I will start asking the guys to give on board footage, what is the easiest way to get a video on here ?
We normally record the footage on the PS4 , and then replay it and record it again on the Phone and send a Whatsapp.
How do I then get the footage on here , I see Max File Size is 48 Mb , that is very Small when videos are submitted.
Hi @AcidBurn247,
You could link them via YouTube and I can look from there

Just throwing it out there.
Hi @AcidBurn247, do you have video's on this? "Throwing it out there" is great, but a video showing us where, what and why is even better.

The fix codemasters have implemented only goes to highlight deeper issues with the game, which I may add, have already been mentioned multiple times and over several game releases on this forum.
Hi @ChasteWand
Much like how @Magic1111 has correctly raised and debated an issue, do you have any examples from F1 2019 you have experienced on this topic that you can add to the discussion? As mentioned earlier, we took the initial feedback (which was no SC at all) and tried to find a way to improve overall game experience for the player which, from most examples, it has done.
If you have any issues where you feel a discussion can be had, please follow others examples and post a bug report using the correct methods.

Maybe it's the language or I wasn't clear ... I write a lot with Google Translater because I come from Germany ...
I want to try to explain it again ...
In my opinion, the SC comes out justified in all of my examples. This means that it is okay in the positions of the eliminated cars I have described if an SC comes out.
The mistake, in my opinion, is that at least one AI car has an engine failure in EVERY race! That is the real reason for an SC! This means that the team (Codemasters) should significantly reduce the likelihood of engine damage! At least from the third season.
So again: The position of the eliminated AI cars justify an SC. Only every race comes out because at least one AI car is eliminated in every race, mostly with engine damage!
So the approach must be not to patch the frequency of the SC, but the engine damage of the AI cars!
Was that understandable now?😪
Thanks for the clarification @Magic1111, I was going all race steward for a second there!
I can raise this to the developers to let them have a look and a discussion about the frequency of AI engine failures for sure.

Any penalties? Warnings? Fastest lap? How far ahead of Max/2nd did you finish? Total racetime?
These could all be factors in your score.

@MT93, just toyed with this as I needed to negotiate the hairpin at Monaco.
Your degree of rotation is too low on your controller. Much like my wheel (which was at 900 degrees, too high) I then dropped it to 270 degrees and had the exact same problem as yourself. I'd recommend around 360 potentially. If anyone has abetter idea for ideal DOR, please let us know.
To change it, go to Control Panel > Devices > Right click on device > Properties > Properties again and there should be a degrees of rotation option. I'm guessing yours is between 270 and 300. Make that around 360 - 400 and you should be good

The maximum limitations for combined VSC and SC's are:
25%, 50% and 100% race distances have identical deployment rules, except maximum number of deployments which are 2, 5 and 6 respectively. This is designed so that you would still get most of the race session being at racing speed, rather than spending a large proportion under Safety Car conditions.
Sidenote: The reason that the most is 6 is to match the record of the 2011 Canadian Grand Prix, which had 6 deployments of the SC in a single race.
Notes from Patch 1.20 above

On the Safety Car discussions, at the start of the game cycle we did receive a vast amount of feedback that the Safety Car doesn't come out at all from a lot of players (e.g. never seeing the SC in a full season etc). However, this did depend on user. Some users never saw it, and I guess I was a lucky one in July to see it on my home save with McLaren (even though I got Devon as a teammate come Austria)
Taking feedback on board, we did tweak the deployment ratios of the VSC and SC so more people saw the SC. In a league race for example, with a higher percentage chance of human error (as there is more humans), it would be naturally expected that you would see a higher percentage chance of a SC. Our league race is tomorrow at Monaco, and I'd be pretty confident that we'll see some sort of SC/VSC action even with a lobby full of clean drivers (we had a VSC in AUS) due to human/my inevitable error, and that's its Monaco. I'm sure that a lot of the players in our league are probably going into tomorrow expecting the same, and might even plan for it.
However, with some of the examples in the videos above (thanks for them btw) are up for debate. @Magic1111, with your Russia example, where the McLaren has stopped is in a prime overtaking position, on a DRS straight, on a tightening corner, and would be pretty close if 2 cars were side by side into the right-left. So (disclaimer: I'm no race steward) I'd potentially consider moving that car as its in a risky place. Again, much like a lot of these, they are up for interpretation. I'd like to see what others think.
Monza however, im not so sure. Stroll is stopped on a piece of grass near the apex of a overtaking place, and a very high speed corner. Do you know exactly where he stopped?
I can add this to the Safety Car feedback we've had as we continue to look at refining the deployment moving forward.

Hi @Leandro7032,
Your steering wheel is not on the supported list for F1 2019. List is in the link below:
http://blog.codemasters.com/f1/06/f1-2019-compatible-wheels-and-controllers/
You may need to customise your settings in the advanced settings in the F1 2019 menus, where you can alter the deadzone.

