Sure, I get it. But put yourself in our position. Do you feel responsible for the Codemasters brand? Please take a look at this topic because we have no one to talk to here, no one from YOU writes back here in the Grid section. This situation is not a good promotion and does not build brand loyalty ๐ and we are all yours customers Please help us at least by pushing this topic link to the people responsible for the Grid project Thanks in advance

A post release mode that weโre happy to announce today is split screen mode coming after release for everyone. Again, you have to buy the DLC. I have a three-year-old daughter and I want to play side-by-side with her. Itโs really big for us that if you buy it weโre going to be supporting you The GRiD game director Christopher Smith, 01st, Jul. 2019 https://gamingbolt.com/grid-interview-weather-track-online-offerings-and-more The classic split-screen game option returns like a boomerang, both in the Grid and in F1 2019. It really doesn't matter today where this information first appeared. It's more important that the question of split-screen is constantly postulated on large social platforms and in the sale comments to this game and it is commonly believed that it was announced. Perhaps such information has appeared somewhere. Maybe it was just about F1 2019, maybe the Grid also, or maybe it was just a misunderstanding. It's more important that people want this option and the topic comes up regularly here and there. There are thousands of such comments because people really want it. the F1 community simply received such support, it was enough that the person responsible for communication with the community just understood that this demand made sense and simply reported such a request to dev team: So I have a strong feeling that there is a dead zone in communication between Codemasters and the the Grid community. Is the GRiD director Christopher T. Smith or Mark Green or Steve Bennett part of this the forum? Could someone on CodeMasters side give them this topic? We're your customers @Hoo PS @BarryBL I know you are a supporter of the F1 community but you are the only one who writes back and as we can see you are effective when users suggest something. Please take a look at Chris Smith's declarations from last year and please push this topic to the Codies Southam Team. After all, this promise of the director is now grotesque without coverage and it hurts the Codies brand ๐ The topic was raised many times on the Grid forum part, but there is no feedback from CM side in any topic. It even looks like the people responsible for communication have abandoned this part of the community ๐

I don't think it ever occurred to me to think about price fluctuations in the context of reviewing the gameplay. the game was priced like most titles on the market, so the arguments and logic a bit strange but let's leave this topic. price is always a relative concept through the prism of the wallet thickness, therefore there is no point making it an argument and tearing garments ๐ the gentlemans just don't talk about money, someone told me that ๐ we have a cool game with content expaned by the seasons. such a policy makes long-term sense and builds up the community. so now we would like more @LottaLava do you agree? ๐
-
I'm sorry but these theories are so much infantile that they're not even funny. brands are taken over to expand investor's portfolio because with a wide spoon you take more of the cake. besides this current PCARS3 project came before SMS was taken over by Codemasters. Paul Rustchynsky is known for designing games of a similar character and complaints should be addressed to him. Seriously, I have the impression that I read in one of your post that you haven't played PCARS3 yet and you still have a lot of games before you do it ๐

there are some specific questions regarding functionality and at least in these situations people delegated to support this part of the community should speak up. see at Milestone advice, Collisions off option, G329 and I was asking about online stats refresh problems. nice if there is also some position in discussions such as split-screen or opportunities for further support. no one reacts here, so I start calling people active in other departments and there is no malice in it
-
because GRiD is a polished game, I love it ๐ it just needs further support in the form of subsequent seasons to rebuild community support ๐ CodeMasters, can you hear me?
-
it has been written many times that the GRiD has great gameplay but needs split-screen support and further DLC expansions. I hope that the gentlemens delegated to contact with the GRiD community will start again post some feedback ๐ no answers whatsoever looks terrible @Hoo @CMTGK @ChrisGrovesMCM @PJTierney @BarryBL

the images posted by @MDGourley give real hope ๐ I read his opinion and got the impression that the game is a lot of fun. let's be patient ๐ we'll see what the updates bring

