In theory yes, but feedback on that would be really useful for us. If you can try it out @ILRT_Owen and let me know on here, i'd really appreciate it.

Hi @Getts0388,
I've spoken to our Sales team on this, and it is at retailers discretion. We will have the tools our side of things for you to get the game on the 7th, even as a hardcopy. What I'd recommend is to go to your GameStop, let them know the version you want, and double check with someone at the store that you can come and get this on the 7th.
I personally don't buy a lot of games in disc anymore (mostly because I'm lazy 😛 ) but, from my memory, that is possible here in the UK as I have done so for other games in the past. We'll have the facility our end and access will be online from the 7th, just make sure with the retailer as you should be able to do so.
Hope this helps

If you find something wrong with the game, the developers want to know about it. It may have been reported before (always search the bug reporting section for the same bug first, and add to that report) or it may be completely unknown. Regardless, the more information the Devs have about the bug, the easier it is to find and fix. Adding to an existing report gives more data that the Devs can use to zero in on the problem.
Imagine there are around 3 million lines of code. I'm guessing, but based on my bit of checking, this is a rough number for a big AAA game.
"There's a problem with the game." This means searching through 3 million lines of code, with no way to know what you're really looking for.
"There's a problem with the AI." This at least puts the bug in a smaller part of that code, say 50,000 lines of code. (Again, these are numbers designed to illustrate a point, not be 100% accurate.) But we still have a huge number of variables to work with, and far too many possibilities to try to search through.
"There's a problem with the AI when coming out of the pits." Ok, we're getting there. Now we're down to just the code that controls that part of the AI behaviour - say, 5,000 lines of code. But again, too many unknowns. Which track, how long was the race, WAS it a race or was it Quali or Practise, etc, etc.
"In a 100% length race at Monaco, dry weather, full quali, no practise, standard start time, AI difficulty 94, playing as Hamilton in a Grand Prix (Monaco the only race). Lap 28, as I rounded turn 1 an AI (Vettel) coming out of the pits veered directly in front of me, causing a collision. Video attached. Version 1.2.3. Report code blah-blah-blah." When you provide this much information, and it's in the correct bug report format, it's much easier for the Devs because it gives them what they need to duplicate the situation. The key to finding a bug is being able to duplicate it. If you can't, it's almost impossible to locate and fix.
I hope this helps.
Complete sense here. Thank you @DrDraken.
This importance of correct bug reporting can't be underestimated. It gives us a chance to replicate an issue, which is vital 👍
In terms of some other 'discussion' on here, its not on original topic at all. I actually feel bad for you here @DrDraken, as you've taken time and effort to raise an important issue, in a well thought out and considered manner which we truly appreciate and that can help everyone, as have others who have commented here objectively and engaged in a discussion on how bug reporting can improve . We appreciate you

Now, my question for @BarryBL or anyone else in the know:
Which Schumacher helmet designs will be in the game aside from 1991/1994/1995/2000/2004? Or is that it?
Personally I would love to use his 2005 and/or 2012 helmet in career mode.
Hi Sector,
To confirm, it will be the helmet designs to match the cars. There is no plans to extend further helmets available except those with the car packs.

I'd recommend having racing line and finding your feet on the track. Try testing at one track for a long time, as the gains you will see will be based on your driving, and will translate track-to-track.
I'd also recommend the base settings on your controllers for now as they are a solid base point. Remember, sometimes to go fast, you feel slow. Things like smoothness and consistency are problems for about 80% of all our drivers (me included!). Just practice, it comes with time. Then consider dropping down braking assist a little.
Try and learn on 1 circuit first. At least then you'll get used to the flow of the circuit, so you can focus on driving. Auto gearbox to begin with too is important, especially at early levels.

There will be options for a shorter Career mode season, however, I cannot confirm or deny at this time if an updated calendar to follow real-life events.
-
Hi @Getts0388
At the moment, with such uncertainty over the length of the official 2020 calendar, we are still awaiting information on this. The standard 'Career' modes now available in game will have access to the full 2020 season in its original design, as well the opportunity for shorter season.
At this moment in time, we have not confirmed Weekly Events scheduling.

Michael Schumacher: the GOAT. We’re celebrating the greatest F1® driver of all time with our brand new in-game trailer.
Using a mix of archive photography and F1® 2020 gameplay, we’re taking a look at the four iconic cars included in the Deluxe Schumacher Edition.
- 1991: Jordan 191 – Launched Michael's career. One of the most beautiful F1® cars ever. (Seriously, find us a better looking F1® car. We’ll wait).
- 1994: Benetton B194 – Michael’s first World Championship.
- 1995: Benetton B195 – Gave Benetton its first, and only, Constructors’ Championship.
- 2000: Ferrari F1-2000 – Scored Michael his first driver’s title with Ferrari, with a phenomenal 10 pole positions and 10 race victories.
It’s not just these amazing cars that are included in the Deluxe Schumacher Edition, you’ll also get three days early access, and exclusive themed car liveries and driver customisation items, including a unique podium celebration.
We’re not finished quite yet – if you get the F1® 2020 Seventy or Deluxe Schumacher Edition, you’ll have access to the Ferrari F2004: the one that brought Michael his record-breaking seventh World Championship. We’ve updated it, adding a #1 to the nosecone and embossing his name on the headrest.

People may have got it to work, but I've never seen it and tbh, I wouldn't recommend it at all. 60Hz is for sure the initial diagnosis here. We have options for 50Hz and 60Hz, but not for 30Hz

@Malvarezr have you tried some of our wider troubleshooting tips below. Also does this happen at just one track or circuit. Could you add a video so we can possibly see where in the game cycle the crashes happen?

@serdarcoban the bug reporting template is in green at the top of the page.
Okay, I find it difficult to recommend anything else here. Player B and C are on 'strict' NAT types, and A is on 'moderate'. Twinned with the more unstable wireless connection, I'm not surprised that you are running into issues.
As tested by our league, wired connection is vital to stable multiplayer gameplay. Try to move to wired connections and 100% consider changing your NAT type to Type 1 (or at least Player C to type 2) to get moving.

This has been a nice break from BETA to read through.
Yeah, racing incident IMO. And I've seen some incidents 😛

To comment on the UDP stuff, I have an update.
Our plan is to release this after the BETA is complete, and we have a 'locked in' spec. It's mostly there in truth, we just want it to be right of course. We are confident that, all goes well, we can release earlier than game release for sure. We'll get it available as soon as we can, we just don't want discussion generated on the main forums about the BETA, which has happened in the past.
But to answer your question @AlexTT, yes we will make it available before release and plan to as soon as we can as long as all goes well.
-
Alex, I'm more than happy to discuss with you in PM's as you are someone who contributes to these forums. Therefore, I can understand your frustration. I think 'evades critical people' is a little unfair, as they are plenty of forum users who are critical, as my notifications keep reminding me. 😛
Just, for my sanity, could you give me a week. I think that's a fair enough thing to ask for. We're just inundated at the moment, and I'm 'somewhat' busy/going mad 👍
-
All this BETA stuff got my head going crazy. 3pm guys.
We'll finish this championship under the current settings and then can vote to move around once all the chaos has died down

It is still something under investigation. If you can provide a full bug report with numbers of replication (i.e how many times it happens vs how many times you try) it would help me report it to the Developers.
