I've just been splashing the cash on FIFA. Got Henderson for £8,440,000 and Rodwell for £13 million.

You think that's splashing the cash ? Try getting Suarez for 9m under his vallue and then selling him on for almost twice his value.  :p

    You'll just have to buy a ps4! ;)

    or an XB1 :D

Nooooo, why on earth would he do that? :P

because like the PS4 it's a next gen system quite a good one too based on the experiences I've had so far

    But not as good. ;)

well that's just a matter of opinion as they're more or less identical in terms of hardware as far as I can tell.

Both me and jordie were being sarcastic. ;)

  2. Don't see Monza losing it appeal still a good corner without a gravel trap.

Meh , not really. All it is now is a long right hander. What made it difficult was the gravel trap on the outside (how many times have people went wide there in the past couple of years ). Now that I think of it , it was probably the most challenging corner on the calender since Spa and Silverstone etc have been covered in tarmac run-off. Some corners the tarmac run off is fine , but in corners like this it completely ruins them.

    Huh?

It's a shame it's gone, part of what makes F1 exciting is the fact that mistakes are punished.

What do you mean by huh ? I'm agreeing with what you said.

Which way does the Parabollica go? :p

    ****.

  6. Jesus, this is scary.

Max Verstappen is apparently being linked with the Red Bull and Mercedes young driver programmes, and his father, Jos, even hinted at him driving in F1 next year.

This guy is a month younger than me, and he's only 16 years old.

This was a post by someone on the autosport forums at the end of last year :

This guy (son of ex-F1 Driver Jos Verstappen) deserves some attention here. He just turned 16 years old, but this kid is definitely something else.

In 2005 at the age of 7 he begins karting in the Belgium MiniClass Championship. He wins it. In the year following he drives the same class again. Dry races, wet races... it doesn't matter. 21 Races, 21 Wins.

In 2007 he enters the Rotax Max Mini class. 18 Races. 18 Wins.

In 2008 (10 years old) he enters 3 championships: Rotax Max Mini class: 18 Races, 16 wins. BeNeLux chamionship (Rotax Max Mini): 12 races, 11 wins. Cadetclass: 11 races, 11 wins.

Because of his age he is not allowed to go to faster classes, so in 2009 he drives the same championships as in 2008. 42 Races. 39 Wins. 3 Championship titles.

In 2010 he is 12 years old and allowed to go international. He drives multiple series in the KF3 class as a works driver for CRG and becomes European Champion.

In 2011 he drives the same championships as before (again age won't allow him to go higher up) and is again crowned EU Champ, dispite missing a weekend because of a back injury.

In 2012 he enters the KF2, KF1 and KZ2 (manual gearbox) classes. He shows amazing speed, but fails to deliver results with lots of mechanical issues and crashes.

2013 Is a different story however. He becomes World Champion in the KZ and European Champion in both KZ and KF. He wins almost everything he enters.

Now being quick in a kart doesn't always mean you're quick in a racecar as well, that's always something that has to be seen.

And so he went testing a Formula Renault 2.0 at the age of 15 (and later 16) a few times last month.

First he drives some privat tests for Manor GP and Koiranen. He goes quicker than any (experienced) driver ever did for those teams. Then he enters tests where other (more experienced) drivers participate in:

    Hungaroring:

28/29 okt 2013: 1st (Breaks the official lap record)

    Spa-Francorchamps (wet):

    04 nov 2013: 1st

    05 nov 2013: 1st

    Circuit de Catalunya:

    12 nov 2013: 1st

13 nov 2013: 1st. (Breaks the official lap record)

    Not exactly a bad CV. :o :open_mouth:  :open_mouth:   He's crazy good.

  7. It is useful, every user on pc can have telemetry so it's your own fault for buying a console, codemasters are never going to do it, it doesn't appeal to their audience of casual gamers. After having used telemetry I find it's not too helpful, sure you can see where you are slow but it will only make up a tenth or so on a good lap.

It also doesn't  tell you when to put the throttle on either, it shows you your past laps, so it doesn't show you how to go faster it just shows how you did it best.

And THIS is what gives PC gamers a bad reputation. How is it their fault ? Maybe they don't like PC gaming and would prefer a console experience. Don't try and look down on people just for using a console instead of a PC.

Not sure how it makes your day lol. It doesn't really matter how much they've sold as long as you're happy with the platform of choice. Both the Consoles are good imo, M$ were always going to sell less when the PS4 is cheaper and the X1 had a load of bad press before release.

    This.

For me it's about personal preference. I liked my 360, and I really like my X1. I've played on friends PS4's, and yea, it's also a very good console, it just doesn't work for me is all. Plus the exclusives on Xbox One interest me more than the ones on PS4 do. The Last of Us is the only Playstation exclusive I'd actually want.

Plus I way prefer the Xbox controller over the DS4 :p Every time a game pops up saying press X on the PS4, I'd press square. And my left thumb constantly gravitated to the spot where the Xbox controllers left thumb stick is.

I'll probably get a PS4 one day, but right now my Xbox One does everything I want from a console and more.

I don't have either but I'm leaning towards a PS4 in the hope they might make the G27 compatible , but all my friends will will be on Xbox so it's 50/50.  The better wheel compatibility on the PS4 is a bonus too.

Sorry , I was being sarcastic. The thread is meaningless imo and that was the point I'm trying to make. I couldn't care less about it because you said as long as I'm happy with the my platform it doesn't matter. Hard to show sarcasm on the internet you know ?  :p

  10. Just started a new career with Roma. So far I've only done 2 pre -season friendlies. I won the first one 2-0 against a team I've never heard of. Can't remember the name , and then lost 3-1 to Galtasaray. Still getting to grips with it though , and I've got a feeling it might take a while before I do get the hang of things.

I completely forgot about this. I'm gonna start a new career mode with a squad I know better once I've built my desk.
