Couldnāt agree more... The lack of a āfree practiceā game mode - which features in every self-respecting racing title (be it game or sim) going back as far as the early 90ās at least - is just mind boggling. -

All very good suggestions & Iād love to see it happen. That said, Iāve got a theory as to why the replay system in this franchise is as barebones today as it was in 2010 - flashbacks (whether theyāre used or not). Have asked the question of the devs in the F1 chat section a few weeks back but didnāt get a single reply.... Make of that what you will, but in my mind the silence from āofficialdomā on the matter when other more trivial things (like the coloured stripe on the mercās halo) gets sent up the chain almost immediately suggests I may well be onto something because I sure as hell would be uncomfortable opening up a discussion about what I canāt or wonāt be able to implement. In any case, š¤š½ an overhaul of the replay system is on somebodyās to-do list because letās face it, the current one is pox & has been for the best part of the last decade š¤¦š½āāļø -

So I tried everything you suggested with the exception of GHub which was already installed & up to date. Same result though, the game always freezes without displaying any "warning: controller disconnected" message... On the plus side, The Ego dumper is accessible now after the crash so I don't have to reboot the PC Thanks for the help regardless -
I may be mistaken, but this is already halfway done - pretty sure in the car select screen for TT, the team badge for the car is your MyTeam badge?

Definitely not getting that "Warning: controller disconnected" msg - just the game freezing & then the Ego dumper crash dialog pops up when I try ALT+TAB out of the game. Miraculously, this time around I was able to send the crash report (but attached again here to be sure, to be sure). Dxdiag also attached. DxDiag.txt Ego crash.txt -

I get what you're saying... Could've sworn I'd seen DRS used on the straight between T2 & T3 on lap 3 in Melbourne before, but I guess my understanding of the rule is wrong - much like I was about that Shazaam movie. Racing @ Melbourne is what prompted my post.. Looking at the track map closely though: TIL that DRS detection points are numbered just like the zones are.... š¤¦š½āāļø Case closed šš½ -

Wondering if this just happens to me, as Iāve not seen anyone else taking about it.... A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here. DRS only activates from the 2nd DRS zone of the lap on lap 3. The same occur when DRS is allowed again 2 laps after a (full) safety car. Next lap, provided youāre still within 1s of the car ahead, it works as it it should (eg DRS is useable in the first DRS zone of the lap). Platform PC What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) 1.10 Game-mode? Any single-player game mode, during a race We need to be able to make your problem happen internally so we can fix the issue. Can you make the problem happen again? Yes. How do you make the problem happen? Start lap 3 of a race within 1s of the car ahead & enter the first DRS zone of the lap. DRS no workie What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue Not possible. What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc) Logitech G29 wheel & shifter Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears. Iāll make a video & upload it in a little while. -

This one is for the devs - I read another thread where it was suggested using the flashback feature to avoid corner cutting penalties & it got me thinking... Is the mere presence of the flashback feature in the game (whether itās enabled or not) the reason why replays are so short? And as a follow up to that - does the flashback feature also then limit the amount of useful functionality to the replay feature that can be implemented? For context, I ask because I am left absolutely by how VCR-esque the replays are & also by how little this particular function of the game has evolved over the years.

Oh yeah, more of the heli-cam too! Or better yet, just add a heli cam to the cameras (or replace the chase cam with it) so I can watch it whenever I want during replays

Wholeheartedly agree, & Iād also add the ability to jump to any lap would be more than welcome - because fast forwarding all the way to the arse end of a 100% race distance just so I can see an incident/overtake that was conveniently (or perhaps not) deemed by the game to be unworthy of the highlights package is just plain dumb. And while weāre on the topic of replays, itād be really great to have the ability to replay practice & qualifying sessions (if you wanna) after the fact, just like we can the race... For those times where Iāve channeled my inner Ayrton, delivering an absolutely stonkers lap in quali & the only reward i get from the game is a grossly underwhelming Jeff getting on the blower to give me his 2c + a cutscene of the car cruising back to the pits on an in lap I have a sneaking suspicion though that flashbacks are the reason the replay feature in these games never evolved past the functionality of a VCR from the late 90ās.... Have asked the question of the devs on the main forum, curious as to what they come back with on the topic, if anything!

All of that would be more than welcome of course, but Iād much prefer to see whatās already in the game (or has been before) fleshed out as far as it can possibly go. Throughout this franchise it just feels (to me) like the goal has only ever been to get something āgood enoughā with seemingly no real desire or ambition to make much of anything in the game(s) truly āgreatā.
