Understeer in Low-Medium Speed Corners
Yellan1410 replied to Newtown99's topic in Technical Assistance
I've had this in most of the circuits, I upped the traction control to medium and indeed it was more or less gone. The problem is they wheel doesn't let you know. -
Huge understeer problem with Thrustmaster TX

Thanks for the detailed explanation. This was indeed also as far as my comprehension was. However I did use linearity and saturation at the same time. Which according to your story more or less cancels each other out. I have a problem where it snaps away when exiting corners, although I have been doing better so probably also getting used to the traction. I did chance my throttle linearity which seemed to help with my heavy "pedal to the metal" foot. Or this might just be coincidence as I'm getting better. I have been able to make the turns in Monaco, after watching a hot lap, seemed I still was overspending the entry. But, I'm very slow around the track compared to other tracks (yes it's a difficult track) but I seem to struggle to keep speed in and out of low speed corners. Almost at a stand still and the wheel just isn't turning any further. Maybe just practice is what I need. I did a 1.16 in Monaco in the red bull so not all too bad, however I'm still 4 seconds off what I'm imagining is my possible best time. -

Actually, I do. Gonna try turning it off this afternoon. I also played around a bit with the linearity, but that didn't do anything which kinda supports your theory in the sense that it's not the wheel but the game causing the issue. Furthermore, do you have any advice on these settings linearity and saturation and such. It's a bit overwhelming and I don't seem to see a lot of difference other than breaking sat (less force needed). -
Do you use the brake or clutch as brake? I have tried both and I like the brake pedal more, also it requires a lot of force to completely have a 100 brake reading for me. You could always look at the break linearity, in that way the first part of your braking force will lead to less in game breaking and the latter (more force) will probably let you fully press the brake pads me for a 100% input. Although, if your using the regular brake pedal I highly doubt that you'll need this, perhaps only if your using it as a leg press machine.

Huge understeer problem with Thrustmaster TX

I'm having the same issues with the G29, albeit more in the slow corners in the sense that the steering doesn't turn in as much as needed (I'm at 360 degrees, 0 saturation) in my opinion upping the saturation will make this particular instance worse doesn't it? I would love for someone with knowledge of these settings to shine a light on it, as this is my first F1 game and steering wheel for that matter. -
Understeer in Low-Medium Speed Corners

The G29 has the same problem, I thought I was doing to much speed. It's also noticeable in other corners as well, for instance high speed corners where you are not able to hug the curbs. Could this also be the problem resulting in a lot of oversteer when exiting corners?or is that me just throttling to hard mid corner ?
