reproduced on 2 different Windows installs, one of which was completely clean.

Endless crashing in pit menu - F1 2019

The crashes occur in any menu. On my Windows 10 Pro system, it was crashing in the options menu direct from the main menu.

    Thanks for your experience.

Endless crashing in pit menu - F1 2019

My system is completely stable. No other application, be it professional, stress-test or game has any issues. I only took out 16GB of RAM on the extremely unlikely chance that F1 2019 had some bug triggered by > 16GB. I appreciate that you're tying to be helpful but regardless of driver differences, version of windows etc, the game crashes in exactly the same way. Another dxdiag will not get us anywhere. This now needs to be looked at by CM devs.

Endless crashing in pit menu - F1 2019

Did a bit of research on the EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION error. It generally occurs when a program attempts to access memory that doesn't exist or is protected by the OS. A simple example of how this can occur would be iterating beyond the last element of an array in C++. To me (professional developer but obviously completely unfamiliar with the code) this looks like a bug in the code and/or Nvidia driver. @RedDevilKT @Hoo I would be extremely grateful if you forward this case onto you devs for analysis. See 2 posts above, I reproduced on a totally clean install of Windows 10. I'm clearly not the only one with this issue, this guy is also getting access violations with an RTX 2080ti with the latest Nvidia drivers:

Endless crashing in pit menu - F1 2019

I have reproduced the issue on a completely clean consumer version of Windows Pro. Procedure: Formatted disk. Installed Windows Pro 1903 Installed Nvidia Driver 436.48 Installed Steam Installed F1 2019 Absolutely nothing else! The game crashes in exactly the same way in the same place but as I play with settings, I've found it crashes in any menu, eg options. Here is the dump 564600-20191016-203359-0.zip

Endless crashing in pit menu - F1 2019

No, I've done nothing at all like that. It can happen in any menu. For example, load the game, go to the options menu, leave for ~30secs and it will crash. Also, I've tried closing every possible background process. Can you think of anything else that I can try/test?

Endless crashing in pit menu - F1 2019

@RedDevilKT I'd really appreciate if somebody from Codemasters could have a look at this thread. The game is unplayable for me at the moment.

I'm on the latest BIOS for the mobo, I updated it last week. I'm on Windows LTSC and this is the latest version. So not much more I can try huh? Over to you Codemasters...

Endless crashing in pit menu - F1 2019

Here's the full dump from the typical pit menu crash. I monitored VRAM usage. It never got above 4700MB so I think that was a red herring. I'm disappointed that nobody from Codemasters has commented just to say they're aware of the issue. It doesn't give me any confidence that this will get fixed any time soon. It makes me wonder if I should cut my loses, get a refund now and avoid their titles like the plague in future. Such a shame. 564600-20191015-220502-0.zip
