Seen plenty of crashes that brought safety car out (first corner Of race of silverstone lando decided that not braking and using Albons car to slow himself down was best way and lando ended up out of race and by end of corner 3 I had safety car out).

Xbox doesn’t like multi platform online playing anyway yet the same company quite happy to allow pc users to play against ps users lol.

Try looking at different set ups on forums for the car at tracks as people post different set ups for same car and some suit my driving style while others I tend to end up all over the place lol.

Not had safety car every time a yellow flag but I play 100% lap race for My team mode And if I save part way through and come back later( bad hip problems means can’t play for long even laid down) and come back later, soon as I load game up safety car comes out soon as game loaded, every time regardless of what is going on the track.

Got it myself but it always shows new part fitted for race which is main thing.

It’s a known issue and will be looked into in future but codemasters concentrating on major glitches for now which is understandable.

Seen this couple of times myself but happen every now and again on 2019 edition so must be something carried over, just a shame we pay full price for new game but most is just code from previous edition( yes I admit a lot has to be but some glitches/bugs now been in game for 3 years plus and reported many times by players but just ignored).

Also to be told rain in 10 minutes then 10 minutes later to be told expect rain in 15 minutes lol, radar real teams have sometimes gets it wrong but not as often as game and why before race forecast will tell you rain in last quarter of race and it rains in first quarter( this been going on since at least 2018 edition) and happen for just about every wet weather race for rain been early..

Been told after qualify that it was good session for me when I qualified last by big margin( complete errors in corners by myself so only me to blame lol) and thinking how could any of that lap be considered good????

Had similar problem under safety car at silverstone too Just before pit lane safety car came out so I putted as it was only 1 lap before normal pit stop and when I came out in 18th place the game forced me to give up places until I ended up 22nd under sc even though 19th was 2 seconds behind me when I re-entered track proper.

Agree but try finding a new game now with no bugs to fix when released lol. Definitely the most fun version of game up to now.

Couldn’t agree more so much more enjoyable in 2020 edition, got sick of getting good slipstream and overtaking too easy in the worst car on grid in 2019 edition.

They altered how your car reacts when behind another car as 2019 edition didn’t take into account the dirty air effect when following another car and 2020 edition does. That then means less chance of overtaking when following another car unless you have good advantage over car in front. have noticed tires for al drivers have less difference between them but for me I get so much more out of soft tires than medium( I’m a grip and braking type of driver than most out of top speed type).

Also remember the extra fuel you carry for race day effects the handling etc of the car big time, less you have invested in. Car more it will effect your car.

I use lowest lvl of traction control and opponents regularly lock up and agree sometimes they lose control when driving in a straight line which is a bit strange ( good as last time it happened bottas took out vettel which gave me a points finish for a change lol)

Is so annoying to see f1 2019 bugs back again, they should have been attended to long before release as codemasters knee all about them, ranked used to be favourite for me but 2019 and now 2020 a avoid like COVID 19 areas lol along with the rampant cheating goes on in ranked ( been rammed of track all the time and game penalising you for been forced of track or causing the accident others did).

For me fuel management practice is just for points for upgrades, during the race I’m always tinkering with fuel management depending where I am during a lap, whether I want to overtake or preserve the tires( f1 2019 was big on saying fuel mode one helped tire management for longer stints) etc.

If you want your money back you need to contact the seller of the game not codemasters and if that doesn’t work your countries version of trading standards.

Agree totally that on 50% and 100% races break slightly earlier for corners, far smoother that way for me even though I’m like Ricardo on been a later braker still find better race if brake earlier early on.

You not a idiot in any way and got to say the people on this forum seem far more helpful and nice than most game forums which is great. If you don’t ask you don’t find out and miss out on parts of game which is why I don’t think you a idiot in any way actually taking them to ask shows your willing to learn by others.

Got the Honda engine and even with upgrades I struggle to keep up with top 3 teams or mclaren and racing point is a pain but they do well 3 races then seem to have a race where they at back for whole race lol. I’m on Canada for race now and still behind most teams so seems Honda engine more of a long term engine for improvement.

Mine was in the Dutch race when I was in 11th place and just been lapped by Hamilton who in lead, when safety car came out so we formed up behind it with me directly behind Hamilton and 10th place who had been 4 seconds ahead of me now nearly 1 lap ahead of me. This resulted in last 20 laps been a waste of time for 11th and above as we had no chance of points finish (I ended up 15th).

Agree also others ram you of track but you get penalty either for causing a crash even though it was other driver who caused it or get penalty for leaving the track even though you crashed through no fault of your own. until these and the rampant cheating are sorted( very little chance of it if lack of codemasters action in 2019 version to go by) then I won’t be playing online and codemasters seem to not care about these issues tarnishing their reputation at all.
