  1. A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here. Career mode, cold tyres before formation lap as it should be. If i reload the session and start the formation lap over again, tyres are already warmed up. Also, shutting down the system and reloading the save; it looks like already warm tyres happen randomly. 2. Hi Barry, are you sure? I did play with my friend in split screen mode, we used a TX and a TMX both by Thrustmaster. Could it be the reason for some visual bugs and some commands not responding correctly? Other than that, we did have fun and could drive properly.
  3. A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here. Unfortunately I have no error codes to report but my esperience in split screen was particularly bugged yesterday. As you will see in the pics attached, when choosing the personal myteam team to race instead of the full car we saw only the 4 tyres and this was also in the race, we raced with no driver nor car, tyres only. AlSo when driving for other teams, the driver's body was missing. Podiums with floating heads, a floating head on the track on the starting grid for the whole race, and last but not least when trying a 5 laps race with classic cars my friend started the race from the pitlane and even got his wing replaced when for me it was lights out and away we go... Split screen 2 player several bugs and glitches

Thanks Barry, any recommendation for Xbox? Need to do some backups? Edit: reinstalled and also got back the rain drops on camera which were not featured since a couple of weeks.
  5. After the performance update team goals didn not change: in Championship mode Ferrari medals require to obtain 1st place for gold, 2nd for silver and 4th for bronze, equal to Mercedes and Red Bull. On the other hand, After the performance boost Racing Point still needs only 7th, 8th and 10th; equal to Haas. I think it should be adjusted according to the performances in game.

    Bars or suspension for traction?

So, I studied a lot of setups guides and I figured out where to intervene for understeer, oversteer and so on. I also learned that a setup with harder fronts can help with traction and flooring the gas without being afraid of spinning: harder suspensions and bars on the front and softer rear can help you with it, but at the cost of potential understeer. Now, rotation is very important and most of the setups, also for race and not time trial, do use a harder rear, in example suspensions 1-3 and bars 3-9. So, if I do want to address my traction problem I know I have to be harder on the front and softer on the rear, but I want to intervene only on one between suspensions and bars, otherwise I will be too understeery. My thought is that I should intervene on the anti-roll bars, in example instead of a common 3-8 or 4-9 having a 7-6, because a softer front suspension is vital to attack the kerbs and also being able to start flooring the throttle mid-corner can help me with having already a good traction when the car becomes straight. (Numbers are only to give an idea, obviouslt every track is different). What do you think? Stiffer front on the suspensions or bars to have better traction and car more planted?

    Thrustmaster pedals

I felt the same and swapped them too! And my right ankle became tired soon. But I didn't have the possibility to check for a better spring for the gas pedal so I tried to asjust to its softer feeling, which is indeed much more resistant compared to the stock t3pa. I don't really have springs shops or factories in the nearbies so I will wait for something to come up on the internet...

    Thrustmaster pedals

Hi! I'd like to share my experience with Thrustmaster pedals. I started off with a TMX in April, equipped with T3PA pedals already. They are good but could be improved, after practicing I felt the need for a different braking feeling. First thing I did was trying the conical rubber mod that came in stock, but it left me a bit disappointed: the rubber was too hard to actually make me feel some sort of progression in braking. Therefore I did some research and used the conical mod stand to tie an anti-stress ball behind the pedal, and that is what made me learn how to drive without abs. Then, the throttle: with traction control on medium I had no problems, but trying to turn it off was a pain, as the gas spring offers no resistance whatsoever. So my solution was to stick a sponge behind the pedal to gain some resistance. Eventually, I bought a rubber mod from 3Drap to be installed within the brake spring and swapped the clutch and gas springs to have more resistance. I race with some very light home shoes with rubber heels for grip. Many people recommended me to play with socks only for foot sensitivity but I am very used to the grip my home shoes have, so I am sticking with them. Then come August i did bite the bullet and got my T-LCM: oh dear, what a difference. Solid materials and tons of combinations to adjust the pressure to my braking style, both in terms of PC calibration and different springs! I spent a month trying different spring combos and calibration settings just to shave off a couple more tenths per lap. All in all, it did help a lot in my consistency, but there is more to be said... Unluckily I had to return my T-LCM due to not responding anymore to any input. Thrustmaster was fast in replying, providing assistance and organizing a free return for repairs, the whole procedure took no longer than 2 weeks to get by pedals back working perfectly. I race in a league, so I was glad I did not sell my T3PA already, as this made it possible for me not to give up my race in Brazil. I performed a solid race but in some sort of anxiety as I was racing with no assists and I felt I did not have full control of my inputs in comparison to the T-LCM, for sure the lack of consistency, especially in braking, slowed me down a bit but all in all I was glad I had a T3PA in that moment. If you can afford it and you play hours and hours and on a daily basis, I'd recommend the T-LCM for those who must or want to stay in the Thrustmaster ecosystem.

Lack of AI mistakes and crashes

I was one of those people who complained that AI were on rails and not making mistakes but maybe this is linked to AI difficulty level. When I played at 90-95 I could see some slight lockups or traction losses, but yesterday I was playing at AI level 100 a 50% Grand Prix in Mexico and Hamilton made a quite major mistake by spinning completely, definitely not a scripted accident such as mechanical DNFs that can occur within the bots. This was really pleasant, I wish it could happen more and more thus making room for recovering from your mistakes and playing without flashbacks.

Equal cars in grand prix mode.

You're right, I misunderstood as I was focusing more on the title
  11. HenricusVonG

    Performance Patch coming soon?

