  1. Going back to the discussion about the old and new versions of the track, I think I prefer the new one. The old one had character and it was cool because it was old school, but I think the change was needed to keep the track with the modern times. I prefer the layout of the new track too.

For this weekend, I'm still expecting Mercedes to be as dominant as usual. Tough to call a winner though.

So going by the modern times talk, shouldn't they get rid of all the old school tracks off the calender then like  Monza, Spa, Monaco etc?

  2. Having a bit of trouble. I got my new Nexus 7 today and it doesn't want to let me post here... I've tried 4 different browsers on it, one won't let me sign in, one will but I press the text box at the bottom of the page and nothing happens, and the other 2 the keyboard comes up and then just drops down again.

    Any advice?
    Did you get it sorted?

Just testing the new editor from my nexus and it seems to be OK for me. Let us know how you get on.

Unfortunately this new text editor has made the text box for pc too narrow and small with a light yellow background colour.

I'm probably in the minority, but I prefer the current layout now. I think @Platy does too.
I consider myself in that club too. The old one had more character, but new layout is a better racing circuit.

Also, call me cynical, but I can't help but feel a lot of people who prefer the older one prefer it just because it's older, younger viewers especially.
Alot of the forum members grew up with the current layout and never saw the older layout on tv and love this layout because its more modern and you can see most of the racing from one point.
I know it doesn't really count, but I've watched a bunch of races that were held on the old layout. I just prefer the current version because to me it has more flow.

Like on racing games, Sepang is always my favourite but Hockenheim is a very close second.
With the racing games F1 2001 etc i used to grab the Jag and go full pelt trying to clean everyone up at the old circuit lol but my favorite is Valencia from the Codies games.

  5. Discuss the GP weekend here. I'm not sure why they've decided to put the DRS Zone 1 at between Turn 1 and 2. Would have made more sense to put it on the pit straight.
I don't know about that as the pit straight isn't really that long tbh although neither is that straight .There's only really 2 other places they can really put one where they have or just after the hairpin really after the main DRS zone.
Don't think DRS would work very well in first or second gear, don't know if DRS is designed to allow low gear changes because arn't they already in a higher gear before the DRS zone?

  7. Went down a rather steep hill on a skateboard when I was around 14, it ended up wobbling like crazy and I came off. Ripped up my arms, legs, face, chest, and broke my arm lol. I ended up skating again a week later and broke the cast in two :p

Second worse would be having my stomach impaled on a pool cue and breaking my ankle at the same time.

    Otherwise I've been pretty lucky!
Never broken anything yet touch wood lol
