    F1 2021 Wishlist

Following a modest result in F1 2020, I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't fully impressed with the game. It is a game to forget for me. But since then, I've been writing a wishlist for F1 2021, and I really want one of them to happen. 1. New race engineer Game by game, Jeff is slaying the real F1 experience. We need a new race engineer to replace him. And talking about race engineer, I don't want to hear any radio message that acts like a game tutorial. For instance, explaining the MFD. This creates a bestial amount of gap to the real F1 racing experience. 2. Track decorations MUST match real life's In F1 2020 I've been seeing multiple times track decorations that doesn't even exist in real life. Example: At Zandvoort, Circuit of the Americas and Silverstone, for some reason you guys spawned a Ferris wheel. Remove them. This could be against the track licensing either. And talking about licensing, 3. Bring back the Red Flags Yeah, I bet you saw this one coming. I've been literally hungry to see the red flags to come back and every single opportunity I wished so never happened. Last time we had a F1 game with red flags was F1 2014 in the PS3 and Xbox 360. This is just unacceptable. I can't accept this anymore. 4. No more slow motion effect after terminal damage Yes, the slow motion effect (or killcam), KILLS realism. Period. I'm fed up of seeing this effect after any terminal damage. You would think that there is someone on this beautiful Earth that would accept such a thing like this, especially for the sim racers? I bet there is none. (Poor sim racers, I wonder how much they suffer to this 😥) 5. Real dashes for each steering wheel Okay, this is also another thing I wanted for F1 2020. Result: MFD... AGAIN. If you believe that the teams hide secrets in their dashes then believe in me if you want to: This is NOT true. Each team show the same information as other teams do, so no more excuses, I really want real dashes. 6. Add more Fuel Mix modes 4 fuel mix modes has nothing to do with F1. A F1 car has more than 4 fuel mix modes. Same goes for the ERS. And talking about ERS, I need the overtake button driver hand animations to be corrected. McLaren, for instance, uses the overtake button with the OT button, not with the C switch. 7. All Project CARS' fictional logotypes available for customizations Now that Slightly Mad Studios have been bought by Codemasters, it would be a perfect idea for Codies themselves to add all Project CARS' fictional logotypes to use them to add sponsors to your Multiplayer and My Team car. If you don't know any of Project CARS' fictional logos, here are some examples: Demonio Energy Drink, Rosso & Bianco - Men's Fashion, Almynec Carbon Parts, Copter2 Motor Oil, Mudino Motor Oil, Ebblix Racing Spark Plug Wires, etc. 8. Last of my suggestions: Add FULL simulation game mode There are a lot of people in the world that plays F1 2020 with their sim rigs and I think it is respectful to implement full simulation mode. So do I want it. So... yeah. That's what I wish for F1 2021.

    F1 2021 Wishlist

You can already do it with F1 2020, but with third-party apps. I use SIM Dashboard with my mobile phone and even more: I even remade the real steering wheel displays not for all teams, but most of them I did. The real dashes does not expose secrets and I can prove it.

Thanks for making me remember. I was supposed to write the same wish but I forgot back then.

F1 2021 Full on manager mode?

That's what I expected from My Team in F1 2020. I can't wait for your suggestion to happen 🙏

    F1 2020 copyright on YouTube

FOM cannot block a F1 game footage just because the Esports look similar. They are not supposed to do that.

    improve the damage

I've been wishing for this since the game was released, and seeing it still missing makes me feel uncomfortable. I even stopped playing the game for some time after that, but when F2 2020 came, I decided to go back play it. It is just painful to see the rear wing "invincible".

    Some suggestions

Your car damage suggestions is not even suggestions. They are MUSTS. Gonna agree with you.

    Real dashboards ideas

I have some ideas of real dashboards for each car and I wanted to know which more is realistic. I remade them using SIM Dashboard and the results were very good. Please note that the Ferrari dashboards are not remade by me, and I didn't even made them for SIM Dashboard. The Ferrari dashboards were remade by Esportsim. Also remember that I'm yet to remake Mclaren, Haas and Williams' dashboards. But by the way, how does it look like at the moment?

    Real dashboards ideas

Those real dashboards are UDP telemetries and the way I inserted their pictures in-game was just an edit. You can find my designs at SIM Dashboard.

    Real dashboards ideas

It's not a mod. These pictures are edited, but despite that, you can find them at SIM Dashboard. It works for PS4 and Xbox One as well.