Yes, 50% Mexico. Playing as Albon, a.i. 100 1 Bottas, 2 Albon, 3 Ham, 4 Ver, 5 Perez, 6 Leclerc, 7 Vettel, 8 Ocon. Sainz and Latifi DNF. Monster run by Verstappen from p20 due to not having attempted quali. Surprised by a.i. Hamilton brutally spinning in front of me due to a mistake, added a ton of realism

Equal cars in grand prix mode.

i agree, as I would love to practice grand prix with equal cars performances so I can get ready for my league races without having somebody else playing with me in a lobby.

    Bars or suspension for traction?

Thank You, Janbonator! Yesterday I tested this in Bahrain, for which I had already lots of data gathered for my league training and preparation. Last week I tried a setup with suspensions 1-3 and bars 5-8 or 6-8, I always have them close to each other because I am afraid of oversteer and losing the rear end of the car, but always stiffer on the rear, and I almost convinced myself that I would have played with traction control on medium on Sunday, because stability and reliability about not spinning were worth the trade with potential 1-2 tenths per lap where I would be tense all the time and make room for mistakes. Yesterday I tried it by not changing the suspensions or maybe having a 2-2, it's harder having stiffer front suspensions as you said, bars at 6-5 so still soft but softer at the rear and I found I could floor the throttle early enough, and I was also able to countersteer the times I was beginning to spin, I was able to feel the loss of traction and correct it. I think that maybe not having the same rotation can lose me 2-3 tenths per lap but we run 50% races therefore the less tyre wear experienced can be good on a track that eats your tyres such as Bahrain! If I will be using the soft compound I can keep up the performance for 2 or 3 laps more compared to my previous setup with a stiffer rear.

    Traction control on low

Hello! I always wondered why the traction control assist can be full, medium and then off without a "low" level. I am stuck in between always using "off" but being constantly terrified about possible spinning, and when I play on "medium" it's too much, sometimes I feel like I am driving a boat and cannot exploit feathering the throttle for gaining some extra rotation mid corner. Could it be a feature for next patches? I would achieve my comfort zone!
  15. Updated yesterday, now I m playing online and in 5 minutes it kicked me out of the lobby stating I had to sign in to Xbox live and with me all of us, 4 participants... Please look into this issue

Horrible FPS and FFB after re-joining

I was about to report the same issue; Xbox One user, this happens when someone wants to join our lobby for free practice after the session has already started, we do experience an awful framerate and horrible FFB, unusually strong; I am a Thrustmaster TMX user but this happens also to my league-mates regardless of their input machine.

    Brake red lights

Aaah, thank you very much! This makes everything clearer!

    Brake red lights

Hello everyone, why there are no red lights on the back of the cars in front of me when they brake? This would help avoid lots of collisions as you would be aware if the driver in front of you is braking, especially in turn 1 or safety car situations. Am I missing something and-or I am the only one that would need this feature?
  19. HenricusVonG

    Game assists. OP?

Agree, I am a decent driver myself without assists but with abs, tc on medium and automatic shift I can shove 6 tenths. It should be the other way around!

Allow lapped cars to unlap during SC

Hello, first of all I am enjoying this game putting hours and hours of entertainment and I am thankful for Codemasters'efforts. Yet, I have to say this happened to me in a 50% race just now: I was fighting in the low field, p15-16 and was stuck lapped in bewteen the main leaders; safety car came out and I was still blue flagged stuck between p3 and p4. Not being possible to overtake and unlap myself, at the end of the safety car all the drivers in front of me managed to make the train behind the safety car thus making me 1 lap behind everyone except one single driver. This ruined my race and immersion with no possibility of recovering whatsoever. Sorting this out will make a better experience for us players, especially those of us who like to play long immersive races.

  22. Hello, I have a Thrustmaster Tmx and I am experiencing this when under braking and turning. At first I thought about reaching the grip limit with abs off, but in 2019 it didn't do that. I play with all assists off and ffb setting around 80-85, on track 35, kerbs 30, off track 25, damper 5 understeer enhancement off; control panel settings ffb 100, damper 100 and orhers at default - platform Xbox version 1.05 but occurring since the beginning.
  23. Hello, this is not really a bug but I'd like to report some off-putting Italian translation in the podium pass. "Non-comune guanti" should be: "Guanti non comuni" "Raro guanti" should be "Guanti rari" "Epico guanti" should be "Guanti epici" "Raro posa" should be "Posa rara" "non comune posa" should be "Posa non comune" "Epico posa" should be "posa epica" "Epico tuta" = "Tuta epica" "Non-comune livrea" = "Livrea non comune" "Raro livrea" = "Livrea rara" "Epico livrea" - "Livrea epica" Also "Leggendario posa" should be "posa leggendaria" thus following the scheme above. Today I saw in the podium pass "Pistolerp" which has a typo as should be "Pistolero", although he just flexes his muscles so nothing to do with guns or gun men. And so on. Not a majour issue but I'd like to report and help
  24. Happened to me as well, I just got back to the main manu, reloaded and sorted it out
  25. I have to agree on this. I am an average player but I like to exploit the car to the fullest of my possibilities by playing with all mechanical assists off. After multiple tests and attempts in switching between tc off and medium and abs on and off, I figured out that with abs on I gain 5-6 tenths per lap, assuming and presumptuously thinking it's not due to me not being able to master obs off, as in 2019 i was able to drive with abs off and actually gaining time compared to abs on, as with abs off you can use all braking power. My thought is that so far what's missing is the feeling of reward of pulling off better lap times due to assists off, and if I can exploit full braking power with abs on thus being able to apply full brake more effectively when cornering then something looks like a put-off to me, as there will be no point in practicing with assists off if all in all I will have no advantage from it. I will pursue assists off in single player, but as I am part of a league where restrictions are traction control on medium or less and abs can be on, there is no point in playing with assists off when you cannot be competitive. That's my 2 cents as a middle-class maybe just a bit above average driver, not a pro or a Youtuber but part of the greater audience that Codemasters look for pleasing with the game.
