    I'm experiencing the same thing via Chrome on both my Mac (Catalina) and my Linux (Ubuntu 18.04.04). Usually I get about two minutes into the race before the left turn key stops working (it's always the left turn key specifically). I found that switching the key binding for the left turn does make it start working again (with the new key binding, at least).