Hi @Szymoo,
Can you please complete the below:
We recommend copying this and filling it out with the questions alongside it so CM staff and other users can see the problems you are having
1. A description of the issue. Please include any error codes here.
2. What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen)
3. Game-mode?
4. Are you able to recreate the issue? If so, please include recreation steps on how you encountered this issue.
5. How often do you see this problem? Is it the only time or does it always happen?
6. Have you tried any troubleshooting? We recommend the steps here as a starting point for any issues. Please let us know what troubleshooting methods you have tried while creating this post.
7. Any accessories you are using (gamepad, wheel etc)
8. Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears.Providing this information is vital for Codemasters to be able to investigate, diagnose and hopefully help solve your issue. It also helps our Moderators find appropriate tags and other members recommend their ideas based on their experiences.
Please add the questions in your post too so I can see everything in one place. Without this, I don't have the necessary information to replicate and diagnose the issue

One advantage of me getting fed up and going to time trials is I'm getting a lot better at the racing lines. Before I spent time in time trials for example at Monaco I was having trouble getting under 1:12. I now have a rank on the global leaderboards of 2823 out of 15000 with a lap time of 1:09.480. ( Not wallriding I might add ) legit lap. So all is not lost to the dirty drivers. With bad comes good ✊Also should add I use ABS and TC medium. No brake assist no race line.
That's much quicker than my current Monaco times, I'm sitting at around 1:11 pre-league testing. Don't even know why I added it into the league haha.
A PS4 league is something we are looking into doing in the future too, pending enough interest.

HI @thisdisplayname, please see below. These cover the basics of setup and how to navigate through the UI before your next session. I hope this is what you were looking for
@sloppysmusic they were for a while, and I seem to have un-featured my own post. I'm a clown! Back featured.

Hi @RLor,
Apologies, I don't fully understand.
So you don't have 7th gear? Can you get to 7th and 8th gear? What gamemode are you playing? Maybe filling out the below might help.
If you are looking to report an issue, please copy the questions from the reporting template in the below and answer

Hi @MT93
This model of controller is not on our supported list. Full list is below:
http://blog.codemasters.com/f1/06/f1-2019-compatible-wheels-and-controllers/
To use a custom controller, it would be a case of custom mapping to your needs. Does your controller come with any specific software where you can calibrate it on the PC at all. Maybe try going through your Control Panel > Devices > Select Controller > Properties to see if that helps you identify your problem,
-
To agree with @1512marcel, your steering settings are far too sensitive. I'd tweak the settings to find a more comfortable settings.
Also, with your inputs on the controller, it does still need to be gradual inputs. Also, what gamepad are you using? One that is officially supported?

Hi @RLor,
F1 cars of the current spec have a maximum of 8 gears. Just to clarify, are you struggling get to 8th gear, or past it?

8 hours ago, Mike5500 said:So I've learned it's absolutely pointless to enter races in the unranked lobby that have collisions on and especially damage on. I'm writing this minutes after qualifying 3rd at Monza and getting about 100 metres down the start and getting forcefully pit maneuvered into the wall destroying my car. All I did was qualify faster than someone who apparently thinks passing is ramming people off the track. I guess it's people like that who know they will never be competent so they take it out on people who are. This rant is brought to you by our sponsors over at holy **** this is frustrating. I'm thankful this game allows collisions off. It's basically fastest wins without playing ultimate bumper cars.
If you are on PC and fancy some cleaner racing, maybe consider our forum league. We used to run unranked lobbies but people would join and take others out. Unfortunately, its very difficult to account for human behaviour. Also, I crash plenty of times on my own, I don't need help 😛
Let me know if you're interested @Mike5500

Okay, I'll investigate this and see how often I can replicate the issue. Although corner cutting under SC/VSC seems like a really strange thing to do, having an instant penalty is odd. I'm guessing you have corner cutting on 'strict'
-
Hi @Redhunt
Firstly, as you have a NVIDIA card, please check our green announcement on the top of the page and revert back to version 442.74.
Also, with your issue, it seems to be a connectivity issue. Please check router and firewall settings. This would be my first places for action. Silly question, but I take it you are running on a wired connection?
-
Agreed, try the green announcement bar at the top of the 'Technical Assistance' pages for advice on reverting back to 442.74

Have you completed another race. From the feedback in the thread, it may take a race to register.

Hi @steviejay69,
Check the Steam chat for an update, but I agree. Corner cutting will be changed to strict for the rest of the race sessions. I guess Monaco can be seen as a bit of a one off. Damage is being upped to 'full' too.
I'm planning to chat to the team that created the league and anyone I can on the multiplayer side of things Tuesday (UK bank holiday) to get a recommended way to run this league.
Can only apologise for today. At least running the league lets me not just see it on the forums, but experience it too.