GRID - Mode/Feature/Content Suggestions
minetti replied to ChrisGrovesMCM's topic in General Discussion
no, it's not nostalgia or the lack of internet. people like to play at the console together with family or friends and often look for titles in which they can play on one screen at the same time. so don't pretend that you just came back from the moon ๐ the new version of F1 2020 already has the split-screen demanded by the community. Dirt 5 also has a split and there is even some leaks that there will be an option for four players, it would be a hit-game for friends & family home parties. these screenshots show that the game is technically based on the same framework, so the only obstacle may be the decision by Codemasters to support such a solution. I think the GRiD is still a new game that is not yet a year old, so it will still be in the sales lists and is not a direct alternative to games like fancy Dirt 5. if it is possible to introduce a solution that will improve the sale of this title and it is enough to simply transplant it, why not do it? If there is a DLC pack with a new route and a few cars and adding a split-screen to the game, I will be happy to pay extra for such a solution ๐ -
well, someone wrote on the toilet doors - let's eat this brown, millions of flies can't be wrong ๐ wholesale ratings are not reliable reviews in my opinion, they are rather useful for marketing and sale. I prefer to rely on reviewers I know and I must admit they are critical https://www.ign.com/articles/2019/10/08/grid-review-5 https://www.ign.com/articles/project-cars-3-review there are many indications that the game doesn't deserve the new title so people felt ripped off it's a bit strange to shift the target to the casual client if you have such a large community supporting this series. I personally think that simplifying the driving model is not so bad in the context of opening up to sunday players, if at the same time it does not cut off the more advanced players and sim fans. judging by what I am reading, the changes have gone too far here or unfortunately in one direction ๐ also both games draw heavily from their predecessors but the GRiD is at least more redesigned game and people are joking today that comparing with the new PCARS3, the GRiD remake looks really nice ๐
-
Agree, currently it's my favorite game of first choice for every spare moment and between playing more epic titles ๐ Default setting of gamepad controler are good to learn because they are quite sensibly selected. But when it's time to experiment I recommend try to use sensitivity option around 90 and linearity about 3 and also set pad controler deadzones at 5 (from default 20). Also transmission should be set to Semi Automatic to attack by manual reduction on some occasions. Such settings guarantee a completely better level of gameplay ๐
-
well, both games draw heavily from their predecessors but the GRiD is at least more redesigned game. unfortunately the simplified fast racing formula without a career was too much of a surprise. seasons have improved a content but it was too late i think. however, you can see that graphically the GRiD was not at all backward, as was sometimes suggested comparing to Autosport, and what's more, it did not have such technical problems, it is a rather problem-free title on consoles and PCs. also the same as in PCARS3 the focus was on the driving model and the new GRiD has one of the best at the moment for gamepad and wheel, when PCARS has been moved from the steering wheel experienced user to the arcade gamepad casual players and it was met with a wave of discontent in some of the PCARS2 community, though it doesn't seem like such a bad move. unfortunately the content is largely simply copied from PCARS2 and selling it as an brand new AAA game is controversial. maybe that is why in reliable reviewers the GRiD received strong 8 where PCARS3 was rated weak 6 https://www.ign.com/articles/2019/10/08/grid-review-5 https://www.ign.com/articles/project-cars-3-review I would not have blamed Codemasters here because, from what you can read, the current PCARS3 project was born in SMS before the studio was taken over. the game looks like the designer assumed it https://twinfinite.net/2020/06/project-cars-3-driveclub/ I was very happy that Dirt 5 looks like the GRiD clone project with different content and other activities. the GRiD driving model is great and I have a lot of fun playing it. if this title simply extends the content of such a simple jump&race formula to include fancy rally races, I am very happy for it and I'm already collecting money to buy it soon ๐

excluding driving model, the game it's done more like the PCARS2 style and there is huge community, should be fine Then, of course, thereโs the online multiplayer, which was a ghost town at review stage but should give sim fans some close racing at last. But what is interesting is that besides the lobby-hopping Quick Race and the ability to set up your own game, thereโs also a third, pretty straight facsimile of Gran Turismo Sportโs online setup, whereby you must register for an event that takes place at a set time, then qualify for it to determine your starting position. https://www.gamesradar.com/project-cars-3-review/ after years of complaining the Autosport is one of the most-chosen games on mobiles so let's be patient because fate is unknown ๐ I say so, Ned

