Getting sick of the PS4 game updates there seems to be always new updates everyday with a min of 1gb download.
Shouldn't the games update automatically if you leave the system in Standby mode? That's what I do...
I'll check that out in the settings but its always starts to update as soon as i turn PS4 on.
Leave your PS4 in standby mode (takes up barely any power) and it will update automatically, assuming you haven't turned any of those options off. MUCH more convenient and saves a lot of time. Plus, by leaving it in standby mode, you can buy games/demos from the store (phone or computer) and they will automatically start to download, even if you are away.
Looks like i won't be using standby anymore and switching it completely off

Interesting article, but I suspect there's a bit more to that story. Also, what about PCs, laptops, kitchen appliances? I'm sure Sony and MS will lower the power requirements with future updates since the OS is constantly improving. For me, the convenience of everything being updated and ready to go outweighs the extra power usage.
Might try it with the standby turned on and check the power usage when the bill comes in.

@Loore @justbiglee @Britpoint can you confirm those cars?
I suspect all three of those screenshots are from Grid 2. My reasoning:
    • WSR logo visible in the first 2 pictures.
    • HUD font is different in the first 2 pictures from known screenshots of Grid: Autosport
    • The logo on the hood of the SC10 is one of the clubs from Grid 2 (EDIT: "The New Union", from season 1 of career).
    • The first screenshot is on the Abu Dhabi streets, which would be an as of yet unconfirmed track (but a welcome addition?) (EDIT: That's flimsy, I know, but the other reasons stand on their own).
This is where i got the pictures from here
Whoever put that together appears severely misinformed. Most of those were Grid 2 shots, and he says that the developers wouldn't confirm demo derby even though they've stated several times that it's in.
Not sure why they would have Autosport and Grid 2 shots mixed in together, hopefully some of these cars are in the new game.

  5. In the v8's they use tyre bundles inside corners, a great preventative for corner cutting in the non open wheel categories.
I know @Loore‌ has already mentioned there's going to be some tyre bundles. Most probably on chicanes?
Also I just want some clarification on how the game determines track limits?
Is the kerb classified as infront of or behind the white line?
Kerbs are always behind the white line.

I bet some people will be still complaining about corner cutting lol
Yep.  Sounds like a big improvement, but I still very much prefer the original GRID penalties:  no official penalties, just natural consequences to cutting, like loss of traction in grass, dirt, gravel, kitty litter - or rocks, holes, various obstructions, etc.

    Nice feedback/feedback, though.  Thanks.

    Frank (the new guy)
Problem is you can still control the car if you lose traction and drift it back on the track.

Mine was set to don't update when in standby, its on now.

  8. The only saving grace with the F1 is that I like the driver who's dominating :p If Vettel had had the same results as Hamilton did this year I'd have given up and stopped watching by now.
I suspect some people will be doing that if Merc keeps winning lol

Was it Maldonado or someone else who kept diving bombing into corners last year?
Perez, on Button, Alonso, and Raikkonen.

Just when we are expecting the most exciting race in years thanks to the 2014 cars, we now also expect rain. Where was it for the past few years? (Though tbf the 2012 race was quite interesting, and last year's wasn't bad either.)
I expect Vettel to do he aggressive dive bombing again if he has to overtake lol
The best was Hamilton in 2011 :P
    Was that the Petrov incident?
Nope, more like the incidents with Massa and Maldonado.
    Ah ok
