    Telemetry Software: PXG F1 Telemetry

Hi @Ender0042 What language did you write your app in? I’ve been trying to learn programming over lockdown, and I’d love to have a go at building a telemetry app as a project! Just wondering what language you used as I like your app a lot. 👍

PSN Name Change - Any Issues for F1 2020?

Hey, I'm looking to change my PSN name and it gave me a warning on the Playstation site that changing your name can affect leaderboards or saves etc. Are there any issues with changing my PSN name for F1 2020? Ie losing setups, wheel settings, leaderboards etc? Thanks! James
  4. Thanks a lot @BarryBL!

Time Trial Leaderboards Fail to Load (0 players)

Hey @BarryBL, Hope you’re well. As an update for this, I opened the ports recommended, but unfortunately I am still getting this bug whereby the leaderboards stop loading (and the game indefinitely hangs on Communicating with Online services after exiting time trial). Do you have any other recommendations for a possible fix? Would providing Report Codes help in solving network issues like this? If so I’m happy to gather a list of report codes from my time trial sessions this week 🙂
  6. Hi @BarryBL, Ah okay, I thought that might have been the case but I thought I’d raise it just in case it wasn’t. Thanks for clarifying - just got to make sure I don’t hit anyone in front!
  7. Description: To preface, I’m uncertain if this is a bug or intended. Under safety car conditions, if you make the slightest bit of contact with another car (or another car contacts you), you receive a 5 second penalty. PS4 1.12 (and previous versions) Unranked Wireless 14 players in lobby Do others experience this?: It seems to happen to anyone who makes contact during the safety car Replication: Can replicate through contact under safety car in all races How do you make the problem happen?: Under safety car, make (any sort) of contact with another car. RHTE-XPVG-HKDV-EAKJ Video evidence: slightest of touches: https://clips.twitch.tv/ImpossibleEphemeralWasabiANELE Hit from behind: https://clips.twitch.tv/ManlyTiredPastaNomNom hit from behind (different race): https://clips.twitch.tv/OnerousSucculentYamAllenHuhu
  8. Thanks @BarryBL! Made sure I had replication and the Report Code for this 🙂
  9. A detailed description of the issue: (Video A) During a safety car, if I accidentally overtake another car, I rightfully get an illegal overtake warning. However, when giving the position back, the car I originally overtook now unrightfully gets an illegal overtake warning. This results in a to and fro-ing between the two cars who are both trying to avoid an illegal overtake penalty. (Video B) There was also an occasion where I overtook somebody just after we got a safety car, and the car ahead had to unrightfully concede his place Platform: PS4 Version: 1.09 Ranked/Unranked/Leagues: Unranked Wired or Wireless Connection?: Wireless The amount of players in your session?: 16 Were you the host?: No Did this issue happens for everyone in the session, just some people or just yourself? What did they see?: Just me and the car that I experienced the bug with had the issue. Can you make the problem happen again?: Yes, I have experienced it twice in two races when I've accidentally overtaken/been overtaken by another driver under safety car. Replication Method: Car 1 that is ahead, slow down and allow car 2 behind to pass. Car 2 should now rightfully get an Illegal Overtake warning. When Car 1 passes Car 2 to regain their position, Car 1 will now get the Illegal Overtake warning, and Car 2's warning will go away. Report Code: HTHK-RVBM-GDAV-EAKJ is the most recent race (Spain) Video Evidence: Video A https://www.twitch.tv/videos/768222883 https://clips.twitch.tv/GracefulSplendidOcelotKreygasm Video B https://clips.twitch.tv/CoweringAntsyEggPJSalt
  10. A detailed description of the issue. When the (full) safety car was ending, and the safety car was driving off, I was suddenly unable to apply any throttle whatsoever for around 5-7 seconds. When I was able to apply the throttle again and take back my position, I was given an illegal overtake warning. I believe that the driver who overtook me also received the illegal overtake warning, meaning one of us would have had to have gotten a penalty for the action. PS4 1.09 Unranked Wireless 17 players in the session I was not the host. In this instance, it appears it was just me that had this issue I’ve not been able to replicate the problem in following safety car restarts. However, I have noticed this issue happen in TRL Limitless’ Australia video, and another streamed video. I’ll link these two with my clip below. I’m unsure what I did to cause this problem. Unfortunately I didn’t make a note of the report code. Here is a clip of the issue. Note the illegal overtake warning too https://clips.twitch.tv/OilyAwkwardJellyfishOSkomodo I also streamed the entire session if that helps! for TRL Limitless’ video - 54:40 is where LVA Brown in 12th experiences the same issue. I also saw an instance of this on a recent stream from last Sunday, but I’ve been unable to find the footage.
  11. Hi Barry, Regarding the Time Trial leaderboards failing to load (which I think also ties in with Communicating with Online Services forever hanging), I've gone through the threads and found all posts regarding this topic. Hopefully this can raise enough awareness for this to be looked into. The top post has a bug report in which should provide all information. As a summary: after a period of time (5-~25 mins), the global and friends leaderboards stop loading in Time Trial. Upon exiting time trial when this happens, the game infinitely loops on "Communicating with Online Services". The game also can infinitely loop on "Communicating with Online Services" upon leaving multiplayer after a session. (I've just seen your reply regarding opening port 3074 for TCP and UDP and will try that today). Thanks
  12. Hi all, I’m confident that this is the same underlying issue as this recent post. Just to reiterate the above points, this is not a 1.08 or 1.09 issue. I made a post surrounding this in July - Once the time trial leaderboards stop showing up, then after leaving the Time Trial the game forever hangs on “Communicating with Online Services”. Also, if I play, say, multiplayer for an extended period of time, after leaving the lobby I’ll get “Communicating with Online Services” forever hanging again. Apologies for jumping onto these forum posts, but this has been an issue that a lot of us have been suffering with since launch, and it’d be much appreciated if this could be looked at as a bug, and not simply a client-side connection issue (although that may play a part). Thanks
  13. Hi Barry, I believe NAT type 1 involves connecting directly to the modem without a router which is infeasible for a proportion of people. I also have a Type 2 NAT but I’ve changed my in game NAT strictness to ‘Open’ on other games (e.g COD) by forwarding ports. Do certain ports need to be opened for F1 2020? Thanks
  14. Barry initially responded but hasn’t since unfortunately, even after multiple replies to the post from myself.
  15. Hi, to bump this, this is exactly the same issue I posted about with my ‘time trials leaderboards’ post over a month back. this is still an issue. Id really appreciate if somebody from the team could acknowledge this.