stunning pictures ๐ love to watch those wide angle shots

opening up to gamepad players through a friendlier driving model is not a bad decision. it will work in the long run imho. the game does not look bad but these changes apart from the driving model are a bit too little to call it a new game in the top class AAA. we'll wait, we'll see
-
thank you, such an user opinion will be very useful to me and the other readers. I readed that the driving model is much more friendly and that was appreciated by many gamepad players. I also heard the game has some technical issues. is it true that the PCARS3 suffers from frame drops and some graphical artifacts? I didn't plan to buy it at the moment because I have a lot of fun with the GRiD right now but your images are really endearing. I'm sure they will convince many people to try. Best regards and I wish you a lot of fun with this new game ๐

rather, you were invited to have an espresso and a cappuccino was served. so you decided that now you would go from house to house and persuade people that they should hate this cheating bar, great. well, this coffee tastes good to me and I will repeat that I had a great cappuccino there, although I was expecting something different. when it comes to the PCARS3, a lot has changed in the driving model, which is now more affordable for casual gamepad players, that's what I've heard. contrary to PCARS2 community opinions, this change is not bad at all and the gameplay is nice though it gets a bit boring after a long while. the biggest problems are technical such as fps drops and problems with some kind artifacts and sometimes poor quality of the environment. many people hope that these problems will disappear with huge update comming soon but they also add can't recommend buying it right now. they also mention that the driving model is pleasantly arcade simple and reminiscent of what was good in the DriveClub or NFS Shift. the more interesting thing is that the title was priced like games from the AAA group, which raises a lot of controversy in feedback after the premiere. with the naked eye you can see that a lot has been invested in promotion because there is a wave of marketing (news, reviews, youtubers, opinions). however, if you look well, there is more and more information that the whole content is heavily based on PCARS2 and basically only expanded (about +22 cars and drop of the tracks location list form 63 down to 51 but with some new like Toscana and Shanghai), adjusting the driving model to be more accessible. I honestly didn't expect it to be that similar and I have mixed feelings when promoting it as a new AAA title
-
you are doing a great job presenting these screenshots ๐ when I look at them I fight myself because I am not convinced of this game ๐
-
you have to go to the other side of the mirror and look at what you have achieved by building a demanding hate attitude. if the son you love will go his way despite a million life advice that he ignores, will you persuade people to hate him? or maybe you will support him and look for positives in his new way and decisions? you don't have to contradict yourself and always like it. just be honest but patient and understanding and try to be helpful, but most of all enjoy your life and don't waste time on toxic emotions I understand the disappointment, marketing is at fault because inflated the expectations using the iconic game title and everyone expected something similar. however, we got a new game that was some kind inspired by the icon. this game has a new, simpler formula and less content but a wonderfully designed driving model and many beautiful cars with unique characteristics and quite a lot of possibilities to adjust driving options hidden into a somewhat clunky menu. so we should be happy because in car games it does not happen so often ๐ that's why i loved this game

GRID - Mode/Feature/Content Suggestions

but I'd be glad to pay if that would help. I work and earn money, I can understand that you have to pay people for a certain job. if the case requires it, I will pay for such a supplement. I think that not only I would be happy to play with my friends or my son, so let's not do a drama. people pay for a sword or a theme on the phone, and you wonder if it's worth it? yes, this feature is worth a surcharge if needed the feedback whether such update should be paid, better be left to the market and I think that this is why marketing people have heads to think about character of moves like that. most IMPORTANT, we really NEED this split option - we gamers who bought and loved to play this game, infecting our friends a joy of gameplay with Codemasters products -
dudes, but no one is forcing you to buy these games and you can spend money where the products suit your tastes better. as the experts you can even form a dev studio and produce the games you dream about. in fact, these offensive texts that you throw in are in no way substantive criticism that should support the development of the titles you are fans of. on the contrary, they destroy sales and dev support because are in no way an honest reviews. maybe someone wants it, maybe even someone pays for it. I don't want to wonder why you care about hating so much, let everyone judge it for themselves. I do not want to think about it because every normal person, if he is not satisfied with the food, changes the restaurant. and if the favorite restaurant change the menu, just culturally expresses his opinion about new dishes and continues or goes away wishing good luck. that's how I was taught I think the moderator should have some calming pills, if you feel the need

