Rosberg to retire. We need the points gap to become more or less even going into the summer break to keep the excitement/hype going for at least a solid month.

And you do realise that if Rosberg retires and Hamilton wins Hamilton will have a bigger lead than Rosberg currently has.

    Errrm, no. Just no.

Currently it's Rosberg 14 pts ahead

With your scenario, HAM would be 11 pts ahead.

    Simple maths ftw. ;)

Sorry , I didn't check the table. I had it in my head that Rosberg was 11 points ahead and that would mean Hamilton would be 14 points ahead. (The other way around). But if you're so fixated on closing up the points , then wouldn't it make more sense for Rosberg to come second and Hamilton to win ? So 4 points of a difference. Simple maths ftw .  ;)

I wasn't fixated on closing up the points. I just corrected your claim about the gap. Which I have to do again, because if Rosberg finishes 2nd and Lewis finishes 1st, the gap will be 7 points, not 4 points.

    Simple maths ftw x2. ;)

Isn't the gap 11 points though ? You just confused me. The gap is 14 points. WHY DO I THINKS IT'S 11 ? :#

  3. Can't beat a bit of karting! Only thing that's annoying is how effective the weight to power ratio is. Luckily I'm smallish, but when you get kids racing its pretty damn annoying as they sail past on the straights. Outdoor karting is awesome on a hot day, or a damp day, mega fun

Yeah that's pretty good for me. I'm pretty light compared to my mates and the older guys so on the straights I was able to easily get alongside them and overtake them into the corners.

I went karting with a mate a couple of weeks ago to a track we'd never been to before. When we got off the guy there looked at my friends fastest time . He said it was very good for his first time there. It turned out I had gone one hundredth of a second faster. The satisfaction.  :D

  4. Until I see it confirmed on the Autosport/F1 website then I will have my doubts. Wasn't there something like this last year, but that turned out to be false

Same here. The first thing I did was check Autosport and I saw nothing so I have my doubts too. I would love to see it happen though.

I guess if I watch it then I'd support Virgin and Da Costa. If I watch it that is, I'll watch the first few and see if they're good.

Agreed. The Virgin livery looks amazing too. It will be interesting. It'll either be a massive failure or a massive success.
