Everyone's fan base is a joke bar the tam you support. -
PeteTheDuck said:The only F1 game people I watch are IntoTheBarrier, because he has been doing videos for a long time and he's hilarious to listen to, also Team VVV because he's pretty insightful, and InsideSimRacing cos they have some pretty decent kit on there sometimes.
Yeah , I like Alan , but the guys at InsideSimRacing don't really upload all that often. I like Athleek when he was on youtube too.

SamuelTrautman said:no its an electric charge stored in a battery thats sent to the engine to increase power, it harvests from the engine braking and the turbo i think. im not 100% sure thats correct but thats how i understand it
I know it's not an engine and I'm pretty sure you're correct in what you're saying , but it instead of it being like an overtake button , it's part of the power unit. (I described pretty badly , I know.)

SamuelTrautman said:@alonsofan46 yes the ers is pre programmed and works automatically although im sure the driver can still override it and use it as needed for example if defending down a long straight and they also have an overtake button to use max power until its released. thats the way i understand it anyways
Well I know that you don't need a button , but I'm not sure if it's like a second engine.

Skiddyboy13 said:@Hatta What's it like using ERS? 33 seconds is a huuuuge proportion of a lap. Is it easy to forget to use it all? I often forgot about using all of my KERS, and that only lastest 6/7 seconds!
ERS doesn't work like KERS. You don't have to push any buttons for it to work. I's almost like a second engine. (At least that's the way I understand it.)

Just reached pit crew. :D :D

My guess is they'll call it "F1 2014/15"
Maybe something ike F1 Challenge 99-02 ? F1 10-15 ?

Happy here too. It makes sense to me. It seems like the chaos of earlier has calmed down and a few people are coming around. Like someone said in another thread , CM are damned if they do and damned if they don't. People will complain no matter what way they do it.

xPaulStuart said:My only comments on the TV coverage is that the BBC are an absolute joke, with only 9 live races a year.
The only why to bypass this is to get a Sky Sports subscription which costs an absolute fortune.
Frankly I think with the BBC being one of the biggest, if not THE biggest broadcasting company in the world they should be able to show every race live like a few years ago.
This thing which annoys me most is that I always seem to find out who has got pole/the win before I actually get to watch the race due to Facebook or The news etc.
Really annoys me...
You can't seriously expect to not find out who's on pole/won if you're going to go browsing facebook.

And blame Codemasters.....What is the situation with wheels? Does neither the PS4 or XB1 have any supported wheels?PS4 supports Thrustmaster wheels only I think. Don't know about the Xbox.

No they don't. They have the same steering wheels as they do in real life. ;)
They do, look at each of the onboards (bar Force India) in the trailer, they look identical
Look at them closer , they're not. They're the same as in real life. The Sauber and Torro Rosso wheels look similar in real life.

Hughesy said:Well other companies seem to do just fine releasing next gen titles. Fifa is much better on the ps4 than last gen. Even releasing F1 with similar graphics to the pc and running at 60fps would've been better than nothing. They could've just used the PC version as it looks amazing compared to the 360/ps3 versions so would've been a big step up for console gamers.
Then people would still be complaining that all they've done is improved graphics. I want a properly finished F1 game when I jump to next gen consoles. and it's also a massive plus for me that they're releasing it earlier in the season. You also have Project Cars to play before F1 2014 comes out .

The new consoles will have been out for nearly 11 months by the time F1 2014 is released, yet it won't be on them. I wholeheartedly agree with @Mexicola, that it's retarded.
So you'd rather they released a half finished version ? I'd much rather have F1 2015 early on in the season than have a half finished F1 2014 game rushed onto next gen.

Good spot @afrodude41, how are they gonna get around the team name though?
What ?
What what?
The bold writing . What do you mean by that ? :p
In last year's trailer, they showed a race starting - but instead of the 5 red lights going out, it started simply with the lights going green. Everyone presumed it was a formation lap because afterwards it appeared to show the cars forming up on the grid too.
Oh yeah. I remember that now.

Yes sure maybe F1 2014 won't be that spectacular, but with F1 2015 being developed for what seems to be quite a while now, as they said last year they were cooking up a storm on next gen, AND being released early in the season, it seems we will see something fantastic next year.
Me too. People were complaining about wanting it released earlier in the season. Well now they've got that and they're still complaining. This was the way to go that imo.

Well I'm happy. I'll be getting F1 2014 and F1 2015 will release early on in the season.
