  1. There's a few Star Trek games on Steam dude :p If you mean the one that's currently got 75% off, then yea I played it, never finished it though. I'd say it's a bit like the first Gears of War but not quite as good. The story in it is better than the gameplay it must be said.

One thing I will say, the game got panned when it was released, but it's honestly not that bad, I've played many games a lot worse than Star Trek.
Yeah the one with 75% off so is it third or first person?
It's 3rd person bud. If they'd made it 1st person it would have played weirdly, that's for sure!

    @Hughesy
My god I hope this happens and isn't just a mistake :p http://uk.ign.com/articles/2014/11/15/are-forza-horizon-2-and-sunset-overdrive-coming-to-pc
    Ok thanks.

  3. Or a two player mode where the second player is the co-driver, reading out the pace notes out whilst the driver drives. But without feeling the car going through the corners, it'd be hard to work out where you were without looking at the driver's view!
Or use the xbox kinect or ps camera and use our head in place of the drivers head.

  4. So he's all happy when Red Bull is dominating, but whines now that Mercedes are... Normally Christian Horner has a pretty decent opinion, but saying that F1 should consider scrapping the V6's and going back to the V8's (because the Renault V8 wasn't crap maybe?) is just stupid. The racing this season has been fantastic, better than it has been in any of the 4 seasons Red Bull dominated, so I say keep things as they are.

It's especially funny because Mercedes has said they'd pull out of F1 if they have to go back to V8s.

I still rather rules that don't allow a single team to dominate everyone... but I can't remember the last time that really was the case.
Last single team to dominate (most of the season) was Brawn GP 2009.

Yeah played it a couple of times now very short game needs to be longer.
It's not really short, one run is but it changes each time and there's loads of possibilities. It takes around 5 hours to do all of it and considering its an indie game and very cheap, it's not bad. Especially if you compare it to a game like Cod which costs loads and isn't long either :p Obvoiusly that has MP but a lot of people only like single player stories. I played the Orginal mod for the game (it was a free mod in 2011) and it was only 30mins long back then. I thought it was worth paying for because of how silly the writing is lol.
Done 8 different endings now, best one so far is the minecraft/portal 2 ending. There are more ending according to steam forum but can't find any new paths.

  6. Hey @renejr902,

Thanks for the post, think it might be worth trying to give you an insight into how DiRT has been for the last year or so.

First up, there is no strategy - and I'm not even joking. As it stands at the moment I'm the only person in the marketing department really working on DiRT and its been that way for quite a while. It's not an easy task, and I know that sounds daft because the actual doing it is what just looks like Twitter and Facebook but the trick is not to get people over excited... but still keep them interested.

Now I'll confess I deliberately poke the bear once in a while and I'd like to think a lot of the guys who post on here know that but it's a balancing act, I don't want people to forget DiRT exists and I don't want you guys to vanish into the distance.

Take the DiRT Facebook and Twitter pages this last few weeks, we just released F1 and the expectation is that we'll announce DiRT next - so as not to get peoples hopes up I go quiet. I hate having to go quiet :(

Believe me all I want to do is to be talking about the game, I can't wait to tell you guys what "that car" is and all the other secrets. Part of me thinks I actually could just tell you it all now, even though its not all nailed down I trust that you guys could handle the info like adults. But if I did give up anything, even just a date (or a loose window) it would be up on the gaming news sites and I'd be getting a telling off.

Personally I don't agree with it, like I said I could talk to death about the game - I would have something different to talk about every day between now and release. I could start now even! But that would start falling down when you guys started wanting to see a trailer, car lists, screenshots, things like that. Those kind of things are controlled by the licensing with the car manufactures and some have very strict rules about what can and can't me shown. Everything has to go through them first.

So we do what we can, we sail pretty close to the wind to give you guys an idea of what we're doing and I like to think that you guys have a pretty good idea of what we're doing (you just don't have confirmation).

So I am sorry to you and to all the others that feel this way, rest assured this week I started work on my actual marketing plan for DiRT, and it will be the last time I start the bloody thing too!

I really hope we do you guys proud and you have my word I'll tell you the story one day.

I'm open to questions on the above or anything related too - just post them up and I'll answer as best I can :)
Sounds tough being the only Community manager in the PR department for the DiRT section. Hopefully we hear something soon about the next rally title so keep up the good work. :)
