Hi everyone,
I'm working on a theory for those affected, which I've managed to replicate. In your custom control scheme, please ensure that 'brake' and 'shift down' have different buttons assigned. Having the same button assigned caused massive gearbox wear.
Recommended:
This provided only 1% gearbox wear after 3 laps.
Not recommended:
This provided 12% wear after 3 laps.
Result:
When you are braking with the 'not recommended' format, the control map also makes the game think you are constantly shifting down throughout the brake zone, as that's the instruction. Can users check their custom schemes and make the according changes and feed back to me.

HI everyone,
We are trying to replicate this one internally at the moment, and any savegames affected would be really appreciated. If PS4 and PC players have this issue, please add your savegame as an attachment onto this thread please. It would really help our investigation. Thanks.

Fair enough, sorry, was on annual leave Friday.
We have a fix in test and is now scheduling for a upcoming patch.

I attached the save so it's either one of those modes or both. Please solve it fast I played a total of 25-30 minutes and no more. @BarryBL
I hope some other friends will provide files as well to solve this as fast as possible.
Hi @TheScientist903,
We've had a look at your savegame. Can you confirm which buttons you have assigned to brake and down shift please. I'm pretty confident this is your save, and it looks like they are mapped to the same button.
We are still looking into this and investigating. Thank you for your patience on this.

Is this one more of those fabled stories about how life was before COVID-19?
100% before COVID. The good old days. Drink and career mode with 2018. Using a wheel stand made of the glass dining table, which was a bold strategy with hindsight. Had to have FFB on about 25 because I was terrified of shattering the table. No wonder it took me 3 years to win the WDC in that year of the game.

Does that mean in general they are very close this year in race trim as well? I just made the jump to no traction this year and I'm a league racer, unsure if I will continue with no traction if I feel disadvantaged.
Hi @HeroOfTime91,
I can assure you that running without TC is a faster solution. Pre-working for CM, I ran with full TC as I just played for fun on a Friday night before going to see my friends. Since dropping to 'Medium' TC, I found around 2 seconds a lap. Also, in the rare instance I nail a lap without TC at all (hard to do with not so much practice these days), I'm 0.8 to a second quicker.
Running without TC would give you a pace advantage, its just a little (or, for me, a lot) harder.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the feedback, and apologies for the radio silence on this. It was something heavily discussed, and we didn't want to come back to you with information that was subject to change.
We noticed the amount of requests here, and have added a schedule for F1 2019. A lot of the credit has to go to @RedDevilKT on this one, I'm just the guy who asks the questions. He's done the work for it, so praise has to go to him. 👍

I have to third this here. There is no gain to being in 'overtake' mode at the end of the formation lap, and is illogical to do so from a race standpoint. If anything, you are losing out on a small amount of charge.
Also, just attempted a quick replication in Grand Prix and failed. Do you have a custom control setup that you are using at the moment.

Hi @emjay2kay,
That's good enough proof for me, or just link the Youtube videos if thats easier.

Changing to Type 1 would improve your experience @KnivesAkimbo. Googling "Changing NAT Type PS4" should provide you with plenty of step-by-step guides to help this if you are unsure on how to do so. 👍

More dev feedback:
Are you using a wheel? If so, which. If not, please state how you are driving on track. Many thanks 👍

It is something we are investigating, however, with 2020 taking precedent and bug fixes and updates for that, this has taken a little more time than expected. We hope to have an update at some point.

@chrisk88, Can you confirm what areas of your pre-order package are missing?
Also, the pitcoin amount would be 10k for the 70th edition. Also, if you can confirm your pre-order to our customer services team, they should be able to help you.
-
@TheScientist903, @charlesfan11 and @LukeyboiWalker, apologies (my bad here), can you confirm gamemode (or if it happens everywhere) too so the devs know which save to look at

Try both changed NAT type to type 1 (Open) as you are currently on Moderate, which can pose issues.

Yeah same as mine then. At least its consistent. Have bugged and sent off to devs. Thanks for the top reporting (and great spot, I totally missed it initially on looking at it)

It looks like your team colour is a very close match to the background colour. Can you trail changing your primary team colour to something brighter and see if this still happens?
EDIT: Happened to me too, and my car is purple and neon green. Will investigate. Thanks @mahmutcan0163

Hi @sestacruz and @MichałKucharski
Please post a DXDiag so we can see the full specifications of your machine.

Hi @JVtheTossh
Can you post a DXDiag and your copy of your Advanced Graphics and Video Mode Settings. An example is below:
First step would be to try and turn 'Asynchronous Compute' Off.
Merged topic and on same issue.

Also under investigation @chrisk88. Has been previously reported and I've added a internal bug report to the devs.

What do you mean "Can't see level of facilities"?. The final image sums up the status of your facilities.
