changed graphics card and now f1 2019 crashing

So I bottled it... well not really but not going to do the bios update... Missus said I would be in trouble if I broke the main computer especially as her laptop is stuck at my daughters house atm.. But I have had a major win and SUCCESS...…. hence why im writing this at 3am.. lol.. couldn't sleep and something was telling me, put the radeon HD6950 graphics card back in. So done all the stuff and Guess what. Where as before it wouldn't run past ultra low mode with either graphics card, the HD6950 can run all the way up to ultra high . Sure it laggy at that setting so backed it off to high and might make some more tweaks to fine tune but now I have skid marks on the track etc... im guessing the ati card has benefited from a clean install So im good to go as it stands.... done a 25% race distance and didn't crash.... shut the game down on several occasions and it now seems stable. im thinking.. Do I quit whilst im ahead now. is it even possible the nvidia card was faulty... ?? Decision decisions...

Steve, sorry I didn't make myself clear. I was meaning changing the motherboard as a good upgrade anyway for the future (not just for this game) and yeah I am aware that would mean changing the cpu , ram etc... (maybe even a new power pack as its still the original 650w one) Ive really apart from this graphics card just bought not spent any money on this computer since I got it years ago ,apart from changing the hdd for a ssd. Ive got a nice nzxt phantom full tower case too when I bought it years ago so space isn't a problem for components..

okay will try the 442,74 driver and try the rest you said. yeah I did DDU the Ati drivers in safe mode twice.. (learnt something new ) just had a look at the Bios update, its a ROM FILE... what software do you use to access ROM Files. oh and on another note. In all honesty Steve am I best looking at upgrading the motherboard anyway even if the bios update works etc. as it is so old hat now ?

ok weird one as got a new message come up after some changes ... Somebody told me to turn down the max fps to 60 and textured shadowing off.. Now as im no expert im just trying everything people say and yes the game crashed but with a message I have never seen before... said neon error and texture allocation failure... insufficient video memry Please ensure display adaptor meets required minimum specification.. is that useful info or was the other person just giving me false info? oh and decided to load project cars up and that seems okay with higher settings it has taken on

funny enough. I had done that as a first step originally Steve but have deleted the hardware settings again to force it into a redetect but it still doesn't work. Bios next if im brave.. lol yeah im only disabling overlays in hope more than anything...

Thanks Chameleon for your input too.. Much appreciated …. So this is where we are. 1. removed old ati drivers.... 2. Reverted back to Nvidia 445.98 (disabled ge force experience overlay like before) At this point I tried loading the game..... Game runs in ultra low mode as expected... Turn settings up to next stage (low) and game crashes with ego error. Game not running in either dx12 or dx11... arghhhhhhhh… 3. as Steve said done the update to Windows and try again.. Result.. game still crashing to desktop. 4. So all that leaves to do now is the bios update.... Never done that ever before so that will bedefo a realm into the unknown... lol anyway just thought I would update due to all the help and Patience people are showing..... Thank you

Hi Steve….. Thanks for taking a look at the dxdiag… hmm , you know what I thought I had removed the old ati software, so will look into that... Yeah as for Nvidia drivers I have been mucking about with different ones hence why im back where I am but will revert back to 445.98.... will also get around to the bios update etc ….. As a general question though Steve... Do you think its time anyway to look into replacing the motherboard now as I remember you mentioned something about ddr ram too and just the age of the board ?

Hi Steve.... dxdiag as requested DxDiag.txt

changed graphics card and now f1 2019 crashing

hi Steve just popped home for 5 mins and thanks for the update... Funny enough the Restoro program has already been removed last night... meant to say earlier but its just occurred to me my previous graphics card the HD6950 would also only play in ultra low mode. As posted earlier I can now get the game to run with the new graphics card in ultra low too ,since removing the Ge force overlay.. The previous graphics card would also crash to desktop if the settings were moved to low or higher, which is why I bought a new graphics card.. So im thinking this is pointing to hardware rather than drivers... Do you still want to see a dxdiag or has that changed your train of thought?

@Steve.. Sorry you are indeed correct, my info was incorrect.... I am short of time atm as got to go out but attached in the meantime is a grab of the system.

okay answering Morsify first... yeah I did disable the antivirus yesterday bu t that didn't work and did roll back the drivers as well to no avail. strangely though I have no disabled the Ge experience game overlay and I can get the game to load now to the point that I can get on track. Im short on time this morning so not been able to do more than half a lap. But heres the stinger.... Its working on ultra low graphics mode but as soon as I move up to low or medium settings, it crashes to desktop with no ego dump this time.. will have a look later if anything else is running but I don't think so is the short answer but would need to doublecheck. cheers for your input

SO tried a new and clean install of the drivers and still no luck.... in either dx 11 or 12.... Just keeps going back to desktop before I can get to career mode screen.... if it manages to get to the career mode screen and tries to load Canada then it comes up with an error message and ego dump error..

actually No I didn't uninstall the previous drivers..... will try that next.... Strange thing is I lowered all the graphics settings to minimum and that's when I can get further into the game into the continue career screen before crashing with a ego dumper error... when loading Canada.. Don't know whether that has any bearing on drivers but will try a fresh install like you said... Cheers

oh well it didn't work..... What a letdown after playing F1 2019 in low settings, wanted to see the game in all its glory.. Now in dx 11, I am only getting as far as the screen with Lewis and Seb on start up and when I push any button as it asks, it goes back to desktop with the steam menu showing. In dx 12... it gets only as far a the 5 starting lights and back to desktop
