Yes, it makes perfect sense. However, at this point, I just don't like how the Merc, itself, feels. That might be because I still have issues controlling the slower cars when they have soft suspensions. I’d start with JD’s setups and alter them to suit whichever car I was using at the time. In those case, I’d be changing them for the Williams. For the record, I’m most likely to do GP mode next.

I know this has been brought up several times, but I'd love options to sort the TT boards by, at least, team and custom setup. I'm trying to acclimate myself to the Williams because it'll be my league car, if I get into leagues this game, and I noticed that very few other Williams drivers, at least on Xbox, use a custom set up. Not to mention, most of those that do seem to use an auto gearbox, which I feel compromises the setup a bit. I can't knock the other assists because I'm still using them.

Gotta nitpick here. I believe you've told me that using TRL Limitless' Merc setups on a Williams in TT would be suboptimal in another of my topics. That's why I'm trying to create my own setups now.

@BarryBL, do you guys try and implement the fixes on the games in development only to have them pop back up after release? After all, it's odd that a bug fixed in F1 2018 would recur in a game being delveloped at that time, unless some newly-implemented code caused it.

Why does F1 seem to use different lines for race start and qualifying on certain tracks? For example, Silverstone’s qualifying line is as the track straightens off Club as compared to the start line in the middle of the main straight.

You might be braking too late. I know you aren’t using breaking assist because you wouldn’t be complaining about this if you were.

It’s not that big of a deal, mate. You may not be breaking soon enough. The the more annoying thing for me is how the wall juts out. I’ve made turn one several times without hitting the wall despite any bump that may or may not exist.

I abosolutely love the idea of MyTeam mode because it brings a user-created team, whether privateer or corporate-backed, into F1 and lets it evolve over ten years. Thus, I'd like to hear the backstory for the team(s) you use in the mode. Once I finally get into MyTeam for good (I've created a few and deleted them immediately), my team will be Pontiac F1 Team. The Parsons family merged its first car company, Odysseus, with Ferrari to form Ferrari-Odysseus SE, which only lasted a few years before Odysseus was relegated to a marque within Ferrari. A few years after that, the marque ceased to exist. Wanting to wash their hands of the Odysseus name, the Parsons bought Pontiac's IP from GM in 2014 and started sports car manufacturer named Pontiac. They entered F1 along with Haas in 2016 as Parsons Pontiac GP Engineering with Mickey as main driver and TP using the Firebird's "screaming chicken" in green and orange as their emblem. This year, they changed the name to Pontiac F1 Team. Obviously, that emblem's impossible for in-game usage on many levels, so I'll, probably, use the arrows badge.

Correct. Bottas also had a horrendous start, which threw him off a bit. Granted, the red flag should've been a chance to reset and make some headway for him.

And, I believe this would happen in real life as well, so it doesn’t seem like a bug to me. After all, they were late enough to miss their second hot laps despite being near the cut when they needed to go out again. Granted, that may be what you’re reporting, but the topic’s title relates to the above portion of this post.

It should, however, be mentioned that tyre pressure will always be unequal because the fronts min out 1.5 psi higher than the backs. Thus, even with the most similar pressures, there'll be a minimum difference of -0.3 psi (three ticks more on the backs) or 0.1 psi (four ticks more on the backs).

As you know, I'm nowhere near ready for league racing at the moment. But, if setup matters for different cars, I'm going to start focusing my time trialing efforts on a specific car so I'm not swapping things around once I've found a setup I like for a particular track. How did you league racers pick your car? Currently, I'm between BWT Racing Point and Haas.

I can’t remember what car I was using for that time, but, as the ratings show, I’m using the Williams exclusively now. The question about next year’s game is planning ahead.

Fixed. This is racing not golf. Racing's putter has a past of puttered, which would've been out of place. I agree with this, actually.

It deals with time lost, not just infringement. Thus, you probably lost enough time that it didn’t care. Similarly, I’ve been able to bounce between the walls in Monaco’s tunnel without invalidation before.

The half-point scale above will be the default for next year’s game when I retest. Should I retest everything of just the AlphaTauri and then-Aston Martin (RP)?
