  1. Update: The shifter being in (any) gear was exactly the problem... And it is now infinitely replicated too - So while this bug is minor in comparison to others plaguing the game atm, it would be great to have it fixed. Having to employ workarounds for a product developed by “masters of code” as they claim to be, stopped being ironic years ago. @bobbythehuman thanks again for the help!
  2. A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here. See my long-winded post above Platform PC (but also experienced it on F1 2019 on PS4 - with the same wheel). What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) The latest & greatest, 1.08 Game-mode? Driver career & My team career We need to be able to make your problem happen internally so we can fix the issue. Can you make the problem happen again? The problem comes & goes without warning. Has occurred from the very start when I play the game, but it has also come out of nowhere after I’ve been playing a wheel (have had it spring up both when I restart a race or when I move to the next race when the previous race it was fine) How do you make the problem happen? I don’t. The game does. At a whim. Worse still, it can go away again on a whim too, but I’ve found once it appears I’m stuck with it for at least a few days. Relaunching the game & rebooting my pc (or my ps4 as was the case last year) doesn’t seem to have any bearing on whether it occurs or not. UPDATE: the bug occurs when the shifter is in any gear & goes away again when the shifter is placed in neutral. What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue Detailed description of a workaround that has since stopped working in the post above, but the TL;DR is enabling a different control profile then enabling my desired - customised - controller profile straight after. Have also managed to make it go away once or twice by removing the binding for the clutch & then configuring it again. What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc) Logitech G29 Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears. Yeah, it’s uploading now. Will add it shortly.
  3. 1. A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here. As the title states, the track map for Monaco appears on pit monitors across all the garage/pitwall cutscenes pre & post race, regardless of the track you're on. 2. Platform PC 3. What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) 1.06 4. Game-mode? Every game mode which features cutscenes of the garage and/or pitwall. 5. What are your replication numbers? Minimum test attempts are 4. Please also add EXACT replication steps for us to try too. I've been able to replicate the issue 21 times. The only time the bug isn't present is when the selected track is Monaco, strangely enough. 6. What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue At this point I'm trying out a 3rd party tool to extract all visual assets from the game to try work out if I can fix it for myself by creating the missing textures. 7. What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc) Logitech G29 wheel/pedals which coincidentally also happens to look around while I'm parked in the garage, on the grid, or straight after a big shunt just before the replay/restart/retire prompt appears - this is despite the bindings for those particular functions being mapped disabled in the controller settings. I'm also using a Logitech mouse (nothing fancy) which is completely unresponsive in-game, but miraculously comes back to life once I've ctrl-alt-del'ed out of the game. Unsure if all these bugs are related... 8. Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears. Attached.
  4. Indeed... 😪 Interesting hypothesis! Even a broken clock is right twice a day...
  5. Hadn’t noticed that one! But I’ll complete a new bug report for it just as soon as I’ve snapped a screenie 😉

    Another featured event?!

Playing devil’s advocate here - Mebe codies has decided players of its games cannot receive trophies from previous years games because of feedback from real F1 drivers saying they can do no such thing in real life? It’d certainly be a wet dream for codies’ marketing interns, Just think of all the BS they could spin with such true to life immersion!

Weekly Event is being exploited AGAIN

The point of beta testing is to prepare a stable release candidate for the game by identifying, replicating & fixing any show-stopping issues... Something clearly went horribly awry though because I was in the 3rd beta, admittedly on PS4. The version I tested had none of the issues I’m now experiencing on PC. That said, what was available to test in the beta was SO locked down that a lot of stuff causing issues for me now I simply didn’t have access to try out during the beta. But I enjoyed the beta so much I was quietly confident the launch product would be up to an acceptable standard (eg not bwoken) & on that basis decided to buy. What I got on (pre)launch day is a borderline shambolic release candidate from a studio that has been doing this for a decade 🙄 As for the dimfluencers of YT, they’re just one element of many in the big circle jerk that is a marketing campaign in today’s world - so have no actual bearing on the development of the game. Their job is solely to present it in ‘as favourable a light’ as possible to (hopefully) encourage people to buy the finished product ASAP. Looks to have worked in this instance & not for the first time for this particular game franchise.

What I'm hoping will be fixed in the next patch

PC users have access to both since friyay 🙃

Weekly Event is being exploited AGAIN

The example was set by Codemasters when they released a buggy AF game at full price in order to exploit paying customers to beta test the game post-launch 🤷🏽‍♂️

    Fictional Tracks

They’d have a much better chance of getting it right with fictional tracks wouldn’t they 🤔
  16. Guga_Cyr

    I love this game

The game IS finished though & IS being marketed/sold as such, too. 🤦🏽‍♂️

  19. I’d be fine with it if the rest of the game were up to scratch 🙄
  20. Classic codies, innit 🤦🏽‍♂️

Not having a go but why this stuff isn’t in the game itself is beyond me 🤔
  22. I had the same happen yesterday in Bahrain, sent the ego crash dump also.
  23. Hmmm well I can’t be certain without the HUD to see your throttle/brake inputs but from the vid it looks to me like you might be downshifting a split second before hitting the brake? It’s most notable into Turn 1 & both hairpins - the nose of the car only lowers when you’re already in 7th gear & it also looks like you’re spamming the downshifts in the early phase of the braking zone such that you’re hitting the rev limiter with each downshift from 8th all the way to about 4th-3rd by which point you’ve then slowed enough to not bounce off the rev limiter? Remember too that with much less engine braking in this game compared to the last one there is very little to be gained from such aggressive downshifting & would certainly put more strain on the ‘box because you’re using it, rather than the brakes to slow down (at least initially). It’d be pretty obvious from the telemetry, I reckon - but given it’s not currently working on My Team, the only suggestion I have for you is to try being more deliberate with your downshifts (particularly in the heavy braking zones), making sure to only start downshifting once you’ve already started braking & instead of downshifting as fast as it’ll go, try counting your way down the gears with each shift. In any case, other people have reported similar problems with excessive wear so maybe it is indeed a bug - but I will get around to testing it out for myself at some point over the weekend & report back! Disclaimer: definitely not an expert 🧐

    Will Buxton

He’s the geezer wearing one too many wristbands that interviews you at the start of My Team 😉 Agree, but I’d rather have Crofty do the intro cutscenes for practice/qualifying than not have anything at all as is currently the case. Whoever signed off on that idea needs to be retired.
