  1. Seems more like an oversight than a missing feature to me...

Unless of course Codies really think it’s entirely feasible/reasonable to complete a 100% distance, 22-race season in one sitting.

You’d sure as hell be closer to your mate by the end of it, finishing each other’s sentences & the like.

    Power to ya, bruh 🤙🏽

  2. Cut from a cloth of similar thread count, we are. Couldn’t agree more...

Although you can change the colour of your visor (I’m currently rocking a blue & purple number atm, pinched from DeVries) - charname_visor_d.tif or something like that is the texture you wanna fiddle with, inside the incardriverF1.erp which is in:

    2020_asset_groups\animation_packages\scenes\incardriver\2020

Only catch is that any driver who also uses a black tinted visor (from memory that’s Sainz, Magnussen & some marshals - like the guy that rides the scooter to bring you back to the pits after retiring) will also have the same coloured visor as you because they pull from the same file 🙄

There’s also an issue with the textures for visor/visor attachment being a bit wonky when zoomed in to the max in camera mode which does take away from the immersion of having a unique visor somewhat, as well as the “Steve Buscemi” eyes that appear behind the visor depending on the angle you capture a photo at...

Still, it can be done & it’s cool to see what other people can come up with so giz a look when you’ve tinkered with yours.

The different helmet manufacturers is an interesting one though & im pretty sure I’ve asked that question before (on here I’m pretty sure with similar results to my other query about the flashbacks). “Licensing” would more than likely be the excuse given as to why it’s not done/possible, but dig a little deeper & it doesn’t really hold any water because a Stilo model is already in-game - so making it available to the player wouldn’t require a huge effort - nevermind the fact the players helmet (which is clearly an Arai) uses Stilo HANS anchors (Can’t imagine the Arai peeps would be too pleased about that! 🤦🏽‍♂️).

In any case, none of this is new - people (not I, I’ve only recently become more vocal because the ‘rona has me spending a lot more time in front of a screen than I otherwise would) have been banging on about these little details for years.

But the focus is always on something else (e.g. more drab pitpass items to tempt the kiddies to spend their allowance) with a “by design” or “because, licensing” throwaway at the ready just in case it’s needed, which if you read through enough threads on here, is actually quite often.

You’re definitely on the right track though & while I don’t know you from a bar of soap, you’ve got my endorsement to take over from Mather as game director any. day. of. the. week. Because quite frankly, direction is what this game is sorely lacking.

    ✌

I think they need to release the game again as "F1 2020 - COVID19 Edition" with the real 2020 calendar.

With minimal/no spectators AND everyone wearing face masks 😏

  4. I’m back on this, after a short sanity break.

Have made a couple of interesting observations - Plugging in a DS4 controller (via USB cable) is detected by the game immediately & The controller works perfectly (even gives the “controller disconnected” message when unplugged again, without crashing the game & I can press anything on the wheel or keyboard to carry on).

Funnily enough, every time I plug/unplug the wheel into the PC, Windows will play a little sound whereas it doesn’t play any sound for the DS4 ever. The Sherlock in me suggests that’s the smoking gun right there 🤔🕵🏻‍♂️🧐

So I’ll try USBDeView & SafelyRemove as you suggested at some point in the coming days then report back.

    ✌

Cutscenesďťż are **** on PC too. It's not framerate it's the way those cutscenes have the textures added. It's highly unoptimised to be kind to it.ďťż

That just might be the only logical explanation as to why they removed so many for this year 🤔

  6. Because releasing a new game every 12 mths leaves too little time to develop any particular aspect of it to be as good as it can be 🤷🏽‍♂️