I would be more reserved in the assessment of the Southam team because in my opinion it is one of the most talented in CM portfolio. they did the best asphalt tracks driving model imho, far better than the one in Dirt 2.0 where the asphalt is completely broken, fortunately all the fun in rallying is not on the asphalt road. What's more, the driving model in the Grid game perfectly balances between sim and arcade and gives a lot of fun on the gamepad, and even more on the steering wheel. the core of the track racing gameplay is wonderfully designed imho. graphics? ok the trees are faint but in most car games this detail is poor. textures? ok they were better at autosport but I don't see much difference when I rush on the tracks or streets, and the cars please my eyes and ears so I'm really happy. the gameplay is really successful and draws you into the dominoes of the competition. seasons brought a lot of additional content, so I don't regret spending on Ultimate. of course, there could be more locations because at some point you feel that they are repeated but there are many track variants so there is no drama. I would also be happy if there were new locations, but in order for it to be so, it is not worth hating this product, but supporting the project and the authors. unfortunately the opposite happened ๐ I understand a bit that the old grid fans and community had different expectations, so when the veil fell, all the simplifications were treated as profanation, so the hate spiral in the comments started. but all those negatives repeated on the Internet like echo are not a real evaluation of a very well-designed game that pleases. they are an assessment of disappointed expectations because the old community was prepared by the marketing guys and the iconic title to revive the iconic steed, and when the curtains fell, a colt appeared. The sale was therefore destroyed by the negative feedback of such CM moves and, as a result, fell out of the plans for further DLC support. it's sad because the game is really great. I play it a lot myself and I look at the opinions of people who drive a lot of games of this type, invest in expensive steering wheels and accessories, and often race in real terms because their passion is cars. they usually use the Grid as a curiosity and express themselves in superlatives about the driving experience. obviously the Grid game doesn't compete with ACC and doesn't try to be like GT. it just gives you a lot of fun in different touring car groups and others like Formula Jedi or the F1 Renault R26 - they really managed to reflect the difference in driving these vehicles and toss this very colorful pebble into the basket with The Grid name, big thanks Southam team. unfortunately, the marketing failed to inform what players should expect. maybe the game should have been called differently, maybe the Grid:Go or something that would indicate a lighter formula and contentthe. certainly, more information should appear earlier on what players can expect and in what direction the changes are going. then there would not be all this disappointment and hate because the game has to offer its advantages, which I wrote about earlier, and the content can always be developed. unfortunately, the bad ground was also prepared by the heavily cut Dirt 2.0, where winter appears in paid add-ons. such a policy did not appeal to the gamers and that's why next cutting the Grid's content for the seasons was also badly received at the start, especially when the standard content was little and much less than in the previous parts. the community that often resembles a gang of offensive elementary school kids has also failed. instead of supporting the project and looking for positives, they started to ridicule and make negative comparisons often in a malicious tone. we live in such times that the quality of the product is not more important than the so-called whispered marketing, therefore community feedback is extremely important because it is able stop people buying, basis of building up doubts to block sales despite the product being well done. I'm glad that CM closed the three seasons as it was promised and announced, because the game gained a lot of content, although I would still like more routes, cars and seasons and such additions as split-screen. the Trueforce update it is a positive swallow towards players, hopefully maybe not the last one ๐ I am glad that the Dirt 5 will be based on the Grid template because I will treat it as fancy rally DLC and probably buy it to see if it will give you as much fun back to the PCARS3 which is often compared with NFS Shift, it is no coincidence that it resembles DriveClub https://twinfinite.net/2020/06/project-cars-3-driveclub/ browsing a lot of reviews about this game. fans od PCARS2 are naturally disappointed but sunday arcade players should be satisfied. however, they are not because the game is heavily underdeveloped, and graphically it is far behind the Grid. apart from reviews, I follow the comments of a few people who have a positive attitude to this title, but after the purchase, unfortunately, they start to write in a negative tone, even though they like the changes. a lot of people are counting on patch updates but overall, the feedback curve is very negative, despite the large marketing campaign accompanying this premiere. I will rather skip this title and recommend pay more attention to the GRiD ๐
-
besides, races you don't finish don't count so you don't really know what real distance you actually ran in game. there should be a two whole distance counters and a time for hours spent in the game. the statistics are also annoying because when you want to compare your times, the script does not remember the settings and you have to set all search form again and again when you guess what variant of the track you are looking. if at least in the settings it displayed the map of the I am looking for. since they decided to share statistic section and promote logging in to RaceNet in each of their games, it was necessary to do it much better

nice shots, like it
