    Lag Spike Issue

Hi, I have to make a new post for the issue as the previous one was marked as complete and no one would reply to it. The issue is still the same although there is a partial fix: A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here: Lag spikes in all game modes. FPS is fine usually but then sudden freeze and unfreeze. Tried lowering graphics and no change. The game used to be fine but ever since the last update this started happening Code: AAXG-RBDC-JPBH-PBJE Platform: PC (Graphics card is GTX 1050Ti) What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen): 1.13 Game-mode? All We need to be able to make your problem happen internally so we can fix the issue. Can you make the problem happen again? How do you make the problem happen? What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue. I've tried changing priority in task manager to high, used game booster, reinstalled game on SSD, lowered graphics, tried launching with Dx11 (which used to solve the issue back in September) What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc): Wheel is Logitech DFGT, pedals are Fanatec CSL Elite (no loadcell) Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears. Video attached One solution I found on the forums is deleting the hardware_settings_config file which solves the issue. However, the issue comes back if I restart the game so I have to delete the file every time I play the game. The other solution @BarryBL suggested on the previous post was to delete the custom controller settings, verify the integrity of files and reboot. Although it does solve the issue the first time I launch the game, it returns if I restart the game a second time or play the next day. Would really appreciate help on this! Lag Spike Issue

Thanks for the suggestion @steviejay69. The Wacom tablet was never connected but I uninstalled the drivers for it. Unplugging the headset dongle seems to have solved the issue. However, I do need to use the headphones with the dongle as my laptop only has 1 audio input, is there any way I could solve the issue and still use the dongle?

    Lag Spike Issue

    Hi @steviejay69 what’s the dxdiag?
  5. Hi @BarryBL, After I fixed it yesterday through the steps you said the micro freeze has come back. I could do the steps again but I don't think it would be a long term solution. My connection is wired.
  6. Hi, Would really appreciate some help on the issue as I've searched all over the internet and no solution... A detailed description of the issue. 7. Seems like the issue is solved by deleting, verifying and rebooting. Thanks for your help!
  8. Hey @BarryBL, Thanks for the quick reply. What do you mean by connectivity settings? Do you mean like ethernet or wifi? (I'm on ethernet at around 20mbps). Yeah firmware is the latest (last one was released in 2010). Yes I run custom control scheme and I've verified integrity of steam files. I've observed the issue in all modes including GP.
  9. Hi, 1. Whenever I start a race in solo/career or multiplayer, the camera is always facing the rear when the light sequence begins. Then just before the lights go out, it switches back to the front TV pod which is what I set in the settings. The rear camera is also shown on flashbacks and just before the lights go out on a flying lap. 2. 1.03 3. Multiplayer, Career and Solo races 4. Happens every time. I don't know what the recreation steps are. 5. I tried unbinding the 'Look Back' button assignment on all enable inputs (i.e. wheel and keyboard). I recently got fanatec pedals several days after f12020 release and if I remember correctly before the new pedals the problem wasn't there. However, I tried unplugging the pedals and the problem still persists. 6. Wheel - Logitech Driving Force GT, Pedals - Fanatec CSL Elite (no loadcell) 7. https://youtu.be/j1A12TBaUe4 Hope you can help me! Thanks!
  10. Hi @Borgilion, Yeah seems that the patch has fixed it now and I don't have to plug in the old pedals.
  11. oh wow didn't know others had the same issue. I actually fixed mine keeping the DFGT pedals plugged into the wheel but using the fanatec pedals in the game. Partial fix and probably not for everyone but hope the patch fixes it.
  12. is there a way I can tag or bring it to the attention of someone at codemasters to help me out cause the issue still persists?
  13. Yeah followed the steps and still the same problem... I don't think it has to do with the wheel because on the first day I got the game the problem didn't exist. For the Fanatec Pedals I have the latest firmware.
  14. no, I have a program called Logitech Profiler to change the wheel settings. Should I try LGS?
