I'm planning to upgrade to a Fanatec, so I've done a little checking. I found this: https://forum.fanatec.com/discussion/843/f1-2019-pc-fanatec-recommended-settings Good starting point, then tweak as desired. š

It could even be done like the Pit Strategy page (HINT HINT CODIES) where you can "Add Pitstop" and change the lap on which you stop. Start Corner End Corner Mode 1 2 3 2 5 0 5 6 1 And just "Add Programme" to create each, selecting the start and end corner, and the mode to use there.

And if Monaco has a connection like Canada has, it's ALL going through one big (kinda) hub. -

This actually makes a lot of sense. EVERYONE is home right now, and he lives in a place with a fair number of people using the same internet main access. Add the rest of the surrounding countries and his internet could be taking an absolute s***-kicking. Seems to me, the rest of the competitors are in the UK? Not sure on that one. -
This is a really good idea. In my case, we would have both slowed down for 5 seconds, then continued on our way - no gain for either, but a definite deterrent, as the other person would also lose 5 seconds in the race. Hey, Codies, I'm just putting this here again in case you missed it the first time. š

Was this online with players, or behind an AI? I once played an online race in another game (forget the name). I was drafting behind another player. They spiked the brakes so that I hit them from behind (a blatantly illegal and dangerous move in real life) and I get a 5 second time penalty. I immediately left the race, quit the game, and uninstalled it. If the penalty system penalizes the wrong person (and it does in many cases) then it has to be fixed, as this is the easiest way to cheat in racing games.

Exactly. I'm in the process of pricing (and saving for) a new Fanatec setup. But if this game gets any more casual, I might just stick with my G25. Yup. I'm still rockin a G25. No FFB whatsoever (super ugh) but it's a joy to use aside from that. What's the point of having the buttons in reach if you no longer need them? Let me go on record by saying that this would remove a HUGE amount of the FUN from this game. Easy to play and win games are NOT more fun. They're just easier to play and win.

GT6 had this option right in the menu for the hot-lapping section. "Save best lap replay" or something to that effect. Super fun to pull up an old save from a few years ago, then try to beat it.

Please let us make that decision for ourselves, and give us the option to "press to hold." Or, better yet, go back to what we have in 2019. It was closer to real life than just an old-school KERS button. As others have said, people upgraded to better sim setups (wheels) because of the number of controls required in an F1 car. Making the game easier for casual players is fine, but not if it takes away from the experience of the other players. I truly hope to see a much-upgraded form of ERS control in a future patch.

Indeed. But what's the deal? He has sim racing experience, and most likely knows the ins and outs of his pc and sim setup like the back of his hand. He also streams all the time, so obviously he has a decent internet connection. So why does he keep disconnecting? It almost does seem like some strange bug in the setup that, maybe, he can't seem to get a handle on. -
The answer is 6 posts before yours. Generally, in a thread that's over 20 pages, you'll find the answer you're looking for if you just start reading backwards. Almost guaranteed someone else will have had the same question!

Nice first post! Welcome to the crazy party. Don't worry. We're all mad here. š¤£

Yeah, the people who need it don't get it, and the people who already got it, don't need it. š

I like this.

Also keep in mind that people's voices do change. If the lines are recorded a year apart, it would actually be odd to sound exactly the same.

But if said members ask the same question that has been answered just 1 page earlier, it DOES make the Admins' job of culling the list of potential beta testers easier...

And if you're a super maths geek like myself, use the following equation: BA = 1/SA "Braking application is indirectly proportional to steering angle." 𤣠In other words, if you're braking 100%, your wheels better be dead straight. If you turn your wheels, you need to decrease the amount of braking accordingly. When accelerating, the exact same principle applies. Ease into the throttle as you straighten your wheels. But as Bicarda said, don't go above 60% throttle unless your steering wheel is straight. There's a LOT of torque a couple feet behind you.

Will We be able to create multiple drivers in F1 2020?
DrDraken replied to GeoMerlin's topic in General Discussion
Agreed. I created a second save with a different team, and then found out that you have to use the same avatar for both. Can we have a separate avatar for separate careers, please?- 1 reply

Teammate became faster in Career Mode ???
DrDraken replied to TheSerbian's topic in General Discussion
Nico Rosberg did something similar in Monaco. He went "too hot" down the hill toward Loews and had to take the run-off road, then backed onto the track, creating a yellow flag situation that caused Lewis to slow down and not take pole. Of course, it was accidental. 𤣠-
Indeed. Maybe a future patch? Hey, I can hope. š

I'm just hoping they give the option to make it Press-to-hold in addition to toggle. š

Removing the ability to change SOC modes during the race is a mistake, and a step away from the real thing. This is one of the reasons I'm planning to upgrade my wheel. Now I may not bother - except I'll need another button for the "overtake" toggle. Seriously, TOGGLE?! Please tell me it's not buried in the MFD. I can see it now. Reach blindly for D-pad on separate gear shift unit. Fumble until MFD appears, select Overtake Toggle, turn on, d-pad gets bumped and moves to another part of the MFD, leaving you with Overtake ON, frantically try to get back to Overtake, miss braking zone because you're now doing Mach 6... Please, please, please, make it possible to turn off "Toggle" and make it "Push to Go."

I think it would be nice if there were something in the game to commemorate Anthoine, but I don't think he should be in the lineup.

Also, considering the first lap of the 1990 Japanese Grand Prix, you're absolutely right!
