I know I'm almost a year late on posting this but your reply seriously ****** me off enough to make this account just to reply. Not only you're a judgmental brat, you are a SPOILED judgmental brat...! The kind of person that instead of trying to fix something, just throws it away and buys another!
Yeah, I too have a 60GB SSD just for my Windows installation. I TOO have 3,5TB of HDD to store anything else. I'm not financially able to go buy a 500 GB SSD just because a game wants to suck 2GB out of my SSD with NO OPTION TO SELECT A DIFFERENT DRIVE! And your "dilemma"?? That " either create the space or don't play the game, you can't have both." joke? Well, I'm "having both" with LITERALLY EVERY OTHER GAME IN MY PC, except F1 games. No need to create space and, you guessed it, I'm PLAYING THE GAMES! So, if you can't actually help with something meaningful, like "you could use the xyz parameters on game start to change the default strorage folder", very politely, you can stfu! The guy came here for help and all he got was a condescending ARSE that thinks high and might of himself because daddy spoiled him too much when he was a kid (and maybe still is)!
Anyway, I found no workaround to fix this around the internet so I guess Codemasters doesn't really care about this issue. Good thing I got this game for free so I can just ignore playing it alltogether, if I spent money on it and had to clear my SSD every time I wanted to play the game, I'd get mad!
