Hi all, I was wondering if anybody here can give me a ballpark figure of what my Assist Bonus should have been for last weeks Spa Event. Anybody that took part in the event that didn't use Assists. I used none. If you remember what it was and can tell me that would be much appreciated. In the past they've ranged from 20,000 points to near 40,000 points. Even if you used Assists and you know, that will also be helpful to help me determine a ballpark number it should be around. There was a bug in the Event that caused a number of players to unfortunately lose out on points and not get a complete score. After finishing P5 in the previous weeks Event, this bug caused me to finish in P144. So I'd like to know where I should have finished around. I did 2 races and I was given 0 points for Assist Bonus in both. I have completed a bug report on this and am hoping it will get looked at. In the mean time if someone here can help add some insight, that would be great. Thanks Platform is PS4

Save a ton of money and build one. I built the one you see in the pics in a day. Went to the local wreckers, bought a seat out of a Chevy Cruz sport model. 80 bucks. Bought some wood and screws and paint. Another 125 bucks roughly. The rest is your own labour and the pleasure of creating your own rig. If you can cut wood and put a screw in said wood, you should have no problem figuring the rest out. The reason why I built my own was not only the cost saving. I did alot of research and found a few things that could be problematic. 1. Lack of adjustment for the wheel and seat leaving you in an uncomfortable position. After all, we are all different sizes. 2. Instability. I've seen alot of rigs that move. When you're battling for the lead in a hectic race, the last thing you need is the wheel swaying back and forth in your grip. 3. As some pointed out in this thread, the bar that is in between your legs on a playseat for example. That can just straight up be annoying, especially if you have the G29 or 920 pedals. They are close together. If your pedals are further apart then it may be no issue at all. Building my own rig gave me the freedom to put my Wheel exactly where I wanted it and also my pedals exactly where I wanted them. The seat I have also adjusts every which way you can think of. The key is to get a seat that when taken out of the car will sit level on the ground. This makes for easy installation onto the wood base. The only thing I had to do was cut a few little notches out for some metal that stuck slightly lower than the seat slider rails. Other than that it was a straight bolt on to the 2×6. I can drop kick my rig and it won't move. It's solid. By building my own rig, I eliminated all potential issues that could arise and I am glad I did. The shifter was for Assetto Corsa. I almost had a brain aneurysm getting that Platinum Trophy. If I've peaked your interest on building one. We're offering potential solutions. Not discussing. If what one of us said fixes it, then there is no need to waste CM time. They have LOTS on their plate to fix

@Ultra3142 Thanks for showing me. The people who do stuff like this are the same people who will see an elderly woman drop her groceries and just walk on by without helping. That is exactly what Monaco looked like so you're right. It had to be this cheat

I have integrity and morals so it's strictly for informational purposes for me. These people who cheat are only fooling themselves. Lots of fools around in 2020.

I'm not familiar with that. What I witnessed was after turn 1 at Monaco, the car took off like a rocket. It was slow around corners but on the straights it was like Fast and Furious when the NOS kicks in.. as fake as that was I should add. Whatever it is, people have figured out how to cheat. How does the FB trick work?

They're on all Platforms. If people can buy it, they can figure out how to cheat on it

I'm not sure if you use a wheel or a controller. It could just be that you haven't designated a button for the clutch. When using manual gears and at the start of a race, you have to engage the clutch and hold it while finding the optimal revs. If you are just revving without the clutch engaged then the problem that you described will happen every time. I have a wheel so my right paddle is my clutch. I hold it and upon the 5 lights going out I release and launch. It could be as simple a fix as that. If you already do these things and it's a bug, disregard my comment.

None of the times other than yours that I can see are legit. I've witnessed a ghost at Monaco that had a speed boost on the straights. I'm on PS4 so there is some kind of speed boost cheat available to players on the PS4 Platform. 17.6 is where the 1st real time is around. Anything under is fudged by a cheat. Especially when it's seconds.

1. A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here. After completing my first race in this weeks Weekly Event, I received 0 points for Assist bonus. I use no assists other than pit assist which does not impact the Assist score anyway. I raced a second time and bettered my score by a little over a thousand points but again I received 0 points for Assist Bonus. There is no point in doing any more races as it is clear it is a waste of time and I will not receive the points I am supposed to. 2. Platform PS4 3. What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) 1.08 4. Game-mode? Weekly Event GP 5. What are your replication numbers? Minimum test attempts are 4. Please also add EXACT replication steps for us to try too. I've replicated this twice, both times I received 0 points for Assist Bonus. Complete the Weekly Event GP at Spa and you will either get Assist points or not. I know of at least 1 other player who also received 0 points for Assist Bonus. 6. What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue I cannot fix the issue, it's a glitch in the event 7. What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc) Logitech G29 wheel and pedal set 8. Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears. The screenshots I've provided are the scores from both my races showing 0 points awarded for Assist Bonus. The other is a screenshot of my assist settings for the Spa Weekly Event showing what Assists I'm using, or not.... in this case. @BarryBL What I would like to have happen is for the staff at Codemasters to properly calculate my score by adding the missing Assist Bonus points that I should already have and to then place me on the leaderboard where I belong, ( using the higher of the 2 scores obviously ) and if this is done after the end of the event, I'd like the proper trophy manually sent to me in my mail with my proper position. I have no idea where I truly ended up and it was my first Belgian GP Event with your game in any year. I'd at least like to know what my score should have been. This has never happened to me in either 2019 or 2020. Please fix this. The Weekly Event is the only reason I play this game. Just wanted to add that I just finished up the Weekly Event at Silverstone in F1 2019 and had no issues receiving all the points there. So that tells me it's nothing to do with me and it's a bug in the Spa Event.