How to Improve F1 as a title going forward

How to improve F1 games from going forward? Easy. That's why we have the suggestions.

    Fanatec FOM wheel

Did you say door? Oh wait.

The game is so boringly coded!!

This is why we would need a spectator mode after a DNF. Period. No more whining because of licenses and THAT'S MANDATORY.
  14. Now that Slightly Mad Studios is a Codemasters company, I've been thinking of one thing. How about taking their custom fictional logotypes to F1 2020 as a source of new sponsor pack for customization? I believe they have a lot of fictional sponsors, so adding them to F1 2020 would be good because you would have more sponsor options in the livery editor so it would make the liveries a little bit unique. Some examples of their fictional sponsors are: BERAN, Demonio Energy Drink, Hiramashi, ROTMEG, BRiTGENS, Rosso & Bianco - Men's Fashion, Ebblix Racing Spark Plug Wires, Avielldi Global Logistics, Petroblast, Jancon Mobile, Copter2 Motor Oil, Mudino Motor Oil, etc.

    Fisheye camera

The issue would be the settings of the T-cam cameras. We would struggle to change them for a better matching even with a fisheye cam, because I believe if you find a realistic camera settings for each car, I don't think they will be realistic because most of them lack the fisheye effect.

    HUD suggestion

Hello, did you forget the "LiCeNsInG rEaSoNs"? I don't think this will ever gonna happen.
  17. We may have Time Trial in case of running without AI but you can't change other options whilst driving. If we have a Private Training mode like Project CARS 2, I would be grateful.
  18. Davi Javarini

Private Training (Free Practice with no AI)

This is also another reason why we need Private Training. Period.

F1 2021 what to make different

You know what could be missing in the damage model? REAR WING DAMAGE. If it's part of their license that they can't implement rear wing damage to the cars, we wouldn't be having front wing damage either. Or at least implement rear wing damage only to classic cars, they don't have DRS so I guess it wouldn't be so brutal to try it.
  20. Davi Javarini

Private Training (Free Practice with no AI)

I can do that but the issue would be for a limited time session depending on what I choose. I'm saying this because what I want is an infinite session time, something we wouldn't ever be doing online.

    Steering wheel dashboard suggestions

Whilst F1 games are going realistic every release, there is still a big amount of things that remains unreal. Yes, I'm talking about the steering wheel's dashboards for each car, which are still the "MFD" we all know. Every F1 2020 car has the same display, which is not realistic! It would be perfect to each car have their real dashes, not all of them with MFD. The MFD functions exist but I don't think the MFD itself exists in real life. If F1 games were made to be the most realistic possible, so why bother creating dashboards that doesn't even exist? It makes the cars very awkward in terms of immersion, either. Even though this remains unaltered (possibly forever), I know some real dashes of the cars, like Racing Point, AlphaTauri, Ferrari, Mercedes and Renault.
  22. When I get a DNF for whatever reason, I wish I could spectate the race watching other drivers, just like the multiplayer, but in solo gameplays. For instance, I have engine problems, I retire, and later on to have the cutscene of the driver getting out of the car. But instead of going to the end of the race, how about spectating other drivers? Really hoping for this to come in the next patch of the game.

More info on steering wheel display

And talking about wheel display, it is so silly the fact that every car has the same display designs. Each of them MUST be the same as the real life and period. It's also better not bother talking about licensing, because if it was like that, realism would be null every time. Even though this might be possible, I recreated a lot of F1 dashboards in SIM Dashboard, and most of them are identical to real life, with no difference whatsoever. The 2017 Force India is an example.

    Photo Mode Suggestions

When F1 2019 was released with a Photo Mode more accessible and you can get far from the car anytime (same for F1 2020), what mostly impressed me is the music it plays. But it's not about the music I'm talking about. I'm talking about unnecessary limitations like blocking the camera to avoid going out of the track, which remains some essence of the game in some ways. However Codemasters should in turn remove invisible barriers from the track walls, which results into a big gain of freedom during Photo Mode. It is also useful for the player to explore the entire map without struggling to get off the track, which also gives some possibilities to find hidden easter eggs like the F1 2013's Game Cover hidden in the Spanish Grand Prix circuit in F1 2019, when off the track but inside. So, sure, it would give us freedom so we would no longer bother all the time trying to get outside the track. Even though this is a suggestion, there is a way to exploit this, but I'm not gonna explain it because of the forum rules.

Jeff never says if a driver has a penalty

Good idea. Actually that'a mandatory, I guess.
