  1. Another option is, and I really hope this is not the case, is that the higher management wants the DiRT team to significantly change direction, and Jon does not want to make a 'different' game...
Based on the hints, what was said and some other reasons I'd rather wait longer than have the team change the approach/goal of the next game.

I hope that Jon simply can't talk about it, not that my suspicion is true...

If he is saying that he can't read between the lines then i guess he didn't see it coming.

  2. What is it with Halo and finishing with driving missions? :p   At least with 3 I guess it has a few checkpoints in it which do make it easier now if they can add 1 or 2 into Halo 1 it may be easier to live with. Got through it but it was one hell of a challenge.

That's one hell of an opening level to Halo 4 Wasn't expecting it to be that challenging in the first mission. I will  say I do like 4's graphics though not as nice as 2 remastered but definitely better than 3

Is that the mission where you go outside near the end to try and battle the enemy?

Yeah  you have to activate the missile to blow up their ship and the covenant are attacking you from all angles. I managed to do it but it was really quite hard the kind of level I'd expect to face near or at the end of the game. Usually and at least in Halo's 1-3 the opening levels are pretty straightforward. I don't know if @Hughesy's played it yet. The stories more about Cortana this time round as her program is starting to break down. I know she dies at the end of the game which is kind of sad. This is the first time I've played Halo 4 though so I don't know it that well. I think I've seen enough to determine that 2 is probably my favourite of the series so far and that's even before I saw the remastered version. I have to say all 4 games are brilliant though and I can definitely see how it's very highly rated.

Another thing I'm noticing about Halo 4 is the levels are longer and slightly tougher than the earlier 3 games but I am making progress even if at the moment it is quite slow progress. But then 4 was the first attempt by 343 industries after taking over from Bungie on the Halo series. I would guess based on the story and how the first 3 played out they decided to take it in another direction. I'm still finding it a good game though.

    Yeah good game

    Spoiler
but was hoping Master chief found some old crew mates before he was lost. instead of running into random marines.

  5. FC3 was an awesome game, one of the few games I was still playing regularly nearly 2 years after it was released lol. Did you have itactivated through Uplay yea? You might be able to download and install the game from there without the disc.

@Hughesy This makes for some interesting reading, might actually drop a few settings down slightly to get the highest fps I can from it using some of the advice in this :) http://www.geforce.co.uk/whats-new/guides/far-cry-4-graphics-performance-and-tweaking-guide
Still have the save on the 360 haven't gotten around to buy another disk lol

  6. Why would that change your mind? The fact that they've added in a hidden ending shows just how much thought they've put into the game.
To not buy it for the reason it can be finished in 23 minutes is just pathetic, are you really gonna just sit there and finish it that way? Or would you actually play the bloody game properly like most normal people?
Calm down dude everyone is entitled to an opinion :)
I'm quite calm, I just don't get how that could change your mind?
I mean it's not as if you're just gonna sit there yourself and finish the game that way if you buy it, is it? There's plenty more to the game than that.

And like I said, the fact that they've actually added in him coming back from his phone call is fantastic, most games would have just assumed you'd move on so wouldn't add anything like that in. To me, that's a great attention to detail.
I quite liked 3 untill my brother lost the disk :(

Huh? Am I seeing double?  :p
Lol , seriously though , do you know what he's talking about ? I thought he was talking about stalkgate (can we call it that now ? ) but it doesn't make any sense in relation to that.
I know why Onetwothree was banned, but I don't know what the other guy is on about mate.
He was talking about my inappropriate moment of the day post ;)

In other news, just got to the hotel in London, bought my WiFi and did a speedtest... Holy crap! The internet here is faster than mine at home :p

Hotel room ain't too bad either, on the 8th floor but the view out of my window is rubbish lol. Just an office block opposite and a building site below that.

I guess you use that curtain to change into your Superprawn costume ;) lol

It wasn't really by choice lol. I wanted to preorder through Steam but because Ubisoft are intent on taking the title of worst company away from EA that wasn't possible. So I looked for the cheapest option I could find at the time and it was the disc version from Amazon.

First time since I was a kid that I've had a PC game on disc :p How do they work now? Is it like once I've put it on it activates on pooplay and I can download it on both my laptop and PC? Or will it only work on 1 computer and no others after that? I really don't know lol.
Lol what's these discs you talk about, in my day we had  cassette tapes :p

Amazon costs a lot more than Zavvi but as I've never pre ordered a game from them it could take a while. Amazon costs about the same as the digital version on Ubi store, you also get a free copy of Far Cry 2 but I already have that for PC.
You mean the old commodore 64 remember those well :)
