Fast lap times are not loading (table remains empty)
Sir_Overtakesalot replied to vTeritron's topic in F1 Chat
I'm on ps4 and I still encounter issues with TT. Sometimes when I enter and choose a car, I'll view the Leaderboard of a track before I enter the track to hotlap. What happens is no times load and I'm stuck with a downloading content message that never goes away. If I then exit the Leaderboard screen and try to enter a track, I'm met with a loading please wait screen that also doesn't go away. I'm then forced to restart my game as there is no other option. This has been an ongoing issue for months. It won't be fixed because if it hasn't been by now, they don't know how to or just don't care. It's been happening alot lately. -
So here's a screenshot for everyone of the remaining Weekly Events up until April. As you will see, we won't be getting a Featured Event for over 3 months. So if you're like me and enjoy the Featured Events... join me in giving CM a huge thumbs down on failing to provide a fair balance of Events. This list is directly from the PDF rulebook from F1 Esports. I can confirm up until now, each Event shown has taken place as dated and this list is accurate.

Ranked Not matching after S Safety Rating
Sir_Overtakesalot replied to Tangarnachas's topic in F1 Chat
Crash into more people lol. Ranked lobbies are mostly bumper cars so the reason you can't get matched is because the majority of players in ranked lobbies have no clue what "clean racing" means and they All have horrible safety ratings. All they know is... I have to get in front of this person and I'll do anything to accomplish it, even punting from behind. Unfortunately for you, you have an S rating. That is good though, you should be proud. Having said that, you don't belong in the ranked lobbies as you seem to understand the concept of clean racing. Stick to leagues that also follow that mantra. Ranked lobbies are a joke and a waste of time -
So I have a question I need an answer to. If I purposely qualify on softs to get around P10 or P11 so I can start on Mediums, are the Mediums then brand new at the start of the race? Or will the tyre wear from qualifying on the softs carry over in some unrealistic way to the Mediums that i didnt use? Does anyone know definitively? Thanks
-
I agree. It would be nice to use your favorite car and not get obliterated. I enjoy using the Williams in MP. As someone who races against the 110 AI, I'm forced to use a Merc to make sure I'm getting max performance.
-
The 110 AI is too slow at certain tracks is my only negative. I did a 50% race at Singapore which I qualified 3rd with Mediums and ended up winning the race by over 40 seconds. I'm fast but I'm far from the fastest on the game. It shouldn't be that easy to win. They 2 stopped when 1 stop is all that's necessary.... had they qualified on Mediums. They brake wayyyyy too early as well.
-
Was just wondering if anybody could tell me if there is a way to get more than 1 medium tire for a short qualifying session. It seems that 1 is all you get. Can anyone confirm this. 50% Singapore is coming up and Medium to Hard seems to be the most practical strategy.

Qualifying on Mediums ( league race question )
Sir_Overtakesalot replied to Sir_Overtakesalot's topic in F1 Chat
Ok I thought so. Thanks for the reply. I'll have to make the 1st lap count -
I agree completely. At the tail end of F1 2019, I started exploring with no assists. I was a regular when it came to TC medium and Anti lock brakes on. I couldn't imagine driving without them. When I bought 2020, I made the decision to never turn assists on from day 1. It was the best decision I ever made.... in terms of gaming. Eventually you'll figure out how to get faster. With time and practice comes success. I still play F1 2019 Featured Events. I can now also drive there very well with no Assists. I've actually won 2 events. The most recent was the Canada featured event. The German Event that just passed, I placed P2. I guess my point is, as hard as it seems right now to get your lap times back closer, or even better than your pad times. You WILL get there. Don't get discouraged. Put in the Time and you'll see results.

Changes have been made to reduce the chance of being disconnected from a game session. Hard to believe this is true. Today I got disconnected twice from my league lobby pre-qualifying, then also got disconnected from my league race today twice. Causing me to drop 3 positions. I was one of the few with no penalties too. My internet was strong and had no issues. It was that terrific Error Code CP7. "This session no longer exists" happened to me during the Brazil Weekly Event race too. Lap 10 and tada! Disconnected, even though my internet was fine and strong. Kinda reminds me of when CM said they were working on fixing the cheat/exploit scores in the Weekly Events. Months later and it's still happening. I brought up the fact that these Weekly Events count towards qualifying for the F1 Esports Series 2021. The winner receives an invitation to compete in the Time Trial route. I asked a very clear and precise question that I know a few of us are still waiting on an answer about. Does F1 Esports know that there are fraudulent scores on the Weekly Event Leaderboard. Specifically Brazil, last week on Ps4. Is this person in 1st with a clear and obvious cheat/glitch score being offered that spot? If I was somebody else, would you answer this question? If this was a post praising you, would you reply? This is a serious issue and once again.. silence. Players want to know if F1 Esports are offering 1st place players a spot without verifying their score is legit. And I'm talking about the players in 1st who use all assists and sometimes don't have a qualy time, yet somehow win the event by 200,000 points. It's a joke

