Project Cars 2 has intrigued me for ages. I didn't have the hardware for it when it launched, but I do now. If I knew I could get a decent race out of it I might be inclined to give it a go sometime. So far, DR2 is the only one that I've stuck with, even though I haven't played it for ages. I've been playing a lot of RPG's and fancy trying a flight sim.

real life 2020 FIA World Rally Championship

I like to binge watch whole seasons over winter. Shouldn't be that hard to do this time round. I get a bad back if I sit in my computer chair for too long. That said though, I watch the live stream from Santa Pod for hours! (Can't watch that anywhere else though!) -

Thanks for posting about Turkey, It's on ITV4 tonight at 21:00. If the freeview channels would stop re-jigging I'd set a series link! -
I've never played much of the rallycross in DR2.0, it just didn't interest me. I purposely didn't buy a bundle deal so that I could omit all the cars and tracks that I wasn't going to need or use. I bought DR2.0 so I could enjoy the solo thrills.

When I had Asetto, I spent months getting all the cars, tracks and mods, then setting the cars up and driving them. It was then that I discovered that the AI just wouldn't let me have a decent race. I was either several seconds ahead or several seconds behind and there was no middle ground. I then had a major falling out with the AC community on Race Department and I decided to leave both them and the game behind. When I came to uninstall it, I realised, to my horror, that I'd installed well over 100gb worth of mods!! So far, the only driving game at which I don't seem to suck is Dirt Rally 2.0. It is also highly playable with minimal mods and I do actually enjoy the community.

Just when I thought I had a machine that would run new games, this and Microsoft Flight Simulator come along. Suddenly, my Subaru looks like a Mini again! -
Well that sucks! Ah well, it is what it is. Thanks for the ones you were able to give us.

If you set your pad up using PJ Tierney's settings, on here somewhere, you can drive really well In DiRT Rally 2.0.

Volvo Amazon rally car!?

Still should be as Steam kept all the files. Haven't driven much recently though, had a lot of gaming to catch up on after my reinstallations.

Codemasters secures World Rally Championship license from 2023

Happy days! My PC will probably be minimum spec by then though! -
Get in!

After successfully reinstalling Dirt Rally 2.0 earlier, I'm tempted to reset the game and just set up and drive the Colin McRae cars. All I've ever really wanted from a Codemasters rally game is Colin McRae Rally with better graphics, and that's just what this is now. Happy days!

Cool! I might just do that then! Been so long since I played I'll have forgotten how to do it. Not looking forward to manually entering all those setups again though!

I'm guessing custom liveries aren't stored in the cloud. I wrecked my old SSD that had all my games, liveries and settings on it. I still have zip files for what I did install, as I store them on an external drive, but quite possibly not the bookmarks for what the liveries were. I'm guessing I may be some time deciphering what went where. I'll probably have to go right through this thread from page 1 to find what I had. This'll be fun! EDIT: Eeee! It's not so bad actually! I just looked up the zips on my external drive and they're clearly marked. I'll just have to put them in the right places when I reinstall the game.

Oh, I'd actually rather start from scratch, so I can set meaningful times in the McRae Subaru. I feel like I'm getting somewhere if I'm smashing PB's and not trying to beat stuff I set in better cars when I was still playing the game regularly.
-
If you can post times that good driving an 037 in Finland, you're doing well! Keep at it. After losing my SSD the other week due to a damaged power connection, I will more than likely have to start everything from scratch. However, it gives me the chance to do better, better than I did before, but, by no means better than everyone else. You have to do the best you can do and keep pressing on.

Bonkers machine! Scared me to death in Colin McRae Rally and still does!

I feel a Governor Tarkin coming on... "Vader, release him! This bickering is pointless..."

Hmm, what with optimisation for next gen consoles, it's likely we'll need a hefty spec PC to run it on. We will see.....

Unexpected easter egg! I wonder if there's a flasher as an unexpected event somewhere.....

All done in 40mins for me. Not played it yet. I am upgrading my PC and don't plan on gaming till it's all done.

Very nicely worded letter, Be very interesting to see what comes out next....