You cannot do a 1:12 at Monza.. PERIOD. It's not debatable.. it's called reality. Most don't live in it. You'd be hard pressed to do a high 16 legitimately. One of the top players on PS4 did a 17.7. So that tells me a high 16 is even very very unlikely. I'm pretty good and my best is a 18.4. I'm in the top 500 with that.

I'm on Ps4 too and after numerous patches, I still have this happening. Sometimes I'm forced to restart the game. I did a bug report on this a while back so don't get your hopes up that it will be fixed.

Ghosting should be implemented up until the end of Sector 1 at the beginning of a race in a Weekly Event. I watched back the replay of the race we were in and the 5th place guy divebombed me hard on turn 1 at Spa and caused me to lose P1 and get sent out wide into P5. I won the race still but that cost me 2 seconds on one lap.

I don't know what your talking abooot eh lol. If this Canadian had access, he'd fix it.

They either don't have the staffing capacity to deal with these types of things or they just don't care. Any one person with a functioning brain who plays this game can enter a TT Leaderboard and pinpoint which times are not possible. One staff member could probably bang this out in one 8 hour day. Sit at a desk and go one track at a time. A clear BS time.... deleted. Once all are satisfactory, re-visit this task every 2 weeks or so to stay on top of it.

@BarryBL I have done a bug report which you can find in the Tech section on this matter. It appears to be more than just not receiving the Assist Bonus points for some after completing the Spa GP. @Getts0388 has notified me that he is using TC and Anti lock brakes but it appears on the screen that he is using no assists. He also has received 0 points for assist bonus after completion of the races he has done. If anybody else has experienced this please comment below to notify CM. I would suggest to screenshot your score with 0 points for assist bonus so you can show the evidence. I want CM to manually add the missing points for all affected and manually send all affected players their trophys with the accurate position, as this will most likely be dealt with Monday or later after the Event ends. As CM are the ones who design the point system calculation, it shouldn't be an issue to add the accurate points that are missing. It's disheartening to practice all week for an Event, then deliver on race day only to be denied points due to a bug.

@BarryBL It is incredibly frustrating to have the AI puttering around the track on their outlap while using the racing line. We get 3 or 4 shots to put in our best lap. This happened to me during Belgian Qualifying on my 3rd and final lap. I was up over 2 tenths just after the 1st sector and coming up to a turn, the AI that was on an outlap and slowly driving, took the racing line while going into the corner forcing me to go inside of them and causing me to completely mess up the turn and invalidate. I would have been easily in the top 10 right now. They were not on a flying lap as I caught them in no time and the AI was set to 103 for Quali. They were nowhere in sight after turn 1. I saw them on the 1st long DRS straight and knew it was going to be a problem. My suggestion is to simply ghost the AI cars altogether, so this doesn't happen to anybody ever again. The lapped cars, both AI and players during the races are ghosted so there is no reason CM cannot ghost the AI during qualifying for the Weekly Event. This would make alot of people happy and solve a ridiculous problem

Codemasters.. I informed you of a cheater yesterday that was P1 on the Weekly Event Leaderboard. I have turned my PS4 on to find you have removed the individual from the Leaderboard today.... AFTER the Event has already ended. Apparently this is incredibly difficult to understand but in order to actually have what you're doing be effective.. You need to REMOVE THEM BEFORE THE EVENT IS OVER. The individual you removed is still listed as number 1 in the previous weeks results. It is SO INCREDIBLY POINTLESS to remove someone AFTER the Event ends. Keep up the phenomenal work 👎

The same people can not help themselves, they are attracted to my posts and will comment against what I write regardless of what I write about. It doesn't bother me. I expect it. My title is very accurate about the subject I wrote about as well. "Where is the logic to this." So upon viewing the title you'll be expecting a post explaining something illogical which I did do. Say I act like a newb etc... I could care less. Im getting my point across and the point is it's a joke that they remove people after the Event is over. If these people weren't looking for confrontation, they would simply ignore me but they like ganging up on me. And going out of their way to read my posts and comment on them. They all know what's coming when I write a post. Their first instinct is to disagree with it somehow. They don't need to open it and can simply ignore me through their settings. They are nothing but nats flying around my head

This pertains to Weekly Events. Not TT It's an ******* thing to do to take up spots on the Leaderboard using another account when you're already in 1st. This guy on PS4 is now in 2nd and 3rd. (Should be 1st and 2nd) because 1st is a cheater. After his 2nd score I'm wondering about this guy now. I've seen his YouTube vids and he uses the racing line in corners.. now why would you need that I wonder..?

I'll be the first to say there are ALOT of people quicker then me. This has to do with assists and me not respecting players who use them while competing. You can go on and on and on and on and on and on about whatever your little heart desires. Your vast knowledge and wisdom of everything is probably needed elsewhere though.

It's like this whether you agree or don't. Us hardcore gamers do not respect Assist users when it comes to competing. I used to think differently, I used Assists and after seeing a YouTube Video where a guy did the 3rd fastest lap and claimed to have the World Record because the 1st 2 used Assists, I thought he was crazy. But now that I'm Assist free, I completely understand where he's coming from. He disregarded the top 2 times because they were Assisted in getting those times. And I fully agree with him. If you're Just a casual gamer then this topic may not be the best for you in terms of understanding where I'm coming from. Oh, I forgot to add... let's see how many thumbs down we can get on this comment too.