Wasn't online supposed to get better with Patch 1.13?
Sir_Overtakesalot replied to Sir_Overtakesalot's topic in F1 Chat
Ok, you still fail to recognize the issue about the F1 Esports qualifying and the Weekly Events. @BarryBL this is the issue I'd like you to address please. -
Wasn't online supposed to get better with Patch 1.13?
Sir_Overtakesalot replied to Sir_Overtakesalot's topic in F1 Chat
So we have a worldwide assumption that everybody that gets disconnected has poor internet. 90% to be exact. Factually impossible to actually know, but I digress. Then we have a CM employee liking that comment. ( the CM employee has now unliked that comment ) fascinating. But when a real issue is brought to their attention like this.. It gets about as much attention as a penny laying on the ground on Hollywood Blvd. -

Sir_Overtakesalot replied to Sir_Overtakesalot's topic in F1 Chat
Gee, forgive me if I'm paying money to play your game online and being critical of incredibly poor service. I'd love your thoughts on this as well. -
Codemasters, why do you have mode called "Ranked" when you have no control over blatant cheating on those lobbies.
Sir_Overtakesalot replied to MatrimC's topic in F1 Chat
The best thing to do with the ranked lobbies is do your 5 races, get the achieve a rank trophy and never go back. It's a complete mess. I unfortunately entered the ranked lobbies when the game was first released... you know, when it was far from actually being finished. Kind of like giving you your pizza you payed for before it's even been put it the oven. I was so lucky to have 3 of my 5 races be covered up by the communicating with online services screen issue. Couldn't see anything and had no choice but to either crash or let the AI take over.....and crash. It was super fun. One of the races I did get to actually see, I was taken out at Baku and when I got to the pits to change my wing, my pit crew didn't come out of the garage and my car left the same way I entered the pits. I have it recorded. It's some of CM finest work. The problem with ranked is everything. It's like entering a demolition derby and trying not to get hit. At some point, you're getting hit and the person who does it, if done properly benefits while you drop back and suffer a rating drop. Or if they're real good at it, you're terminally damaged and your race is over, and nothing happens to them. CM do us all a favor and don't make us go through the disaster that is ranked to achieve a trophy in the next game. It's almost as bad as the Weekly Event GP's, when the slower people don't pit and if you're unfortunate to come out of the pits behind one of them, you not only get held up, but your race is also ruined because the main chunk of points are for how fast you complete the race. You pretty much have to pull a pit stop gap on P2 if you want to score well and not worry about your race being a write off. Or you can just score well by benefiting from those lovely glitched scores that end up being 200,000 points more than some of the fastest players online. But you don't like to talk about that so I'd best not mention that. It's not like P1 in a Weekly Event gets an invite to participate in the Time Trial route of the F1 Esports Series 2021 or anything. We wouldn't want to remove those scores from the Leaderboard before the event ends so the rightful individual gets what they earned. That would just make way too much sense to do. And probably take a long time... a couple minutes I'm guessing. LOL to the predictable thumbs down -
So after just completing my best run, also with my new fastest lap, I beat my old time by almost a full second. I was pumped. I go to the results screen to confirm and I check the incident page as I always do out of habit. Wasn't I surprised to see I exceeded track limits on lap 53. Not once did any warnings pop up AT ALL and I have the complete run recorded to prove it. I immediately watched lap 53 back and not a single warning showed on my screen. There were no fastest laps set nor were there any mechanical failures that would have shown up and possibly explained that it may have just got blocked out by another warning. There simply was no exceeding track limits on lap 53. Yes I was on the edge, but you have to be if you're trying your hardest. I have put so much of my time into achieving what I just did and now I'm officially getting screwed by the game. Currently I'm in P50 out of 11,183 on Ps4. My score as of now is 766,425. My score right now had I not just got screwed should be a mid 767, maybe even a low 768. Talk about demoralizing. @CMTGK @PJTierney @ChrisGrovesMCM @BarryBL Is there something you can do about this? Maybe I can send an email with the recorded run so you can see for yourselves that I did not get a track limits warning on any lap, let alone lap 53. I think what is right is to review it, and when you see with your own eyes I am telling the truth, to calculate my score and place me in the correct position on the Leaderboard. I set a goal to make the top 100 as I missed out by 6 spots in the Italy Event. P106 there. This could have been my best run I had in me and now it's all for nothing due to what can only be described as a glitch on your end. Ive been trying to better my score for over a week. I will also be contacting support@F1Esports.com and notifying them of what just happened. I have been speaking with a team member from the F1 Esports team regarding my qualifying for the 2021 Series. I was confirmed today to have made it into the time trial route. I will be contacting them directly and notifying them that this has happened. This really needs to be corrected. It does not put me in the top 8 or top 10 but that's not the point. The point is it should be fair and I deserve to be given the score I worked so hard to get. Anybody that works hard to do well in these Events knows how big of a gut punch this truly is. Update* just bettered my score to 767,032. This is still not better than my contested run. I was slower by 6 tenths on this run. That's 600 points from the overall time I'm missing out on plus the extra 91 from my fastest lap. 1:33.510 in the contested one and 33.601 in this one I just did to better my score. Not to mention the additional points that would have been added onto both the assists bonus as well as difficulty bonus. (Probably another 100 There between the 2) I'm still in P50 but had my previous run not get screwed, I believe viewing the Leaderboard right now, I would be P46 or definitely no higher than P47. Could have even been P44 or 45. Update 2* Turns out I did have a better run in me. I just beat my contested run by 4 tenths overall and matched my fastest lap with a 33.5. I went from P50 to P43 with a score of 768,290. Codemasters, please disregard my request to have my contested score reviewed and placed on the Leaderboard. This run I have just completed was better. I do still think an investigation into this issue that took place should be done. If there is any information I can provide to assist you, please let me know. I will also send another Email to the F1 Esports team and let them know the same.

Weekly Events and the 2021 F1 Esports qualifying series ( I guess I should add that a response from CM about this is expected...)
Sir_Overtakesalot posted a topic in F1 Chat
Some of you may not know that the top 5 players from each Weekly Event get contacted by the F1 Esports team and are offered a place in the time trial route of the F1 Esports Series 2021. It goes directly to the 1st place individual. If they fail to reply within a certain time frame it then goes to the 2nd place and so on until 1 out of the 5 replies and confirms they would like to take part. I myself have received 4 messages from The F1 Esports team. One of which I will place a screenshot of below so you can understand the importance of what I'm about to write. Currently in the Brazil event we have P1 and P2 with no qualy time and absolutely obserd scores. Anybody with a half working brain can look at them and realize they are not possible unless a glitch/cheat took place. Now it's obvious that you don't have a plan or policy in place to keep this from happening because I've been on you guys for months to stop it and you haven't done anything. ZERO. It's still happening. Now that we have these events counting towards getting a qualifying spot in the F1 Esports Series 2021, have you notified the F1 Esports team that there will be scores on the Leaderboard that are not legit? Have you designated a staff member with knowledge of what the scores should be to notify the F1 Esports team of these obvious fraudulent scores so they do not offer a spot in the F1 Esports Series to an individual who does not deserve it? This is not the first event that has counted towards the F1 Esports Series Qualifying that has had fraudulent scores. There's 32 in all that will be counted. So 32 individuals will be able to take place in the Time Trial route of the F1 Esports Series 2021. How many of these 32 will be these individuals with obserd scores with no qualy times? @BarryBL -

That's me. I'm usually in the top 10 by the end of an event. The one I'm most proud of was the featured event at Zandvoort. I got P6. There were some heavy hitters in that one. It actually got me an invite to join a competitive league, which I did. -

@Mikulitsi Yea you guys are quick. I see you on the Leaderboards often. I'm The_IckleBickle. I unfortunately had some issues trying to compete in Brazil. Twice I was not able to join a race due to "no suitable match found" and when I finally got into a race, I was 20 seconds up on P2 on lap 10 and I got booted and it said this session no longer exists. I tried again later Sunday only to get booted from the lobby with 10 seconds remaining on the countdown. Again I was told "this session no longer exists". I'm not wasting my time with Spain this week. I'm slowly getting turned off the Weekly GP's. Between the fraudulent scores and the online issues, it's not worth putting in time to basically get nowhere on the weekend. I really enjoy Featured Events much more now. -

I informed the Esports team when I sent them an email. Russia had it too. I haven't heard anything back yet. I also let them know that the Events with rain are not fair to each player as it rains at different times during every race. Japan for example, I had inters on the whole race where the guy who won, had a race where he pitted for softs on lap 5. I actually had a conversation with him and he confirmed this. He was a nice guy, he even admitted he was lucky to get a race with very little rain. I let them know that. Those events don't reflect the top 5 fastest players. They reflect the players who were lucky enough to get a race with the least amount of rain. There's so much wrong with the way this is run... but not surprised. -
Omline Services Login Error
Sir_Overtakesalot replied to dkbryan77's topic in Systems and Connectivity TA
Same for me on PS4. Error Code 12. There must be an issue with CM servers. I'm sure once they wake up they'll take care of it... assuming it's not an apocalyptic problem. I've gotten the Error and then it went away, and I was able to connect to the online services again, but after a short time it booted me out again and back to the Error Code 12. I have no problem signing into PlayStation Network and my internet is fine and has been throughout this problem. -
No problemo

8th gear, flat out. Take lots of kerb on the left hander before the uphill right hander. No jerky motions. I've taken it flat out in 8th using overtake from after turn 1. My poor driver almost S#!T himself lol.
